Imagine a single drop of seawater, caught mid-fall and set in gold. The Luxe is a natural aquamarine engagement ring with a genuinely antique temperament: a two-carat pear-cut stone held above a finely milgrained band, handmade in solid white gold or platinum for couples who want vintage romance with modern integrity.
Milgrain: the Signature of Antique Craft
Run a fingertip along the Luxe’s 2.0 mm band and you will feel its defining detail — milgrain, the row of tiny hand-finished beads that edged the great rings of the early twentieth century. That beaded border softens the metal’s line, scatters light along the band, and gives the whole design its unmistakable heirloom character. Your choice of moissanite or natural diamond accent stones completes the antique picture. If this era of design speaks to you, our vintage and antique engagement rings collection is full of kindred spirits.
A Pear-Cut Stone with a Painter’s Line
The pear cut — one rounded end tapering to a point, sometimes called a teardrop — is among the most flattering shapes a center stone can take, drawing the eye along the finger and lending the hand an elegant, elongated look. At a generous 7.0 x 10.0 mm and approximately 2.0 carats, this aquamarine has real presence, and its soft blue clarity keeps the size graceful rather than showy. Curious how the shape wears day to day? Our pear-shaped engagement rings guide covers proportions, orientation, and styling.
Why a Natural Aquamarine Matters
The Luxe’s center stone is a natural aquamarine — blue beryl formed in the earth, not a laboratory, with the gentle sea-glass color that made the gem a sailors’ talisman for calm waters and safe passage. At 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale it wears confidently through daily life. Aquamarine is also the March birthstone, adding a layer of meaning for March birthdays and anniversaries — see our guide to March birthstone rings. Every piece in our natural aquamarine jewelry collection shares this earth-formed pedigree.
Solid Precious Metal, Four Ways
Each Luxe is crafted in solid, naturally white precious metal:
- 10K White Gold — the hardest and most affordable gold option, made for hard-wearing everyday durability.
- 14K White Gold — the most popular all-rounder, balancing generous gold content with lasting strength.
- 18K White Gold — the richest gold content for a luxurious, substantial feel.
- Platinum — naturally white, the densest and most durable choice, and hypoallergenic for sensitive skin.
Weigh the options with our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat comparison guide, and see the Luxe among its peers in the aquamarine engagement rings collection.

Sizing & Care
Because sizing tools differ between jewelers — readings can vary by up to half a size — please confirm your measurement with our ring sizing guide before ordering. Caring for the Luxe is simple: an occasional bath in warm water with mild soap, a soft brush worked gently around the milgrain beading, and a soft-cloth dry. Slip it into its complimentary luxury ring box before workouts, gardening, or cleaning with harsh chemicals, and the stone will stay as clear as the day it arrived.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the aquamarine in the Luxe ring a natural stone?
Yes. The center stone is a natural pear-cut aquamarine, earth-formed blue beryl, measuring 7.0 x 10.0 mm and weighing approximately 2.0 carats.
What is milgrain, and why does it matter?
Milgrain is the row of tiny beads finished along the band’s edges, a hallmark of early twentieth-century ring craft. It scatters light along the metal and gives the Luxe its antique, heirloom character.
Is a pear cut the same as a teardrop?
Yes, the two names describe the same shape: one rounded end tapering to a soft point. Jewelers usually say pear; teardrop is the romantic everyday term.
How large does a 2 carat pear aquamarine appear?
Generous. The 7.0 x 10.0 mm outline stretches elegantly along the finger, and because pear cuts carry much of their size face-up, the stone looks even larger than its carat weight suggests.
Is natural aquamarine durable enough for daily wear?
Yes. Aquamarine measures 7.5-8 on the Mohs hardness scale, sturdy enough for everyday life. Remove the ring for rough work and clean it gently to preserve its clarity.
Which way should the pear point be worn?
Tradition favors the point toward the fingertips, which lengthens the look of the hand, but there is no rule; some wearers point it toward the wrist as a modern signature.
What metals is the Luxe available in?
Solid 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold, or platinum. Every option is naturally white, solid precious metal throughout.
How do the karat options differ?
10K white gold is the hardest and most affordable, 14K balances gold content and strength, and 18K offers the richest gold content. Platinum is the densest option and hypoallergenic.
What accent stone choices are offered?
Moissanite (D color, VVS1 clarity, Mohs 9) or natural conflict-free diamonds (G/H color, I1 eye-clean clarity, Mohs 10), both set to brighten the milgrain band.
Is aquamarine a birthstone, and for which month?
Aquamarine is the birthstone for March, so the Luxe carries extra meaning for March birthdays, anniversaries, and springtime proposals.
How long does production take?
The Luxe is made to order and handmade over 3-5 weeks. Requested modifications may extend the timeline and adjust pricing.
Is engraving included?
Yes. Complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included, perfect for a date or initials inside the band.
How should I determine my ring size?
Measurements can vary by up to half a size between different sizers and mandrels, so please verify your size with our ring sizing guide before placing your order.
Can I request a different center stone or an appraisal?
Yes. Alternative gemstones are available by custom quote, and an optional appraisal can be selected from the drop-down menu; the appraisal fee is non-refundable once the work is performed.
✨ Production time
Every ring on this page is cast, set and finished for your order. Nothing is taken from stock.
- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.

Shipping is added once your ring is finished. These are the options you will see at checkout:
- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10
- FedEx 2Day® — $22
- FedEx Overnight — $35
Please note: upgraded shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten the 3–6 week production time. Transit estimates begin the day your ring ships, not the day you order, and can vary with carrier delays. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
🌍 International
We ship worldwide with DHL. Live rates for your address are calculated at checkout — usually DHL Express Worldwide, with DHL eCommerce Parcel Standard also offered to some destinations as a slower, lower-cost option.
For many countries, duties and taxes can be prepaid at checkout for a smoother delivery — if prepaid, no additional fees are due on arrival. Customs fees are set by your country and are non-refundable once the order has shipped.
Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.
• Women’s rings: up to 16 characters
• Men’s rings: up to 25 characters

Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
