This London blue topaz wedding band is a 5mm comfort-fit band in solid white gold, its full surface carved in a fine vertical bark texture that catches light from every angle, with a natural emerald-cut London blue topaz bezel-set flush at the center — a deep, inky ocean-blue inset against cool white gold. Choose your metal — 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold, or platinum. A unisex, nature-inspired wedding band, men's engagement ring, or anniversary band. Topaz is November's birthstone.
The London blue topaz
London blue is the deepest, most saturated blue topaz tone — inkier than sky or Swiss blue, with a slight teal undertone in certain light. It's a genuine natural topaz (8 Mohs); the deep London-blue color comes from standard heat and irradiation treatment, the industry norm for blue topaz — permanent, stable, and honestly disclosed. The emerald cut showcases color depth over sparkle. Topaz is November's birthstone and the traditional 4th and 19th anniversary stone; explore topaz meaning and symbolism to see what the stone has represented across the ages.
The bark texture & bezel
The band surface is hand-finished with fine vertical striations like the grain of an old tree or rippling water — a tactile, matte-leaning finish that hides everyday scratches and lets the polished bezel and topaz catch the brightness. The topaz is bezel-set: a continuous rim of gold holds it flush with the band, the most secure, snag-free setting for hands-on daily wear. Choose your metal: 10K, 14K, 18K white gold, or platinum
This band is solid white gold throughout — the metal itself, not plating or vermeil over a base metal — with the standard rhodium finish white gold carries for extra brightness. The color is permanent: it won't wear off and won't turn your skin green. At 5mm with a comfort-fit profile it sits in the true unisex range. Pick your karat from the drop-down:
- 10K white gold — the most durable and most affordable option, with the highest everyday scratch resistance.
- 14K white gold — our default, and the classic balance of durability, gold content, and value.
- 18K white gold — the highest gold content, for a richer, more luxurious feel.
- Platinum — premium and naturally white, denser and more substantial than gold, hypoallergenic, and it never needs re-plating.
Not sure which to pick? Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat comparison guide and our yellow vs white vs rose gold guide break down the differences. Yellow or rose gold available on request.

Sizing & care
Topaz is 8 Mohs — durable for daily wear, and the bezel protects it from most everyday knocks (the emerald cut's corners are its only sensitive points). Avoid harsh chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners; clean with warm water and a soft brush that reaches into the texture grooves. Comfort-fit bands can wear a touch looser than standard bands; please reference our sizing guide before ordering. An optional written appraisal can be added from the drop-down menu (non-refundable once completed).

London blue topaz wedding band FAQs
Is the London blue topaz natural?
Yes — genuine, naturally mined topaz. The deep London-blue color comes from standard heat and irradiation treatment, the industry norm for all blue topaz — permanent, stable, and it doesn't affect durability.
What makes London blue different from sky or Swiss blue?
All three are natural topaz, differing by tone: sky blue is palest, Swiss blue is brighter cyan, and London blue is the deepest and most saturated, with an ocean tone and slight teal undertone.
Which metal should I choose?
All four are solid and durable — it comes down to budget and feel. 10K white gold is the most affordable and hardest-wearing; 14K is our default, balancing durability and gold content; 18K has the highest gold content for a richer look; and platinum is a premium, naturally white, hypoallergenic metal that never needs re-plating. See our karat comparison guide for details.
Will the texture wear off?
No — the texture is carved into solid gold, not coated on. The recessed grain holds its detail, and the brushed surface hides fine scratches better than a mirror polish.
Is this real solid white gold?
Yes. The band is solid white gold throughout in your chosen karat — 10K, 14K, or 18K — or solid platinum: the metal itself, not plating or vermeil. The color is permanent, won't wear off, and won't turn skin green.
How long does it take to make?
Made to order — please allow about 2–6 weeks. Requested modifications (metal change, custom stone, engraving, custom sizing) may adjust the timeline and pricing.
✨ Production time
Every ring on this page is cast, set and finished for your order. Nothing is taken from stock.
- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.

- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10
- FedEx 2Day® — $22

Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.

Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
