Some rings sparkle; this one glows like winter sunlight caught in bare branches. An oval moissanite engagement ring in solid white gold, its ~1.5 carat D-color center held by delicately carved leaf shoulders—icy brilliance wrapped in living form.
Why the oval cut flatters every hand
The oval brilliant is the shape jewelers reach for when they want maximum presence without maximum carat. Its elongated outline stretches visually along the finger, so the approximately 6.0 x 8.0 mm center stone reads larger than a round of the same weight—and its rounded corners have no points to catch or chip. Faceted like a round brilliant, it returns the same crushed-ice fire from every angle. If this silhouette speaks to you, our full collection of oval moissanite engagement rings explores it in every setting style.
A leaf-carved setting with quiet symbolism
Look closely at the shoulders and you will find sculpted leaves unfurling toward the center stone—a nature-inspired detail that turns a classic solitaire profile into something personal. Leaves have long stood for growth, renewal, and a love that keeps putting out new shoots. It is a motif we return to often across our leaf engagement rings and the wider world of nature-inspired engagement rings, but here it stays understated: from arm's length, a refined solitaire; up close, a small forest in precious metal.
Please note the ruby leaf wedding band shown in some photos is sold separately and is not included with this engagement ring.
White gold, platinum, and the karat question
This ring is cast in solid white gold—10K, 14K, or 18K—or solid platinum, selected from the drop-down. 10K is the most durable and most affordable; 14K is the classic balance of purity and everyday strength (our default); 18K carries the highest gold content for the most luxurious feel. Platinum is a naturally white precious metal, denser in the hand and hypoallergenic. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat comparison guide and our platinum vs gold guide break down the trade-offs. Whichever you choose, the metal is solid all the way through—the color is permanent, and it will never turn your skin green. The average band width is a slender 1.7 mm, which keeps the focus on the stone. Explore more heirloom-grade pieces in our solid gold rings collection.
Moissanite: a real gemstone with more fire than diamond
Moissanite is not an imitation of anything—it is its own gemstone, lab-created silicon carbide with a higher refractive index than diamond and more than twice the dispersion, which is why it throws noticeably more rainbow fire in sunlight. This center stone is graded D color (colorless) and VVS1 clarity, with matching moissanite accents. At 9–9.25 on the Mohs scale it is harder than sapphire and ruby, built for decades of daily wear. Curious how it stacks up as a diamond alternative? Read how moissanite compares to a lab-grown diamond and whether moissanite passes a diamond tester.

Sizing & care
Select your size from the drop-down—half and quarter sizes are offered—and confirm your fit with our Find Your Size guide before ordering, as sizing can vary slightly between jewelers' tools. Care is simple: warm water, a drop of mild soap, and a soft brush restore full brilliance in minutes. Moissanite's hardness means it shrugs off everyday scratches, but store the ring separately from other jewelry to protect the metal's polish. An optional professional appraisal is available in the drop-down menu (non-refundable once completed).
Frequently Asked Questions
Is moissanite a real gemstone?
Yes. Moissanite is a genuine lab-created gemstone—silicon carbide—with its own optical fingerprint: a higher refractive index than diamond and more than double the dispersion, so it displays even more rainbow fire.
Will the stone look like a diamond?
To most eyes, yes—this D color, VVS1 clarity oval reads as a flawless colorless stone. The tell is in its favor: moissanite throws more colorful fire in direct light than a comparable diamond does.
Does moissanite pass a diamond tester?
On standard thermal testers, moissanite often registers as diamond because both conduct heat exceptionally well. Only combination electrical testers distinguish them, which is why jewelers use specialized equipment.
What are the exact specs of the center stone?
An oval brilliant lab-created moissanite measuring approximately 6.0 x 8.0 mm and weighing about 1.5 carats, graded D color (colorless) and VVS1 clarity, with moissanite accent stones.
Is this ring solid gold or plated?
Solid precious metal all the way through—never gold plated or gold filled. Choose 10K, 14K, or 18K solid white gold, or solid platinum, from the drop-down.
Should I choose 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold?
10K is the most durable and most affordable, 14K is the classic balance of purity and strength that most couples pick, and 18K has the highest gold content for the richest, most luxurious feel.
How is platinum different from white gold here?
Platinum is naturally white, noticeably denser and heavier in the hand, and hypoallergenic—a premium choice for sensitive skin. White gold delivers a very similar bright look at a friendlier price.
Is moissanite durable enough for everyday wear?
Absolutely. At 9–9.25 on the Mohs scale, moissanite is harder than sapphire and ruby—second only to diamond among ring-worthy gems—and resists scratching and clouding for decades of daily wear.
Is the ruby leaf wedding band included?
No. The ruby leaf wedding band pictured in some photos is sold separately; this listing is for the oval moissanite engagement ring only.
Can I have the ring engraved?
Yes—complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included. Add your date, initials, or a private phrase at no extra cost.
How long does production take?
Each ring is made to order; please allow 3–5 weeks for handcrafted production. Custom modifications may extend the timeline slightly.
Can I request a different metal color or gemstone?
Yes. Rose gold and yellow gold are available on request, and alternative center gemstones can be quoted—contact us for a personalized quote before ordering.
How do I find my ring size?
Use our Find Your Size guide on the sizing page before you order. Half and quarter sizes are available in the drop-down, and measuring at the end of the day gives the truest fit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
