Shop Pay Installments
Four interest-free payments, or monthly for up to a year
Shop Pay Installments is built into our checkout for U.S. customers and is powered by Affirm. It covers orders from $35 to $30,000, so it works for a sterling silver promise ring and for a custom platinum engagement ring alike.
- Orders from $50 to $999.99: four interest-free payments, one every two weeks, with the first taken at checkout. Three-payment plans are offered too.
- Orders from $150: monthly payments over 3, 6 or 12 months. Interest rates vary by eligibility and the exact rate, schedule and total are shown before you confirm. As an example, $1,200 over 12 months at 15% APR is about $108 a month.
- Orders over $1,000: monthly plans only, still up to 12 months.
- Orders from $35 to $49.99: two interest-free payments.
Checking your eligibility does not affect your credit score, and there are no late fees or hidden fees. Your order enters production the moment the plan is approved.
What the numbers mean for a ring
Most of our sterling silver and vermeil rings sit between $75 and $400, so they qualify for Pay in 4 at $19 to $100 per payment with no interest. Solid gold and platinum pieces usually fall in the $800 to $3,500 range, where a 12-month plan turns a $1,600 ring into roughly $144 a month at 15% APR, or less at a lower rate.
How it works
Choosing a payment plan takes about a minute
There is no application to fill in before you shop. The plan is offered at checkout, on the order you have already built.
- Add your pieces to the cart and go to checkout as usual.
- Choose Shop Pay or Klarna as the payment method. If your order qualifies, the installment options appear.
- Pick a plan. Pay in 4, or a monthly term. The schedule, any interest and the total are shown before you confirm anything.
- Pay the first installment today. The rest are charged automatically to the card you chose, and you can manage them in the Shop app or the Klarna app.
Your order is confirmed in full the moment the plan is approved and enters production on the normal schedule: ready-to-ship pieces in 1 to 4 business days, made-to-order solid gold and platinum in 3 to 6 weeks.
Klarna
Klarna: pay in 4, or over time
Klarna is a second interest-free option at our checkout. Select Klarna as your payment method and choose Pay in 4: four payments, one every two weeks, with the first taken when you order. Klarna states a service fee of $1.29 to $5.99 may apply to some Pay in 4 plans and shows it before you confirm.
For larger orders Klarna may offer monthly financing through its lending partner, WebBank. Terms, rates and approval are set by Klarna and shown at checkout. Payments are managed in the Klarna app, and refunds on accepted returns go back through Klarna, which cancels the remaining schedule.
