A two-carat teardrop of deep teal-blue, cool as candlelight on water. The Luxe is a blue topaz engagement ring in the grand vintage manner — a pear-shaped natural London blue topaz raised on a finely milgrained band of solid white gold or platinum, with moissanite or natural diamond accents tracing its antique silhouette.
The Teardrop That Holds an Ocean
London blue topaz is the darkest and most coveted shade of blue topaz — a saturated teal that shifts between midnight and lagoon depending on the light. Here it appears as a natural pear-cut stone measuring 7.0 x 10.0 mm and approximately 2.0 carats: a genuinely substantial center with real presence on the hand. The pear silhouette narrows to a point that lengthens the finger, a trick that has kept pear shaped engagement rings in favor for three centuries — our pear shape guide explains why the cut flatters every hand it meets. The stone has long symbolized loyalty, truth, and lasting harmony; explore its story in topaz meaning and symbolism.
Vintage Luxe, Down to the Milgrain
What separates the Luxe from a plain solitaire is the jewelry-box detail: a finely beaded milgrain edge running the band, and your choice of accent stones adding old-world glitter around the design. It reads as an antique heirloom — kin to our vintage and antique engagement rings — while arriving newly handmade to your exact size. Against cool white metal, the deep blue center takes on a moody, luxurious cast that yellow gold settings simply render differently; this pairing is the connoisseur’s take on the London blue topaz ring.
Choose Your White Metal
The Luxe is made to order in four solid white metals, selected from the drop-down: 10K white gold, the hardest and most affordable, ideal for active everyday wear; 14K white gold, the most popular all-rounder of strength, beauty, and value; 18K white gold, the richest gold content with a premium feel; and platinum, naturally white, densest of the four, and hypoallergenic for sensitive skin. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat guide compares the golds, and the platinum vs gold guide settles the final question.
Choose Your Accent Stones
- Moissanite — D color, VVS1 clarity, 9 on the Mohs scale: a real lab-grown gemstone with exceptional brilliance and more fire than diamond.
- Natural diamond — G/H color, I1 eye-clean clarity, 10 on the Mohs scale, conflict-free: the traditional heirloom finish.
Blue topaz is also a beloved December stone — see our December birthstone guide — and if you are still weighing your options, browse the wider world of gemstone engagement rings or the full range of women’s engagement rings.

Sizing & Care
Every Luxe is handmade to order in your exact size — half and quarter sizes included — so measure first with our ring sizing guide; between sizers and mandrels, readings can vary up to half a size from jeweler to jeweler. Topaz asks little in return for its color: warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush keep it bright. Protect the pear’s point from hard knocks, store the ring in its box away from harder stones, and it will look as deep and glassy in twenty years as it does today. An optional professional appraisal can be added from the drop-down.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a natural London blue topaz?
Yes. The Luxe carries a natural London blue topaz — the deepest of the blue topaz shades — cut as a 7.0 x 10.0 mm pear of approximately 2.0 carats. It is not lab-created and not simulated.
How big does a 2-carat pear topaz look on the hand?
Generous. At 10 mm long, the stone spans a good portion of the finger, and the tapered pear outline makes it read even longer than it measures. It is a statement center, softened by the fine 2.0 mm band beneath it.
Why set London blue topaz in white metal?
Cool metal keeps the palette moody and modern-vintage: white gold or platinum lets the teal-blue center hold the eye alone, where yellow gold would warm the effect. The milgrain detailing adds antique texture without adding color.
What is milgrain detailing?
Milgrain is a row of tiny raised beads along the band’s edges, a hallmark of Victorian and Art Deco jewelry. It catches light like a string of miniature pearls and instantly gives a ring vintage character.
Should I pick white gold or platinum?
White gold offers the same cool tone at a lighter weight and friendlier price, in your choice of 10K, 14K, or 18K. Platinum is denser, naturally white, and hypoallergenic — the premium option if you have sensitive skin or love substantial heft.
Is this ring real solid gold?
Yes. Each metal option is solid all the way through — solid 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold, or solid platinum — never plated and never gold-filled, so both the color and the value are permanent.
Is topaz hard enough for daily wear?
Yes — topaz rates 8 on the Mohs scale, comfortably harder than everyday abrasives like dust and steel. Sensible habits apply as with any fine ring: remove it for heavy lifting and store it separately from diamonds and sapphires.
Moissanite or natural diamond accents — which should I choose?
Moissanite (D, VVS1) delivers maximum sparkle per dollar and is a real lab-grown gemstone in its own right. Natural diamond (G/H, I1 eye-clean, conflict-free) is the classic heirloom answer. Both read as brilliant white frames for the blue center.
Is blue topaz a birthstone?
Blue topaz is cherished as a December birthstone, and topaz in general has been a birthstone gem for centuries — making the Luxe a meaningful pick for winter birthdays, winter proposals, and anyone drawn to deep blue stones.
Is engraving included?
Yes. Complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included — a date, initials, or a private message hidden inside the band.
How long will my ring take to arrive?
The Luxe is made to order; please allow 3–5 weeks for it to be handmade for you. Requested modifications are subject to revised production timelines and pricing, and different gemstone options are available with a custom quote.
Can I add a professional appraisal?
Yes — select the optional appraisal from the drop-down menu. Note that the appraisal cost is non-refundable once the work has been performed.
How do I make sure I order the right size?
Measure with our sizing guide at aquamarise.com/pages/find-your-size before ordering. Ring sizers and mandrels vary between jewelers by up to half a size, and half and quarter sizes are available, so a careful measurement is worth it.
What comes with the ring?
A free luxury ring box and free USA shipping. The stones are conflict-free — including the natural diamond accent option — so the ring arrives proposal-ready with nothing else to arrange.
✨ Production time
Every ring on this page is cast, set and finished for your order. Nothing is taken from stock.
- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.

- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10
- FedEx 2Day® — $22

We ship worldwide with DHL. Live rates for your address are calculated at checkout — usually DHL Express Worldwide, with DHL eCommerce Parcel Standard also offered to some destinations as a slower, lower-cost option.
For many countries, duties and taxes can be prepaid at checkout for a smoother delivery — if prepaid, no additional fees are due on arrival. Customs fees are set by your country and are non-refundable once the order has shipped.
Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.

Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
