Heirlooms usually take a generation to earn their story. This pear lab grown diamond engagement ring arrives with its story already documented: a 7 x 10 mm pear-cut lab-grown diamond of approximately 1.8 carats, graded D color and VVS clarity, IGI certified with a certificate of authenticity and its own unique serial number — set in hand-milgrained solid white gold with lab diamond accents in the antique style.
Certified, Serialized, Provable
Every one of these rings includes a certificate of authenticity and a unique serial number tying the center diamond to its grading report. IGI is one of the two laboratories that dominate lab-grown diamond grading worldwide; if you want to understand exactly what that report covers — and how it compares to GIA’s — our IGI vs GIA certification guide walks through it line by line.
A Real Diamond, Grown Above Ground
Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds — pure crystallized carbon at Mohs 10, the hardest gemstone there is. The only difference is origin, and origin is where the advantages live: conflict-free sourcing and dramatically more carats for the budget. The evidence is laid out in are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds and, for the long view, do lab-grown diamonds hold value.
The Vintage Frame
The Luxe design wraps its pear center in sparkling lab diamond accents and traces every edge with milgrain — the beaded detailing of Edwardian-era goldsmithing. The result reads estate-case rather than showroom, which is precisely the point. It belongs to the same lineage as our vintage and antique-style engagement rings, with the modern paper trail those originals never had. Solid White Gold or Platinum
Choose your metal from the drop-down: 10K white gold, the hardest and most affordable of the golds; 14K white gold, the most popular all-rounder; 18K white gold, the richest gold content with a premium finish; or platinum, naturally white, densest of the four, and hypoallergenic for sensitive skin. Yellow or rose gold can be arranged on request. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat guide compares durability, color, and value.

Sizing & Care
Sizing can differ by up to half a size between jewelers’ tools, so measure with our ring size guide before ordering. Diamond is the hardest material a ring can carry, but the setting still appreciates kindness: warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush keep the pave and milgrain bright, and removing the ring for heavy work protects the prongs. Free US shipping, a free luxury ring box, and complimentary 16-character engraving are included.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a lab-grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes — it is crystallized carbon with the identical chemistry, hardness, and brilliance of a mined diamond. Gemological laboratories grade both on the same scales; only the origin differs.
What does the IGI certificate cover?
The independent IGI report documents the diamond’s carat weight, color grade, clarity grade, and cut characteristics, and each ring includes a certificate of authenticity with a unique serial number tying the stone to its report.
Why is the D color grade significant?
D is the highest color grade on the GIA scale — fully colorless. Paired with VVS clarity, whose inclusions are extremely difficult to detect even under magnification, this center is white and eye-clean from every angle.
How does this differ from the moissanite version of the Luxe?
Same vintage design, different center. This ring carries an IGI-certified lab-grown diamond — a real diamond at Mohs 10 with classic white brilliance — while the moissanite version offers rainbow-heavy fire at a lower price.
Why choose a pear cut?
The elongated 7 x 10 mm outline spreads its approximate 1.8 carats down the finger, so the stone faces up larger than a round of equal weight and visually lengthens the hand.
Is the diamond conflict-free?
Completely. A lab-grown diamond’s origin is a controlled facility, not a mine, so its provenance is fully traceable — one of the main reasons couples choose one.
Can a lab-grown diamond be worn every day?
Yes — at Mohs 10, diamond is the hardest gemstone in existence and shrugs off daily wear. Ordinary care for the gold setting is all the ring needs.
What is the milgrain detailing?
Milgrain is the row of tiny beads hand-finished along the setting’s edges — a signature of antique Edwardian jewelry that gives the Luxe its vintage, heirloom character.
Is a wedding band included?
No — the wedding band is sold separately. The slim 1.7 mm band sits flush with most straight and contoured bands.
Which metal should I pick?
10K white gold is the hardest and most budget-friendly, 14K balances rich gold content with everyday strength, 18K carries the most gold for a warmer, more luxurious feel, and platinum is naturally white, denser, and hypoallergenic.
Can I get it in yellow or rose gold?
Yes — alternative metal colors and even different gemstones are available on request. Contact us for a custom quote before ordering.
Can I add an engraving?
Complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included with every ring — a date, coordinates, or a private message inside the band.
How long until it ships?
Each ring is made to order and takes approximately 3 to 5 weeks to handcraft. Requested modifications are subject to revised production timelines and pricing.
What arrives in the box?
The ring ships free within the USA in a free luxury ring box with its certificate of authenticity and serial number. An optional appraisal is available from the drop-down menu; the fee is non-refundable once the work is performed.
✨ Production time
Every ring on this page is cast, set and finished for your order. Nothing is taken from stock.
- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.

Shipping is added once your ring is finished. These are the options you will see at checkout:
- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10
- FedEx 2Day® — $22
- FedEx Overnight — $35
Please note: upgraded shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten the 3–6 week production time. Transit estimates begin the day your ring ships, not the day you order, and can vary with carrier delays. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

We ship worldwide with DHL. Live rates for your address are calculated at checkout — usually DHL Express Worldwide, with DHL eCommerce Parcel Standard also offered to some destinations as a slower, lower-cost option.
For many countries, duties and taxes can be prepaid at checkout for a smoother delivery — if prepaid, no additional fees are due on arrival. Customs fees are set by your country and are non-refundable once the order has shipped.
Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
