Two colors of night, one orbit — the Starry Night® galaxy engagement ring sets a midnight-blue sandstone oval, alive with star-like shimmer, inside a swirl of natural purple amethyst. Where the Eva whispers vintage, this design moves: marquise and round amethysts trail the center stone like distant suns caught in its gravity, all in solid white gold.
A galaxy for a center stone
The heart of this ring is a 6 x 8 mm oval of Starry Night blue sandstone — a gemstone of deep midnight blue filled with shimmering, star-like inclusions that flicker as the ring moves, the closest thing jewelry has to a night sky in miniature. The oval cut stretches the galaxy across the finger and gives the flowing band its center of gravity. More designs built around this stone live in our blue sandstone engagement rings collection.
Amethyst constellations
What makes this Starry Night design different is the company its galaxy keeps. Natural amethyst gemstones — cut in marquise and round shapes — scatter around the center stone like constellations at the edge of the sky, their vivid purple striking a color chord against the deep blue that neither stone could play alone. Amethyst is also the February birthstone, a quiet second meaning for winter-born wearers, and purple-stone lovers can go deeper in our guide to purple gemstones or the wider amethyst engagement rings collection.
A band that moves like the cosmos
The band flows in organic curves rather than a straight rail, carrying the amethyst stars along its path so the whole ring reads as celestial motion — graceful, romantic, and unmistakably not a template design. Finished in high polish, the white metal catches light between the stones like moonlight on water. It is a natural flagship among our Starry Night engagement rings, and if you love rings with a story, our guide to non-traditional engagement rings is worth a read.
Choose your metal: white gold or platinum
- 10K white gold — the most durable and most affordable option.
- 14K white gold — the classic balance of durability and purity, and our default.
- 18K white gold — the highest gold content for the richest, most luxurious feel.
- Platinum — premium, naturally white, denser and heavier, and hypoallergenic.
Every option is solid precious metal, never plated, so the color is permanent. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K gold karat comparison guide lays out the trade-offs. The design is shown in white gold; yellow and rose gold are available on request.

Sizing & care
Choose your size from the drop-down — half and quarter sizes are offered. Sizing tools vary slightly between jewelers, so confirm yours with our ring size guide before ordering. Treat the stones kindly: clean with warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth, skip ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals, and take the ring off for workouts, gardening, and housework. Stored in its complimentary luxury ring box, the galaxy stays bright and the high-polish gold keeps its gleam for years of wear.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Starry Night center stone?
A blue sandstone gemstone in deep midnight blue, filled with fine, star-like shimmering inclusions. As the ring moves, different points of light flare and dim — the galaxy effect that gives the Starry Night line its name.
What are the accent stones?
Natural amethyst gemstones in marquise and round cuts, arranged around the center stone like constellations. Their vivid purple against the midnight-blue center is the signature contrast of this design.
Is amethyst a birthstone?
Yes — amethyst is the February birthstone, long associated with clarity and calm. It adds a personal layer for February-born wearers, or for anyone who loves purple.
How large is the center stone?
The blue sandstone center is a 6 x 8 mm oval — an elongating shape that spreads its starfield gracefully across the finger.
How is this different from the Eva sandstone ring?
The Eva is a vintage-styled solitaire with white accent stones. This Starry Night design pairs its galaxy center with natural purple amethyst on a flowing, organically curved band — a bolder, more cosmic take on the same night sky.
Which metal should I choose?
10K white gold is the most durable and budget-friendly; 14K is our default and the classic balance of durability and purity; 18K carries the highest gold content; platinum is the premium, naturally white, hypoallergenic choice. All are solid metals with permanent color.
Is this real solid gold?
Yes — every ring is made from solid gold in your chosen karat, or solid platinum. Never plated or filled, so the color is permanent and will not turn your skin green.
Can I order it in yellow or rose gold?
Yes — the design is shown in white gold, but yellow and rose gold versions are available on request. Contact us before ordering.
How long does production take?
Each ring is made to order with an estimated production time of 2–6 weeks, which allows precise craftsmanship and meticulous gemstone setting.
Who is this ring for?
Anyone drawn to cosmic jewelry, fantasy-inspired design, or an engagement ring that feels genuinely magical — a piece for people whose love story involves looking up.
What does the high polish finish mean?
The metal is polished to a bright mirror shine, so the band reflects light between the stones and amplifies the sparkle of both the sandstone center and the amethyst accents.
How should I care for this ring?
Clean it with warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth; avoid ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals. Remove it for rough work and store it in its ring box, away from harder jewelry.
How do I find my ring size?
Use our ring size guide at aquamarise.com/pages/find-your-size. Because sizing tools vary between jewelers, your measurement can differ by up to half a size — verify locally if you are unsure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
