A crown of color-changing magic. This curved wedding band rises to a marquise alexandrite that shifts from teal-blue to violet as the light changes, framed by cool blue tourmaline and bright white accents in a tiara-like sweep. Shaped to nest beneath your engagement ring or stand alone as a delicate stacking band, it is pure fairytale on the finger. Sold as the band only — the engagement ring is not included.
The color-changing alexandrite
At the crown sits a marquise-cut alexandrite — the gem famous for changing color with the light. Because it is faceted and open-set, that shift is fully visible: cool teal-blue in daylight, deepening to a soft violet under warm indoor light. The pointed marquise cut adds height and vintage drama, making this little band quietly mesmerizing. Alexandrite is also a June birthstone and a long-loved symbol of transformation — a meaningful touch for an anniversary or wedding band.
The stones — an honest breakdown
This band layers three different stones, and we want you to know exactly what each one is:
- Center: lab-grown alexandrite — a real alexandrite gem with genuine color-change, created in controlled lab conditions for ethical, consistent quality.
- Blue accents: tourmaline — natural-looking cool-blue stones that echo the alexandrite's teal phase.
- White accents: simulated diamonds (cubic zirconia) — chosen for bright, crisp sparkle.
If you would prefer genuine stones in place of the CZ accents, we can build this design with lab-grown diamond or moissanite — just reach out before ordering.
The curved tiara silhouette
This is a curved (contour) wedding band, shaped to follow the line of your engagement ring rather than sit flat against it. The gentle peak rises to meet and frame your center stone from below, so the two rings read as one unified, custom-looking design with no awkward gap. Because it is a contour band, the engagement ring is sold separately — this listing is for the curved band shown. Worn solo, that same tiara curve looks deliberate and elegant, and it stacks beautifully with other bands.
Solid sterling silver, rhodium finish
The band is crafted in solid 925 sterling silver with a bright rhodium finish — the same precious-metal plating used on white gold — for a crisp, mirror-white shine that lets the alexandrite and tourmaline glow. At approximately 1.4 mm wide, it is delicate and comfortable, slim enough to stack yet substantial enough to wear every day. Genuine sterling silver with a rhodium finish will not turn your skin green; that reaction is associated with low-quality or fake metals, not the real sterling silver used here.
Styling & occasions
Its minimalist, vintage-inspired look makes it endlessly wearable: as a wedding band, an anniversary band, a stacking ring, or an everyday treat. It also makes a thoughtful gift — for an anniversary, a bridesmaid, a June birthday, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, or just because.
Ethically sourced
We go beyond industry standards to offer conflict-free stones selected for ethical, environmentally responsible origins. Our mission is a more transparent, sustainable, and inclusive jewelry industry — jewelry you can feel good about wearing, with no compromise between quality and conscience.

Alexandrite Wedding Band FAQs
Is the engagement ring included?
No — this listing is for the curved band only. The engagement ring shown for styling is sold separately. You are purchasing the alexandrite contour band pictured.
Does the alexandrite really change color?
Yes. The faceted, open-set marquise alexandrite visibly shifts from cool teal-blue in daylight to a soft violet under warm indoor light — one stone showing two moods depending on your surroundings.
Is the alexandrite real or lab-grown?
It is a real alexandrite gemstone that is lab-grown rather than mined. It has the genuine color-change and hardness of alexandrite, with consistent quality and an ethical, conflict-free origin.
What are the blue and white accent stones?
The cool-blue accents are tourmaline, echoing the alexandrite's teal phase, and the bright white accents are simulated diamonds (cubic zirconia). If you would prefer genuine stones in place of the CZ, we can build this design with lab-grown diamond or moissanite — just contact us before ordering.
Is this a wedding band or an engagement ring?
It is a curved wedding band (also called a contour band). It is designed to sit alongside an engagement ring or to be worn on its own as a stacking or anniversary band — it does not have a single large center stone like a solitaire engagement ring.
Will it nest with my engagement ring?
Yes — that is exactly what the curve is for. It tucks up against your engagement ring and frames the center stone from below, so the two rings sit flush with no gap. It pairs especially well with solitaires and raised settings.
Can I wear it on its own?
Absolutely. The tiara-like curve looks intentional and elegant worn solo, and it also stacks beautifully with other bands.
What metal is it made from?
It is solid 925 sterling silver with a rhodium finish — the same bright white plating used on white gold — for a crisp mirror shine that showcases the alexandrite and tourmaline.
Will it turn my finger green?
No. Genuine sterling silver with a rhodium finish does not turn skin green; that reaction is linked to low-quality or fake metals. With normal care, the rhodium finish keeps the band bright.
Is this a good June birthstone gift?
Yes — alexandrite is one of June's birthstones, making this band a meaningful gift for a June birthday or anniversary, or for anyone who loves its color-changing magic.
What is the band width?
The band is approximately 1.4 mm wide — delicate and stackable, while still comfortable for everyday wear.
Is it suitable for everyday wear?
Yes, with normal care. Alexandrite is a hard, durable gem and the tourmaline and CZ accents are well suited to a ring worn regularly. As with any fine jewelry, gentle handling keeps it looking its best.
How do I choose my ring size?
Simply select your size from the dropdown at checkout. If you plan to wear it alongside an engagement ring, we recommend matching that ring's size, or having your finger measured by a local jeweler.
Are the stones ethically sourced, and does it arrive gift-ready?
Yes to both. We offer conflict-free stones selected for ethical, environmentally responsible origins, and every ring ships in a luxury velvet jewelry box, ready for gifting.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Find my ring size link beside the Add to Cart button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
