A two-piece kite engagement ring set in gold. A 7 × 10 mm kite-cut peridot sits point-up in four prongs on the center ring, with a peridot marquise angled out from each shoulder and a tiara of simulated diamonds rising above it, and a double chevron band set with simulated diamonds nests under its lower point. 14K yellow gold vermeil over solid 925 sterling silver.

Kite Tiara Ring
A 7 × 10 mm peridot kite in four prongs, with a peridot marquise set at an angle on each shoulder and a crown of round and marquise simulated diamonds above the point, on a slim shank with a round simulated diamond at each side.
Double Chevron Band
Two V-shaped bands soldered together as one piece, each set with a line of round simulated diamonds, cut to follow the lower point of the kite so the band locks under the center ring without a gap.
The kite points up the finger and the two chevrons repeat its lower angle, so worn together the set reads as one tall crowned ring. Worn apart, the center ring is a kite solitaire with colored shoulders and the band is a double chevron stacker. The same design is made in natural peridot, lab-grown blue sapphire and black onyx. The fairy engagement rings guide covers the lane this shape belongs to, and non-traditional engagement rings covers the wider field.
The Peridot
The center is natural peridot, the gem form of olivine, in the bright yellow-green the stone is known for. It is cut as a 7 × 10 mm kite with a step-cut face, so the color shows as broad flashes of lime rather than fine sparkle, and the two shoulder marquises are natural peridot as well. Peridot is the August birthstone and one of the few gems that comes in only one color. Our peridot meaning guide covers the stone's history, the green engagement rings guide places it against emerald and moss agate, and the August birthstone guide has more on peridot as a gift.
Metal and Stones
Both rings are 14K yellow gold vermeil: real 14K gold over solid 925 sterling silver. Our guide to caring for vermeil jewelry covers the finish, and what is gold vermeil explains what sets vermeil apart.
The center kite and the two shoulder marquises are natural peridot. Every small white stone on both rings is simulated diamond (cubic zirconia). Our moissanite vs cubic zirconia post explains what that material does well and where it falls short of a mined stone.

Aquamarise vermeil is real gold over sterling silver 925, the rich golden look you love at a price that makes it easy to say yes. Keep it luminous with a little care: remove before showering, swimming or exercise, avoid contact with lotions and fragrance, and store dry between wears.

Care
Clean with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, working the brush around the tiara and between the two chevrons where lotion collects, then dry before storing. No silver polishing cloths or abrasive compounds, which thin the gold vermeil; avoid ultrasonic cleaners, chlorine and household chemicals for the same reason. Take the set off for the gym, swimming and heavy cleaning, keep the kite point clear of hard knocks, and store it in its box rather than loose.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the peridot natural?
Yes. The 7 × 10 mm kite center and the two shoulder marquises are natural peridot. The small white stones on both rings are simulated diamond, which is cubic zirconia.
How many rings come in the set?
Two. The kite tiara ring and a double chevron band. The band is two V-shaped bands soldered together, so it goes on as one piece. Both ship together in one box.
How big is the center stone?
7 × 10 mm, kite cut, held in four prongs with the point toward the fingertip.
What shade of green is peridot?
A bright yellow-green, closer to lime than to emerald. Peridot comes in only this one color; darker stones lean olive, lighter ones lean chartreuse.
Is peridot a birthstone?
Yes. Peridot is the August birthstone.
Is peridot durable enough for everyday wear?
Peridot is 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, which suits regular wear with ordinary care. Keep the kite point clear of hard knocks and take the set off for the gym and heavy cleaning.
Is it real gold?
Yes. Both rings are 14K yellow gold vermeil: a layer of real 14K gold over a solid 925 sterling silver core. There is no brass or base metal under it.
Will it turn my skin green?
No. The core is solid sterling silver and the surface is real gold, so there is no copper alloy to react with skin.
What are the small white stones?
Simulated diamond, which is cubic zirconia. We name it plainly: it is not diamond and not moissanite. Moissanite or lab-grown diamond accents are available as a custom order.
Can I wear the rings separately?
Yes. The kite ring stands on its own as a solitaire with colored shoulders, and the double chevron band wears alone as a stacker.
Do the two rings sit flush?
Yes. The chevrons are cut to the angle of the kite's lower point, so the band locks under the center ring without a gap.
What sizes are available?
Sizes 4 through 11, including every half size. Both rings are made to the same size.
Can I have them engraved?
Yes. Engraving is available on the inner band, up to 16 characters, and can be added as an option at checkout.
How do I care for the vermeil?
Put the ring on last, after lotion and fragrance, and take it off for swimming, showering and the gym. Clean with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, never a silver polishing cloth or an ultrasonic cleaner, and store it dry in its box.
Are the stones ethically sourced?
Yes. All Aquamarise stones are conflict-free and responsibly sourced, and every order arrives in a free luxury velvet jewelry box.
