Custom jewelry is a piece made to a buyer's own specifications rather than selected from existing stock — the metal, stone, setting, dimensions and engraving are chosen by the customer and produced to order. It differs from personalized jewelry, where an existing design is only engraved or monogrammed. Every custom piece we build uses gemstones sourced through our own verified supply chain — IGI-certified lab-grown diamonds, GRA-certified moissanite, and responsibly sourced natural gemstones with documented origin. This policy lets us guarantee the quality, durability, and ethical sourcing of every stone we set, and ensures every ring carries the same material standards across our entire catalog. If you have a stone with sentimental value you'd like to honor, we're happy to design a pieceinspired by its color, cut, or character — using a comparable stone from our verified sourcing.

We don't create 3D renderings before an order is placed. Custom design work — sketches, CAD modeling, 3D rendering — is a meaningful time investment for our team, and it begins only after your order is confirmed. This is what allows us to give every custom designed engagement ring the unhurried attention it deserves. You're never locked in: once we send your 3D rendering, you have the chance to review it carefully and request revisions until the design is exactly right. If you're not satisfied with the rendering after revisions and don't want to proceed, you receive a 100% refund as long as production hasn't started. The order-first model exists so both sides commit fully — and so the rendering stage gets the real craft attention it deserves.

Yes. Revisions are expected — most commissions go through two or three rounds before approval. Change the band width, adjust stone size or spacing, alter the gallery, or swap the setting style entirely. Production begins only once the render matches what you want.

Yes. Custom wedding rings can be designed as a set from the start, or a contoured band can be built later to sit flush against an engagement ring you already own. Yes — inside-band engraving is available on every custom ring in your choice of typeface, and can include dates, names, coordinates, handwriting, fingerprints, or a phrase in any language. Custom and made-to-order pieces are produced for one person and are handled under our custom and personalized orders policy rather than the standard returns and refunds policy. This is precisely why the 3D approval stage exists — you see and sign off on the design before we cast. Anything that arrives not matching the approved render is our responsibility, covered under the Aquamarise warranty.

For heirloom-tier solid gold and platinum commissions, we provide documentation suitable for insurance purposes. Tungsten, titanium, and sterling silver commissions don't typically require independent appraisal due to their material value.

Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush handle routine cleaning for most metals and stones, and pieces should be stored separately so harder stones don't scratch softer ones. Softer stones such as moss agate and opal (Mohs 6.5–7) need gentler handling than diamond or sapphire, and Damascus steel is iron-based so it must be kept dry.
