Think of a mirrored ballroom in 1925 — geometry, glamour, and light multiplied everywhere you look. The Cordelia brings that spirit to the hand: an art deco oval moissanite engagement ring in solid 14K white gold, its GRA certified center wrapped in brilliant moissanite accents that turn every movement into a small light show. All the drama of the deco era, at a price that leaves room for the honeymoon.
Fire the Deco Era Would Have Loved
The jewelers of the 1920s built rings to catch electric light, the dazzling new technology of their day. Moissanite would have thrilled them: its dispersion — the optical property that splits white light into rainbow flashes — is more than double a diamond’s, so the Cordelia’s oval center doesn’t just sparkle, it burns with visible color. Surrounded by intricate vintage detailing set with brilliant moissanite accents, the whole ring reads as one continuous field of light. If you’re still weighing your center-stone options, our guide to whether moissanite is a lab-grown diamond untangles the two in plain language.
The Elongated Oval Advantage
The approximately 6 × 8 mm oval center — around 1.5 carats — stretches gracefully along the finger, lending the elegant, elongating effect that has made oval moissanite engagement rings one of the most requested silhouettes in the catalog. The oval’s rounded brilliant faceting keeps the fire constant from every angle, while the antique-style detailing beneath it gives the profile the layered, architectural look collectors prize in true vintage and antique engagement rings.
Certified Colorless, Honestly Priced
The center stone arrives GRA certified at D color — the very top of the colorless scale — with VVS1 clarity, meaning inclusions are effectively invisible even under magnification. Moissanite is a genuine gemstone, silicon carbide at 9–9.25 on the Mohs scale, harder than sapphire and built for a lifetime of daily wear. The honest math: a stone of this size, color, and clarity costs a fraction of its mined equivalent, with more fire. That value equation is why our moissanite jewelry collection keeps growing — and if you’re curious how the stone reads on a jeweler’s pen tester, see does moissanite pass a diamond tester.
Solid White Gold or Platinum
Choose solid 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold, or platinum, straight from the drop-down menu. 10K is the hardest and most affordable of the golds; 14K is the most popular all-rounder; 18K carries the richest gold content for a more luxurious feel; platinum is naturally white, the densest option, and hypoallergenic for sensitive skin. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat guide walks through the differences. Prefer yellow or rose gold? Both are available on request in every karat — or browse the full range of women’s engagement rings for other styles.

Sizing & Care
Every Cordelia is made to order in your exact size — the find-your-size guide shows how to measure at home, and note that sizing can vary up to a half size between jewelers’ tools. Moissanite care is refreshingly simple: warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush restore full fire in minutes. Complimentary engraving (up to 16 characters) is included, an optional appraisal is available from the drop-down menu, and the ring ships free in the USA with a free luxury ring box. Every stone is conflict-free.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the Cordelia an art deco design?
The Cordelia pairs an elongated oval center with intricate vintage-style detailing and brilliant accents - the layered geometry and maximized light play that defined the deco era, reinterpreted for modern daily wear.
Is moissanite a real gemstone?
Yes. Moissanite is silicon carbide, a genuine gemstone with its own chemistry and optics, first discovered in a meteor crater. It is not an imitation of anything - it is its own remarkable mineral.
How does its sparkle compare to a diamond?
Moissanite has more than double the dispersion of diamond, so it throws noticeably more rainbow fire - colored flashes instead of purely white glints. In sunlight the difference is striking, and many people prefer it.
How big does the oval center look on the finger?
At approximately 6 x 8 mm - around 1.5 carats - the oval reads as a confident center stone, and its elongated shape stretches along the finger, making it appear larger than a round stone of the same weight.
What does GRA certified mean?
The center moissanite is independently graded and documented by GRA - D color, the top of the colorless scale, and VVS1 clarity. The certificate ships with the ring; other certifications are available at additional cost.
Will it pass a diamond tester?
Most handheld pen testers measure thermal conductivity, and moissanite conducts heat much like diamond, so it often registers as diamond. Our guide on the diamond-tester question covers exactly what testers can and cannot tell you.
Is moissanite durable enough for everyday wear?
Yes. At 9-9.25 on the Mohs scale it is harder than sapphire and second only to diamond among ring-worthy gems. It resists scratching and keeps its fire through decades of daily life.
Which metal should I choose?
10K white gold is the hardest and most affordable; 14K is the balanced favorite most couples pick; 18K has the richest gold content; platinum is naturally white, heavier, and hypoallergenic. All four are solid precious metal.
Is the ring solid gold or plated?
Solid, through and through - solid 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold, or solid platinum. There is no plating anywhere on the ring, so the color is permanent and it will never turn your skin green.
Can I get it in yellow or rose gold?
Yes. The Cordelia is shown in white gold, but yellow and rose gold are available in every karat on request - just contact us before ordering.
Is engraving included?
Yes - complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included, perfect for a date, initials, or a short phrase.
How long until my ring ships?
Each Cordelia is made to order; please allow 3-5 weeks for it to be handmade for you. Requested modifications may adjust the production timeline and pricing.
What if I do not know my ring size?
Use the find-your-size guide linked in the sizing section to measure at home in minutes. Sizing can vary up to a half size between jewelers' tools, so measure carefully or ask us for help.
Can I add an appraisal or a different center stone?
Yes on both. An optional appraisal is selectable from the drop-down menu (non-refundable once performed), and different gemstone options are available - contact us for a custom quote.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
