The Design
Two crescent moons turn inward on either side of the center stone, their points meeting the setting like a pair of parentheses. Leaves run outward from them along each shoulder, and round accents sit in the gaps where the metal opens. The band itself is not plain: leaf forms continue down the shank between set stones.

The Black Onyx
Onyx is an opaque black chalcedony and the oldest gothic gemstone there is — carved for jewelry since antiquity, worn as a stone of protection and steady resolve. At 6.5–7 on the Mohs scale it wears well with normal care.
