Two rings, written as one sentence. This alexandrite engagement ring set pairs a princess cut alexandrite ring with its matching solid rose gold wedding band, designed to nest together from the first day. The lab-grown center stone does the storytelling: bluish green under daylight, purplish red by candlelight, so the set quite literally changes with the occasion it marks.
The Engagement Ring
A 5x5mm princess cut lab-grown alexandrite of approximately 1.4 carats, framed by your choice of moissanite or natural diamond accents on a slender solid rose gold band.
The Wedding Band
A perfectly matched solid rose gold band, shaped to sit flush against the engagement ring so the pair reads as one finished design on the hand.
Built as a Pair, Not an Afterthought
Most brides hunt for a band that tolerates their engagement ring. This set skips the hunt: both pieces are made together in the same karat of solid rose gold, on a refined average band width of 1.7mm, so the profiles align and the metal ages identically. It’s the logic behind our wedding ring sets for women — decide once, and the stack is solved for good.
The Stone That Keeps Both Vows
Alexandrite is the gem of duality — one crystal holding two colors, revealed by the light around it. The lab-grown alexandrite at the center of this set is real alexandrite: genuine color-changing chrysoberyl at 8.5 on the Mohs hardness scale, grown in a lab rather than mined, which is what makes a clean, vividly shifting princess cut attainable. See how alexandrite shifts color between daylight and lamplight, or compare it with the other great color stone in our alexandrite vs sapphire guide. As a June birthstone, it adds a second layer of meaning for summer birthdays and anniversaries.
Choose Your Accent Sparkle
The princess cut center is flanked by your choice of accent stones. Moissanite accents come in colorless D grade with VVS1 clarity and a 9 Mohs hardness — a real lab-grown gemstone with exceptional fire. Natural diamond accents are conflict-free, G/H color and I1 eye-clean clarity, at Mohs 10 the hardest material in jewelry. Select your preference from the drop-down menu.
Solid Rose Gold in the Karat You Prefer
Both rings are crafted in solid rose gold, selectable in three karats:
- 10K rose gold — hardest wearing and the most accessible price for a two-ring set.
- 14K rose gold — the crowd favorite: warm color, strong, everyday-proof.
- 18K rose gold — the deepest, most luxurious blush tone.
Our karat comparison guide lays out the trade-offs. For more color-change designs beyond this pairing, the full alexandrite engagement rings collection is the place to browse, with additional bands in alexandrite wedding bands.

Sizing & Care
Half and quarter sizes are available in the drop-down, with additional sizes offered on request. Because sizing tools differ slightly between jewelers — often by up to half a size — measure with our ring size guide before you order. Clean both rings with warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth; store the set apart from harder gems, and take the rings off for heavy lifting or abrasive chores. The set ships in a free luxury ring box with free USA shipping, and an optional appraisal can be selected from the drop-down menu.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in this alexandrite engagement ring set?
The set is sold as a two-piece pairing: the princess cut alexandrite engagement ring and its matching solid rose gold wedding band, made together in your chosen karat and size.
Does the alexandrite in this set actually change color?
Yes — the shift is real and visible. Expect bluish green to teal tones in daylight and fluorescent light, warming to violet, magenta, and purplish red under incandescent bulbs or candlelight.
Is lab-grown alexandrite the real thing?
It is. Lab-grown alexandrite is true chrysoberyl — chemically and optically identical to mined alexandrite, including the color change and the 8.5 Mohs hardness. It is a grown gem, not a simulant or imitation.
Is this set durable enough for everyday wear?
Yes. Alexandrite’s 8.5 Mohs hardness puts it among the toughest colored gemstones, and solid gold bands in 10K, 14K, or 18K are built for daily life. Basic care — removing the rings for rough work — keeps both pieces looking new.
How big is the center stone?
The princess cut alexandrite measures 5.0 x 5.0 mm and weighs approximately 1.4 carats — a balanced, wearable scale that suits the set’s slender 1.7mm average band width.
Should I choose moissanite or natural diamond accents?
Choose moissanite (D color, VVS1, Mohs 9) for maximum fire at a friendlier price, or natural conflict-free diamonds (G/H, I1 eye-clean, Mohs 10) for the classic diamond pedigree. Both read as brilliant white sparkle beside the alexandrite.
Which rose gold karat is best for a bridal set?
14K is the most popular choice for bridal sets — durable, warm, and mid-priced. Choose 10K for the hardest wear and lowest cost, or 18K for the richest rose color. Both rings in the set come in the same karat.
Are both rings solid gold?
Yes — the engagement ring and the wedding band are both solid rose gold through their entire cross-section, in whichever karat you select.
Do the two rings sit flush together?
Yes. The band is designed as this engagement ring’s counterpart, so the pair nests cleanly on the finger and wears as a single coordinated design.
Is alexandrite a birthstone?
Yes — alexandrite is a modern June birthstone, which makes this set doubly meaningful for June birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries.
How long will my set take to arrive?
The set is made to order — please allow 3–5 weeks of production time. Requested modifications can extend the timeline and may adjust pricing.
Can the rings be engraved?
Yes — complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included, perfect for a wedding date or your initials.
How do I find the right ring size?
Use our sizing guide at aquamarise.com/pages/find-your-size before ordering, and remember that measurements can vary up to half a size between different jewelers’ tools.
Does the set arrive gift-ready?
Yes — every set ships in a free luxury ring box with free USA shipping. An optional appraisal is available from the drop-down menu; its fee is non-refundable once the work is performed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Find my ring size link beside the Add to Cart button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
