Imagine a garden at dusk — white light blazing at the center, violets glowing at the edges. This oval moissanite engagement ring with natural amethyst accents puts a 6 x 8 mm GRA certified, D-color VVS1 moissanite on a botanical, vine-curved band dotted with purple amethyst — more fire than a diamond, in solid white gold or platinum, for a fraction of the price.
The Brightest Stone in the Garden
Moissanite is a genuine lab-grown gemstone — silicon carbide — with a higher refractive index than diamond and more than double its dispersion, which is a technical way of saying it flashes bigger and more colorfully in every kind of light. This center is GRA certified at D color and VVS1 clarity: fully colorless, eye-clean, and brilliant. New to the stone? Our page on what moissanite is covers the essentials, and our guide answering whether moissanite is a lab-grown diamond clears up the most common mix-up.
Violet Accents, Vine-Drawn Band
Around that white blaze, luminous natural amethyst accents supply the twilight: soft purple points that make the colorless center look even brighter. The band curves like a climbing stem, its floral, botanical lines giving the ring a romantic character that pairs beautifully with the rest of our leaf rings and nature-inspired engagement rings. If purple is the point, wander through our purple gemstone jewelry too.
Vintage Charm, Modern Math
Vintage-styled rings with colored accent stones usually command estate-sale prices. Choosing moissanite rewrites the math: you get an heirloom-looking, high-polish design with a certified colorless center — and a budget left over for the honeymoon. Compare more designs in our moissanite engagement rings collection, or read about moissanite’s meaning and symbolism — a stone first found in a meteor crater has a good origin story of its own.
Four Solid Metals
Pick your setting from the drop-down: solid 10K white gold (most durable, most affordable), 14K (the classic, most popular balance), 18K (highest gold content, most luxurious feel), or platinum — naturally white, denser, and hypoallergenic. Every option is precious metal through and through with a permanent color that will not turn your skin green. Other metal colors are available on request; our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat guide breaks down the choice.

Sizing & Care
Measure with our ring size guide before ordering; jewelers’ sizers can disagree by up to half a size. The moissanite center, at 9–9.25 Mohs, is harder than sapphire and made for daily wear; the natural amethyst accents (around Mohs 7) ask only for gentle habits — warm soapy water and a soft brush, no harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners, and time away from prolonged direct sun to keep the purple deep. Frequently Asked Questions
What is moissanite, exactly?
A genuine gemstone made of silicon carbide, grown in a lab. It was first discovered in a meteor crater, rates 9 to 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, and out-sparkles diamond in fire and rainbow flash — it is not an imitation of anything.
Does moissanite sparkle differently than a diamond?
Yes — more. Its refractive index of 2.65 beats diamond's 2.42, and its dispersion is more than double, so it throws bigger, more colorful flashes. Under sunlight the rainbow fire is the giveaway, and most people love it.
Are the purple stones real amethyst?
Yes — the accents are natural amethyst, the violet variety of quartz and February's birthstone. No two stones carry exactly the same purple, so your ring is subtly one of a kind.
What does the GRA certificate confirm?
The center moissanite is graded by GRA at D color — completely colorless — and VVS1 clarity, meaning no inclusions visible to the naked eye. The certificate ships with the ring; other certifications are available at additional cost.
Why an oval instead of a round center?
An oval spreads the same brilliance across a longer outline, so it looks larger face-up, elongates the finger, and suits the ring's flowing botanical lines better than a strict circle would.
Can this ring handle everyday wear?
Yes. Moissanite is one of the hardest gemstones on earth and never clouds or dulls, and the amethyst accents sit in protected side positions. Sensible habits — no harsh chemicals, off for rough work — keep it flawless.
How do I clean it at home?
Warm water, a drop of mild soap, and a soft brush, then a rinse and a lint-free dry. Skip ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals out of respect for the amethyst accents.
Is this a good alternative to a diamond ring?
For many couples it is the smarter buy: a certified colorless center with more fire, near-diamond hardness, and a price low enough to fund a vintage-styled design with natural gemstone accents instead of a bare solitaire.
What draws people to the amethyst pairing?
Meaning and contrast. Amethyst is February's birthstone, long associated with calm and devotion, and its violet makes the colorless center look even whiter — a personal, romantic touch mass-market rings skip.
Which metal should I choose?
10K white gold for maximum durability on a budget, 14K for the most popular balance of strength and gold content, 18K for the richest gold feel, or platinum — naturally white, denser, and hypoallergenic for sensitive skin.
Can I get a different metal color or stone?
Yes — other metal colors and different gemstone options are available on request. Contact us for a custom quote before you order.
How long until it arrives?
Each ring is made to order with an estimated production time of 2 to 6 weeks, then ships free within the USA.
What is included with my order?
The ring arrives with its GRA certificate for the moissanite center, packed in a free luxury ring box, with free US shipping. Every stone is conflict-free.
✨ Production time

Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.
• Women’s rings: up to 16 characters
• Men’s rings: up to 25 characters

Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
