Tanzanite measures 6–6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale — a stone for mindful wear rather than rough duty. Remove the set before workouts, gardening, and household chemicals, and clean it with warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush; skip ultrasonic and steam cleaners. Stored apart from harder jewelry, the velvet blue-violet will look as deep on your tenth anniversary as it does today.
