The Design
An 8 mm flat band with a single carved panel at the center: a leaf frond cut in relief, its veins running the width of the band. A channel of round stones runs down each side of the panel, five to a side, held in a milgrained edge.
The rest of the band is left plain. That is deliberate — a flat profile with a mirror polish reads as a classic men's wedding band from any distance, and the botanical detail only resolves close up. The dark finish turns the leaf panel into a shadow carving — the frond reads as texture first and botanical second — and the pale blue stones sit against it like light on dark water. Our guides to men's engagement rings and non-traditional men's wedding bands cover the wider category, and our width guide explains what 8 mm looks like on the hand.
Classic flat fit, not comfort fit — the inner wall is flat rather than domed, which sits flush against the finger and reads slightly wider than a comfort-fit band of the same measurement. If you are wearing it as an engagement ring, what hand an engagement ring goes on is worth a look — the convention differs for men in a lot of countries.
The Aquamarine
Ten round natural aquamarines run in two channels either side of the carved panel. Aquamarine is the blue variety of beryl, the same mineral family as emerald, and at 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale it is one of the harder colored stones — a practical choice for a band worn every day. The color is a clear, pale sea-blue; our aquamarine guide covers color grades and care in detail.
Set in channels against the blackened surface, the blue reads brighter than it would on white metal — the contrast does the work. Aquamarine is the March birthstone; see our March birthstone ring guide and what aquamarine means if the stone is the reason you are here.
Metal
The band is solid 925 sterling silver with a black ruthenium finish — a platinum-group metal applied over the silver that gives the dark, gunmetal mirror surface. In person it reads as deep charcoal rather than flat black; our explainer on black ruthenium shows how it looks in different light.
The finish wears thin at points of contact after years of daily wear, revealing bright silver beneath — a look many people like. We can refinish the band when it does. Moissanite or lab-grown diamond accents are available as a custom order.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the aquamarine real?
Yes. The stones are natural, mined aquamarine — the blue variety of beryl — not glass or simulated stone.
Is aquamarine a birthstone?
Yes — aquamarine is the March birthstone.
Is aquamarine durable enough for a daily-wear band?
Yes. Aquamarine is 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale, harder than quartz and most colored stones, and the channel setting protects the edges of each stone.
What is it made of?
Solid 925 sterling silver throughout, hallmarked, with a black ruthenium finish. No brass or base metal.
Is the black finish permanent?
Black ruthenium is a plated finish over solid silver. It is hard-wearing, but years of daily contact wear it thin at the edges, showing bright silver beneath. We can refinish the ring when that happens.
Is this a men's ring or unisex?
Both. It is cut at 8 mm, which is a men's width by convention, but nothing about it is gendered — it is worn as a men's wedding band, a men's engagement ring, and as a wide unisex band.
What does classic flat fit mean?
The inside of the band is flat rather than domed. It sits flush against the finger and wears slightly wider than a comfort-fit band of the same measurement. Some people prefer the security of it; others prefer the rounded feel of comfort fit.
What sizes are available?
Sizes 7 through 13, including every half size.
Can I have it engraved?
Yes. Engraving is available on the inner band, up to 25 characters, and can be added as an option at checkout.
Does it match the women's Viridian rings?
Yes — the carved leaf panel is the same motif that runs along the shoulders of the women's Viridian engagement rings, so the two read as a pair without being identical.
Are the stones ethically sourced?
Yes. All Aquamarise stones are conflict-free and responsibly sourced, and every order arrives in a free luxury velvet jewelry box.
