Some rings ask you to take their word for it. The Cordelia hands you the paperwork. This art deco inspired lab grown diamond engagement ring in solid 14K white gold centers an IGI certified oval diamond — D color, VVS clarity — documented, serial-numbered, and genuinely yours to verify. Vintage romance on the outside, modern proof all the way through.
A Diamond With Its Papers in Order
The Cordelia’s center stone is a lab-grown diamond — a real diamond in every measurable respect, with the same carbon crystal structure, the same Mohs 10 hardness, and the same brilliance as a mined stone. What sets it apart is the documentation: the diamond is IGI certified, and every ring includes a certificate of authenticity with a unique serial number confirming its quality and origin. IGI is one of the world’s leading grading laboratories for lab-grown diamonds; our IGI vs GIA certification guide explains what the report actually verifies and why it matters when you compare rings.
Vintage Design, Documented Brilliance
The oval center — approximately 6 × 8 mm and around 1.5 carats — sits amid delicate vintage detailing set with lab-grown diamond accents, so the antique-inspired silhouette carries a fully modern light performance. Graded D color, the highest colorless grade, with VVS clarity, the stone shows no visible inclusions and no tint against the white metal. The elongated shape flatters the finger, which is much of why oval engagement rings remain a perennial favorite among heirloom-style settings.
Grown, Not Mined — and Priced Accordingly
Lab-grown diamonds crystallize above ground under the same conditions that form diamonds in the earth, which makes them an ethical, traceable choice at a meaningfully lower price than mined equivalents — our complete lab-grown diamond guide covers the science and the buying strategy in depth. If you’re thinking about long-term worth, the honest discussion in do lab-grown diamonds hold value is worth ten minutes before any purchase. Compare more certified pieces across our lab-grown diamond engagement rings.
Four Solid Metals, One Standard
The Cordelia is made to order in solid 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold, or platinum — each selectable from the drop-down menu. 10K is the hardest and most affordable gold; 14K balances durability and gold content and is the option most couples choose; 18K carries the richest gold content for a warmer, more luxurious feel; platinum is naturally white, densest of the four, and hypoallergenic. Deciding between the higher karats? Our 14K vs 18K gold guide for engagement rings settles it. Yellow and rose gold are available on request, and you can see the wider certified range in our diamond jewelry collection.

Sizing & Care
Made to order in your exact size — measure at home with the find-your-size guide, remembering that sizing can vary up to a half size between jewelers’ sizers and mandrels. Diamond is the hardest gemstone there is, so care amounts to a gentle wash in warm soapy water when the sparkle dims. Complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included, an optional appraisal can be added from the drop-down menu, and every ring ships free in the USA in a luxury ring box. All stones are conflict-free.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a lab-grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes - chemically, physically, and optically identical to a mined diamond: pure crystallized carbon at 10 on the Mohs scale. The only difference is that it formed above ground, with a documented origin.
What does the IGI certification cover?
The International Gemological Institute independently grades the center diamond's color, clarity, and cut quality. Your Cordelia's stone is graded D color and VVS clarity, and the report is part of your purchase.
What is the serial number for?
Each ring includes a certificate of authenticity with a unique serial number that ties your specific diamond to its grading record - proof of quality and origin you can verify independently.
What do D color and VVS clarity actually mean?
D is the highest grade on the color scale - fully colorless. VVS means very, very slightly included: any inclusions are so minute that they are extremely difficult to detect even under 10x magnification.
How large is the center diamond?
Approximately 6 x 8 mm, or about 1.5 carats (carat weight may vary slightly). The elongated oval spreads its weight across the finger, so it wears larger than a round diamond of equal carats.
What is the design inspiration?
The Cordelia is a vintage-inspired, art deco style setting: an elongated oval center framed by intricate detailing and lab-grown diamond accents, echoing the geometry and glamour of 1920s heirloom rings.
Are the accent stones diamonds too?
Yes - the surrounding accents are lab-grown diamonds as well, so the entire ring carries genuine diamond brilliance with no simulants anywhere.
Why choose lab-grown over mined?
Identical stone, better story, better price: traceable ethical origin, no mining footprint, and typically far more diamond for the same budget - often funding a larger center or a platinum setting.
Which metal should I pick?
10K white gold for maximum durability at the lowest price, 14K for the balanced everyday classic, 18K for the richest gold content, or platinum for a naturally white, hypoallergenic heirloom metal.
Can I order it in yellow or rose gold?
Yes - the design is shown in white gold, but yellow and rose gold are available on request in your chosen karat. Contact us before ordering and we will arrange it.
How long does production take?
Each ring is made to order; please allow 3-5 weeks for handcrafting. Requested modifications are subject to revised production timelines and pricing.
Is engraving available?
Yes - complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included with every ring.
How do I find my ring size?
Use the find-your-size guide linked in the sizing section. Note that sizing can vary up to a half size between different jewelers' tools, so measure at home carefully or ask us for guidance.
Can I add an appraisal?
Yes - select the optional appraisal from the drop-down menu. The appraisal cost is non-refundable once the work has been performed. Different gemstone options are also available by custom quote.
✨ Production time
Every ring on this page is cast, set and finished for your order. Nothing is taken from stock.
- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.

- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10
- FedEx 2Day® — $22

Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.
• Women’s rings: up to 16 characters
• Men’s rings: up to 25 characters
FONT AND SYMBOLS
Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
