A two-piece wing ring set in gold. A pear-cut lab-created pink opal sits point-down between two sculpted feathered wings on the center ring, with a round moissanite at each shoulder, and a crescent moon band set with round moissanites nests beneath it. 14K yellow gold vermeil over solid 925 sterling silver.

Two Rings, Wings and Moons
Wing Ring
A pear pink opal held point-down in three prongs between two spread wings, each feather cut in relief, with a single round moissanite set at each shoulder where the wings meet the band.
Moon Band
A slim band of crescent moons, horns up, with a round moissanite set between each pair, that curves to sit under the wings.
Selene is the Greek moon goddess, and the set is built around her: the opal is the moon held in a pair of wings, and the band beneath it is a row of crescents. Worn together the two rings read as one winged ring with a moon-and-star base; worn apart, the wing ring is a solitaire and the moon band is a celestial stacker. The fairy engagement rings guide and fantasy engagement rings cover the lane; non-traditional engagement rings covers the wider field.
The Pink Opal
The center is lab-created pink opal: grown silica with the same stacked-sphere structure as natural opal, which is what produces the play of color. The base is a soft pink and the flashes run green, orange and blue as the ring moves. It is cut as a pear and set point-down so the wings spread from its wide end. Opal is the October birthstone. Our opal engagement rings guide covers how opal holds up as a daily ring, opal meaning covers its history, and the pink gemstones guide places pink opal against the other pink stones.
Metal and Stones
Both rings are 14K yellow gold vermeil: real 14K gold over solid 925 sterling silver. Our guide to caring for vermeil jewelry covers the finish, and what is gold vermeil explains what sets vermeil apart.
The center pear is lab-created pink opal. Every round stone on both rings, the two at the shoulders of the wing ring and the row along the moon band, is moissanite: silicon carbide, 9.25 on the Mohs scale, with more fire than diamond. Our what is moissanite post covers the stone, and moissanite vs diamond explains how to tell them apart.
Part of our opal engagement rings, moissanite engagement rings, pink gemstone jewelry and October birthstone collections, alongside the rest of our yellow gold vermeil rings and wedding ring sets for women.
Aquamarise vermeil is real gold over sterling silver 925, the rich golden look you love at a price that makes it easy to say yes. Keep it luminous with a little care: remove before showering, swimming or exercise, avoid contact with lotions and fragrance, and store dry between wears.

Care
Opal is 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale and porous, so put the set on after perfume and lotion and keep the center clear of hard knocks; the moissanite needs no special care. Clean with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, working the brush between the feathers and the moons, then dry before storing. No silver polishing cloths or abrasive compounds, which thin the gold vermeil; avoid ultrasonic cleaners, chlorine and household chemicals for the same reason. Take the set off for the gym, swimming and heavy cleaning, and store it in its box rather than loose.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the opal real?
It is lab-created pink opal: grown silica with the same structure and play of color as natural opal, made in a lab rather than mined. It is not glass or resin.
What are the small clear stones?
Moissanite, on both rings: the two at the shoulders of the wing ring and the row along the moon band. Moissanite is silicon carbide, 9.25 on the Mohs scale, with more fire than diamond.
How many rings come in the set?
Two. The wing ring and a crescent moon band that curves to sit under it. Both ship together in one box.
What colors does the opal flash?
A soft pink base with green, orange and blue flashes that move as the ring turns. Each stone's pattern is its own.
Is opal a birthstone?
Yes. Opal is the October birthstone.
Is opal durable enough for everyday wear?
Lab-created opal is 5.5 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale, softer than the moissanite around it. The wings shield its sides, but it should come off for the gym, gardening and heavy cleaning, and stay away from chemicals.
Is it real gold?
Yes. Both rings are 14K yellow gold vermeil: a layer of real 14K gold over a solid 925 sterling silver core. There is no brass or base metal under it.
Will it turn my skin green?
No. The core is solid sterling silver and the surface is real gold, so there is no copper alloy to react with skin.
Can I wear the rings separately?
Yes. The wing ring stands on its own as a solitaire, and the moon band wears alone as a celestial stacker.
Do the two rings sit flush?
Yes. The moon band is curved to follow the underside of the wings, so the two rings stack without a gap.
What sizes are available?
Sizes 4 through 11, including every half size. Both rings are made to the same size.
Can I have them engraved?
Yes. Engraving is available on the inner band, up to 16 characters, and can be added as an option at checkout.
How do I care for the vermeil?
Put the ring on last, after lotion and fragrance, and take it off for swimming, showering and the gym. Clean with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, never a silver polishing cloth or an ultrasonic cleaner, and store it dry in its box.
Are the stones ethically sourced?
Yes. All Aquamarise stones are conflict-free and responsibly sourced, and every order arrives in a free luxury velvet jewelry box.
