A midnight sky, caught in an oval and set in vintage lace — the Eva is a blue sandstone ring for those who fell in love under the stars and want to keep them. Its deep midnight-blue center glitters with a copper-gold starfield, framed by antique-style detailing in solid white gold. Old-world romance, celestial heart.
A starfield you can wear
Blue sandstone is the night sky in miniature: a deep midnight-blue gemstone scattered with brilliant metallic inclusions that catch the light like constellations. Every tilt of your hand sets a different star ablaze, which is why this stone answers to the name Starry Night. At 7 x 9 mm and approximately 1.6 carats, the oval is large enough to read as a true galaxy, yet the slim 1.7 mm band keeps the whole ring graceful on the finger. See the full sky’s worth of designs in our blue sandstone engagement rings collection.
Vintage romance with a Night Court soul
The Eva’s intricate, antique-inspired gallery gives it the feel of an heirloom passed down through generations — but readers keep finding a second story in it. That midnight starfield framed in silvery metal is pure Velaris: fans of ACOTAR’s Night Court adopt this ring as their own, and it sits naturally beside our Night Court jewelry and the wider ACOTAR-inspired collection. Prefer your inspiration bookless? The Eva stands on its own among vintage and antique-style engagement rings — and our guide to non-traditional engagement rings is a good companion if you are still exploring.
Choose your constellation of accents
The center stone is framed by a halo of sparkling accents, and you choose their nature from the drop-down:
- Moissanite — D color, VVS1 clarity, 9 on the Mohs scale. Exceptional brilliance with more fire than diamond, at a friendlier price.
- Natural diamond — G/H color, I1 clarity (eye clean), 10 on the Mohs scale, conflict-free. The heirloom-certified choice.
Both options read as a ring of white starlight around the midnight center — the difference is philosophy, not beauty.
Solid white gold or platinum, your call
Every metal option is solid precious metal, never plated:
- 10K white gold — the hardest and most affordable gold, ideal for active hands.
- 14K white gold — our most popular all-rounder, balancing rich gold content with excellent durability.
- 18K white gold — the richest gold content for a warmer, more luxurious feel.
- Platinum — naturally white, the densest and most substantial option, hypoallergenic for sensitive skin.
Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat guide breaks down durability, color, and value. The Eva can also be custom made in yellow or rose gold on request, and a matching wedding band can be made to order to complete the set.

Sizing & care
Select your size from the drop-down — half and quarter sizes are offered, with larger and smaller sizes available on request. Because sizing tools vary between jewelers, your size can differ by up to half a size; confirm yours with our ring size guide. Blue sandstone is a softer gemstone at 6–7 Mohs and appreciates delicate care: clean with warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth, remove the ring for workouts and housework, and avoid ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals. If you want celestial looks with maximum durability, we will substitute the center stone with a blue sapphire at no additional cost — just leave a note at checkout. Each ring is made to order by hand; please allow 3–5 weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is blue sandstone, and why is it called Starry Night?
Blue sandstone is a deep midnight-blue gemstone filled with shimmering metallic inclusions that sparkle like stars against a night sky. The effect earned it the Starry Night nickname — every movement of your hand lights a different constellation.
Is this the ring for ACOTAR and Night Court fans?
Many readers think so. The midnight starfield framed in white metal captures the Velaris aesthetic beautifully, and the Eva sits alongside our Night Court and ACOTAR-inspired collections. That said, the design is a vintage celestial piece first — no book required.
Should I choose moissanite or natural diamond accents?
Moissanite accents are D color and VVS1 clarity with even more fire than diamond — the brilliance-per-dollar champion. The natural diamond option is G/H color, I1 eye-clean, and conflict-free — the traditional heirloom route. Both frame the center stone in white sparkle.
How durable is blue sandstone?
It measures 6–7 on the Mohs scale, softer than sapphire or diamond, so it rewards gentle habits: remove the ring for rough work, store it separately, and clean it with mild soap and water rather than ultrasonic machines.
Can I swap the center stone for a blue sapphire?
Yes — if durability is a priority, we will substitute the blue sandstone center with a blue sapphire at no additional cost. Simply leave a note at checkout.
Which metal should I choose?
10K white gold is the hardest and most affordable; 14K is the most popular balance of purity and durability; 18K has the richest gold content; platinum is naturally white, densest, and hypoallergenic. Every option is solid precious metal.
Is this ring really solid gold?
Yes — the Eva is crafted in solid gold in your chosen karat, or in solid platinum. It is never plated or filled, so the color is permanent.
Can the Eva be made in yellow or rose gold?
Yes — this design can be custom made in yellow or rose gold on request. Contact us before ordering and we will arrange it.
Is there a matching wedding band?
A matching wedding band can be custom made to order, shaped to sit flush against the Eva’s vintage gallery. Reach out for details and a quote.
How wide is the band?
The band averages about 1.7 mm — a slim, vintage-appropriate profile that keeps the starfield center as the focus.
Can I have the ring engraved?
Yes — complimentary engraving is included, up to 16 characters. A date, a name, or a line only the two of you understand.
How long does production take?
Each Eva is made to order by hand; please allow 3–5 weeks. Requested modifications may adjust the timeline and pricing.
How do I find my ring size?
Check our ring size guide at aquamarise.com/pages/find-your-size. Sizing can vary up to half a size between jewelers’ tools, so verify locally if you are between sizes.
Is an appraisal available?
Yes — select the optional appraisal from the drop-down menu. Please note the appraisal cost is non-refundable once the work has been performed.
✨ Production time
Every ring on this page is cast, set and finished for your order. Nothing is taken from stock.
- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.
🚚 United States
Shipping is added once your ring is finished. These are the options you will see at checkout:
- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10
- FedEx 2Day® — $22
- FedEx Overnight — $35
Please note: upgraded shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten the 3–6 week production time. Transit estimates begin the day your ring ships, not the day you order, and can vary with carrier delays. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
🌍 International
We ship worldwide with DHL. Live rates for your address are calculated at checkout — usually DHL Express Worldwide, with DHL eCommerce Parcel Standard also offered to some destinations as a slower, lower-cost option.
For many countries, duties and taxes can be prepaid at checkout for a smoother delivery — if prepaid, no additional fees are due on arrival. Customs fees are set by your country and are non-refundable once the order has shipped.
Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.
CHARACTER LIMITS
Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.
• Women’s rings: up to 16 characters
• Men’s rings: up to 25 characters
FONT AND SYMBOLS
Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:
♥ ♡ ☾ ✩ ★ ✿ ♬ ♯ • ■
Custom fonts, or symbols outside this selection, are available for $25. For a logo or bespoke design, email us an SVG file before you order so our team can confirm it will engrave cleanly. Very fine or highly detailed artwork may not suit narrow or delicate bands — we will tell you before we proceed rather than after.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
