Six sides, one unforgettable stone. This hexagon sapphire engagement ring centers a lab-grown sapphire in a rare violet shade — mystery and grace cut into clean geometric lines — then frames it with D/VVS1 lab-grown diamonds that catch light at every turn, all on a slender 1.7 mm band in solid white gold or platinum.
Geometry as a Statement
Round stones whisper; a hexagon speaks. The six crisp sides of this cut give the sapphire a bold, architectural silhouette that reads modern from across a room and celestial up close — a favorite of brides who love hexagon engagement rings and the wider world of fantasy-inspired engagement rings. The slender 1.7 mm band stays deliberately quiet so the stone’s luminous symmetry does the talking.
A Violet Sapphire, Grown Not Mined
The center stone is a lab-grown sapphire — genuine sapphire, real corundum, chemically identical to a mined stone and rated a hard Mohs 9 for confident everyday wear. Its soft violet shade is the unusual part: a color between twilight blue and amethyst purple that few engagement rings dare to wear. Prefer tradition? The same design is also available with a royal blue lab sapphire upon request. For more on unusual hues, our purple gemstones guide and our guide to sapphire engagement rings are both worth a read.
Real Diamonds, Responsibly Made
The accents encircling the sapphire are lab-grown diamonds graded D color and VVS1 clarity — real diamonds in every physical and chemical sense, simply grown above ground for a sustainable, ethical sparkle. They radiate light with every movement, creating the celestial glow this design is known for. Skeptical? Our explainer on whether lab-grown diamonds are real settles it, and our lab-grown diamond engagement rings show the stone in every style.
Solid White Gold or Platinum, Never Plated
Every ring is made in your choice of solid metal, so the color you see is permanent — real metal all the way through, never plated, and it will not turn your skin green. 10K white gold is the most durable and most affordable; 14K is our classic best-selling balance of resilience and richness; 18K offers the highest gold content for a warmer, more luxurious feel; and platinum is naturally white, noticeably denser, and hypoallergenic. Compare them in our 10K vs 14K vs 18K gold karat comparison guide. Other colors are available on request.

Sizing & Care
Not sure of your size? Our ring size guide makes it easy to measure at home before you order. Care is simple: sapphire at Mohs 9 and diamond accents shrug off daily life, so warm water, a drop of mild soap, and a soft brush are all this ring needs to stay brilliant. It ships conflict-free with free USA shipping, and it sits beautifully among our gemstone engagement rings if you would like to compare it with its neighbors.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the sapphire real?
Yes. It is a lab-grown sapphire — genuine sapphire, real corundum with the same chemistry and Mohs 9 hardness as a mined stone. The only difference is where it formed.
Are the accent diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. The accents are lab-grown diamonds graded D color and VVS1 clarity — real diamonds in every physical, chemical, and optical sense, grown above ground for an ethical, sustainable sparkle.
What color is the sapphire?
The standard stone is a soft violet shade — an unusual hue between blue and purple. A royal blue lab sapphire is available upon request if you prefer the classic color.
Why choose a hexagon cut?
The hexagon’s six straight sides give the stone a bold, geometric silhouette that feels modern and architectural — a distinctive alternative to round and oval cuts, and a signature of fantasy-inspired design.
Is this ring solid gold?
Yes. Every option is solid metal all the way through — solid 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold, or platinum. It is never plated, and the color will not change or turn your skin green.
Which metal should I choose?
10K white gold is the most durable and most affordable; 14K is the best-selling balance of resilience and richness; 18K carries the highest gold content; platinum is naturally white, denser, and hypoallergenic. Our karat comparison guide covers the details.
What is the band like?
The band is approximately 1.7 mm wide with a polished finish and a comfort-fit interior — slender enough to keep every eye on the hexagon center stone.
Is a violet sapphire durable enough for daily wear?
Yes. Color does not change hardness — violet sapphire is still corundum at Mohs 9, one of the hardest gemstones used in jewelry and an excellent choice for an everyday engagement ring.
Can I order it in royal blue instead?
Yes — the design is also available with a royal blue lab-grown sapphire upon request. Other custom color requests are welcome as well.
Who is this ring for?
It suits anyone drawn to non-traditional, geometric, or celestial design — as a fantasy-inspired engagement ring, an anniversary ring, or a promise ring with modern symbolism.
Are lab-grown stones an ethical choice?
Yes. Both the sapphire and the diamond accents are grown above ground, which means no mining and a fully traceable origin — sustainable sparkle without compromise.
How should I care for this ring?
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap, and a soft brush restore its shine in minutes. Both stones are hard enough that everyday wear will not dull them; store the ring separately to protect softer jewelry beside it.
How do I find my ring size?
Use our ring size guide at aquamarise.com/pages/find-your-size to measure at home before ordering — it takes only a few minutes.
✨ Production time

Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
