The Copper
Real copper, worked into the wood's seams and pores so it sits in branching veins rather than a flat stripe. It catches light the way embers do in a dark fire.
The Rose Gold
The tungsten core carries a rose gold finish that picks up the copper. It shows at the two edges and across the whole interior, so the ring has warmth from every angle.
Most inlay bands keep the metal on the outside and the material in a channel. This one reverses it: the wood covers the entire outer face and the metal is what you see at the rim and on the inside. It is the darkest ring in our men's rose gold rings, and one of the few with real copper in it.
The Materials
The wood is stabilized, meaning it has been vacuum-impregnated with resin before dyeing and shaping. That is what lets a wood ring survive daily wear: the resin fills the cell structure so the wood cannot shrink, swell or absorb moisture the way raw timber does. The copper is metallic copper, not paint or pigment, and because it sits in the natural seams of the wood the pattern in your band is unique.
Copper does develop a patina where it meets air, which on this ring means the veins can warm from bright penny to a deeper bronze over the years. Most people like that. A soft cloth brings the shine back if you do not.
Why Tungsten
Tungsten carbide sits around 8.5–9 on the Mohs scale, several times harder than gold or titanium, so the finish still looks like this after years of daily work where a precious-metal band would have gone soft with scratches. It is also heavy in the hand, which most people read as quality.
The trade-off is worth knowing before you buy: tungsten cannot be resized, and it cannot be bent. Under enough force it fractures rather than deforming. That is also a safety feature, since a tungsten ring can be cracked off in an emergency in seconds. Sizing
Sizes 7 through 13, including every half size. Tungsten cannot be resized, so ordering the right size matters more here than on a silver or gold band. Comfort fit means the inside of the band is domed rather than flat, which makes it slide on more easily; many people find they need a quarter to a half size smaller than in a standard-fit ring. Care
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry. Skip polishing compounds and silver cloths, which are abrasive. Keep the ring out of chlorinated pools and away from bleach and solvents, which attack the resin holding the inlay. The wood face is matte, so do not try to polish it; a dry cloth is enough. Keep it out of long soaks, and expect the copper to warm in tone over time. Take it off for heavy lifting: tungsten resists scratches, but a hard impact against concrete or steel can crack it. Is the copper real?
Yes. Metallic copper worked into the seams of the wood, not a pigment. It can warm from bright to bronze over the years as copper does, and a soft cloth brings it back.
What kind of wood is it?
Stabilized hardwood, dyed through to black. Stabilizing fills the wood with resin under vacuum so it cannot shrink, swell or take on water, which is what makes a wood ring practical to wear every day.
Will mine look exactly like the photo?
No two will. The copper follows the natural seams of the wood, so the amount and the pattern of veining differ from ring to ring. The width, the black tone and the rose gold edges are the same.
Is the rose gold real gold?
No. It is a rose gold finish bonded to the tungsten carbide core by ion plating, tarnish-free and far tougher than electroplate, but not solid gold.
Can I get it wet?
Briefly, yes; regularly, no. The wood is sealed under clear resin, but repeated soaking, hot water and chlorine will get past any seal in time. Take it off for swimming, showers and dishwashing and it will keep its color.
Can it be resized?
No. Tungsten carbide cannot be resized. The material is far too hard to stretch or cut and rejoin. Order carefully, and size down rather than up if you are between sizes.
What does comfort fit mean?
The inside of the band is gently domed instead of flat, so less surface touches your finger. It slides on more easily and runs slightly large, so many people take a quarter to a half size smaller.
Can it crack?
Yes, under a hard enough impact. Tungsten is hard rather than tough, so it fractures instead of bending. That also means the ring can be removed in an emergency in seconds.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. Tungsten carbide is hypoallergenic and contains no nickel.
Is this only for men?
No. It is listed as a men's band because 8mm is a width most men choose, but plenty of people wear a wide band regardless of gender. Sizes start at 7.
Can I have it engraved?
