The color of a clear winter morning, cut to catch every ray of it. This sky blue topaz ring centers a natural 9 x 6 mm radiant-cut stone inside a sparkling halo, on shoulders of hand-detailed scrollwork and filigree — vintage artistry in solid white gold or platinum for the bride who wants her something blue front and center.
Why the Radiant Cut Earns Its Name
The radiant cut is a hybrid with the best of both parents: the structured, architectural outline of an emerald cut and the fireworks faceting of a round brilliant. On a pale, crystalline stone like sky blue topaz, that combination matters — the trimmed corners give it presence and polish, while the brilliant facets keep light bouncing so the soft blue reads luminous rather than quiet. Explore the shape across our radiant cut engagement rings to see how distinctive it stays from stone to stone.
A Sky Held in a Halo
A delicate halo rings the center stone, amplifying its brilliance and enlarging its footprint on the hand — the same effect that makes halo engagement rings a perennial favorite. Below it, the shoulders carry elegant scrollwork and filigree, the kind of intricate metalwork usually found on antique pieces; the whole silhouette sits comfortably beside our vintage and antique engagement rings. Sky blue topaz itself is loved for serene associations — calm, clarity, wisdom, and open communication — which you can read more about in our guide to topaz meaning and symbolism.
Sky Blue, Not London Blue
Blue topaz spans a spectrum. London blue is deep, moody teal; Swiss blue is electric; sky blue — this stone — is the palest and most ethereal of the three, a watercolor blue that flatters every skin tone and pairs naturally with cool white metal. Topaz is a classic November birthstone gem — see our November birthstone guide — and if you are weighing this cool blue against warmer golden stones, our comparison of topaz vs citrine makes the choice easy to think through.
Solid White Gold or Platinum
Select your metal from the drop-down: 10K white gold, the most durable and budget-friendly; 14K white gold, the most popular balance of strength and gold purity; 18K white gold, the highest gold content for a richer feel; or platinum, naturally white, denser, and hypoallergenic. Every option is solid precious metal — never plated, never gold-filled — with a permanent color that will not turn your skin green. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K gold karat comparison guide breaks down the differences, and yellow or rose gold are available on request. This design is one of our most loved gemstone engagement rings; find more silhouettes among our women’s engagement rings.

Sizing & Care
Offered in a full run of sizes including half and quarter sizes — measure with our ring sizing guide before ordering, since readings between jewelers’ sizers and mandrels can differ by up to half a size. Care is straightforward: warm water, a drop of mild soap, and a soft brush bring back the stone’s glassy sparkle, and the filigree rinses clean the same way. Store the ring in its box away from harder gems, and take it off for heavy-duty work to protect the corners of the radiant cut.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a radiant cut?
A radiant cut combines the clipped-corner rectangular outline of an emerald cut with the triangular brilliant faceting of a round cut. The result is a structured shape that still throws light from every angle — elegant geometry with maximum sparkle.
Is the sky blue topaz in this ring natural?
Yes. The center stone is a natural sky blue topaz, 9 x 6 mm in the radiant cut, prized for its soft crystalline blue and excellent clarity. It is not simulated and not lab-created.
How is sky blue different from London blue topaz?
Saturation. Sky blue is the palest, most serene shade of blue topaz — a clear-winter-sky color — while London blue is a deep, inky teal. If you want an airy, luminous blue that brightens against white metal, sky blue is the one.
Is topaz durable enough for everyday wear?
Yes. Topaz rates 8 on the Mohs hardness scale — harder than steel and most daily abrasives — so with ordinary care it wears very well as a daily ring. Remove it for rough work and store it away from diamonds and sapphires, which are harder still.
What does the halo setting do?
The halo of small stones encircling the center adds a ring of extra brilliance, makes the center stone appear larger, and protects its edges. It is a signature of vintage-style design and a big part of this ring’s glow.
What is filigree and scrollwork detailing?
Filigree is fine, lace-like ornamental metalwork; scrollwork is its curling, vine-like cousin. Together they dress the shoulders of this ring in the kind of hand-finished detail associated with antique heirlooms.
Which metal should I choose?
10K white gold is the most durable and affordable; 14K is the most popular pick for its balance of strength and gold purity; 18K offers the highest gold content for a more luxurious feel; platinum is naturally white, denser, and hypoallergenic. All are solid metals with permanent color.
Is this real solid gold?
Yes. The ring is made from solid gold in your chosen karat, or solid platinum — never plated or filled — so the metal’s color and value are permanent and it will not turn your skin green.
What is a comfort fit design?
A comfort fit band is gently rounded on the inside so it glides over the knuckle and rests easily on the finger. You feel the difference most with rings worn all day, every day — exactly what an engagement ring is for.
Is sky blue topaz a birthstone?
Topaz is the classic November birthstone, and blue topaz is also honored as a December stone — so this ring carries birthstone meaning for late-autumn and winter birthdays alike, on top of its calm-and-clarity symbolism.
How do I clean this ring at home?
Soak it briefly in warm water with mild soap, brush gently with a soft toothbrush — including under the halo and through the filigree — then rinse and pat dry. Skip harsh chemicals and abrasive cloths; they are unnecessary and can dull the polish.
How do I find my ring size?
Use our sizing guide at aquamarise.com/pages/find-your-size. Between different jewelers’ ring sizers and mandrels, measurements can vary by up to half a size, and half and quarter sizes are available — so careful measuring pays off.
What is included with my order?
A free luxury ring box and free USA shipping, with conflict-free stones throughout. The ring arrives gift-ready — nothing extra to arrange before the proposal.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
