The rings that get passed down are almost always yellow gold. This moissanite engagement ring in yellow gold pairs a ~1.5 carat colorless oval with leaf-sculpted shoulders in rich solid gold—an heirloom in the making, gleaming like late-afternoon sun.
Yellow gold: the original engagement ring metal
Long before white metals had their moment, betrothal rings were yellow gold—and the classics are back. Warm gold against a colorless, high-fire stone creates the vintage-meets-modern look filling engagement announcements again: the metal glows, the moissanite flashes, and neither competes with the other. Because this is solid yellow gold in your choice of 10K, 14K, or 18K, the color is part of the metal itself—permanent, and never a cause of green-tinted skin. Browse more warm-toned pieces in our yellow gold jewelry collection.
The oval: brilliance with a longer line
The approximately 6.0 x 8.0 mm oval brilliant center spreads its ~1.5 carats along the finger, facing up larger than a round of equal weight while keeping the same fireworks-grade faceting. With no corners to snag or chip, it is a shape you can forget you are wearing—until the light hits it. Compare silhouettes across our oval moissanite engagement rings, or explore the breadth of our moissanite jewelry.
Leaves worked into the gold
Fine leaf detailing frames the center stone, carved so the gold itself seems to grow around the setting. It is a symbol couples keep choosing—growth, renewal, a story still unfolding—and it gives this ring a personality most solitaires never develop. Kindred designs live in our leaf rings collection. Note that the ruby leaf wedding band appearing in some photos is sold separately and not included with this ring.
A stone with more fire than a diamond
Moissanite is a real lab-created gemstone—silicon carbide—not a look-alike. Its refractive index is higher than diamond's and its dispersion more than double, so it returns visibly more rainbow fire. This center is graded D color (colorless) and VVS1 clarity, with moissanite accent stones to match, and at 9–9.25 Mohs it wears confidently every day for a lifetime. If you have ever wondered how it differs from other white stones, our guide to moissanite vs cubic zirconia draws the line clearly.
Choosing between 10K, 14K, and 18K
All three are solid gold; the difference is gold content. 10K is the hardest-wearing and most affordable, 14K is the classic balance of purity and strength (our default), and 18K holds the highest gold content for the deepest, warmest glow. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat comparison guide compares them side by side. White and rose gold versions are available on request, and the band averages a delicate 1.7 mm.

Sizing & care
Choose your size from the drop-down—half and quarter sizes are available—and verify your fit with our Find Your Size guide first, as sizing can differ slightly between jewelers' tools. Yellow gold asks little: a gentle wash in warm soapy water and a soft cloth keep both metal and moissanite luminous. For deeper maintenance habits, see our guide on how to care for gold jewelry. An optional professional appraisal is available from the drop-down (non-refundable once completed).
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a colorless stone work with yellow gold?
Yes—strikingly. The warm band frames the D-color moissanite so the stone reads bright white at the center while catching a golden halo at its edges, the same pairing found in classic heirloom rings.
Is this ring solid gold throughout?
Yes. It is cast in solid yellow gold in your chosen karat—10K, 14K, or 18K—never gold plated or gold filled, so the color is permanent and cannot wear away.
What is the difference between 10K, 14K, and 18K?
Gold content. 10K is the most durable and least expensive, 14K balances purity with everyday strength, and 18K carries the most gold for the richest color. All three are solid gold.
Exactly what stone is set in this ring?
A lab-created oval moissanite of approximately 6.0 x 8.0 mm, about 1.5 carats, graded D color and VVS1 clarity, with smaller moissanite accents alongside.
Is moissanite a genuine gemstone?
Yes. Moissanite is silicon carbide, a real gemstone grown in a lab—with more brilliance and over twice the fire of diamond. It is never a mere imitation.
Will the moissanite hold up to daily wear?
At 9–9.25 on the Mohs scale, moissanite is one of the hardest gems on earth—harder than sapphire—so it resists scratches, chips, and clouding through everyday life.
Will yellow gold turn my skin green?
No. Solid gold is inert on skin; the discoloration people fear comes from cheap base-metal jewelry. The color here runs through the entire alloy and is permanent.
Is the ruby leaf wedding band part of this listing?
No—the ruby leaf band shown in some photos is sold separately. This listing is for the oval moissanite engagement ring on its own.
Does the ring come with free engraving?
Yes, up to 16 characters of complimentary engraving—room for a date, initials, or a few words that belong to just the two of you.
How long will my order take?
Each ring is handcrafted to order; please allow 3–5 weeks for production. Custom modifications may add time.
Can I switch the metal color or center stone?
Yes—white and rose gold are available on request, and alternative gemstones can be quoted. Contact us before ordering for a personalized quote.
How should I determine my ring size?
Use our Find Your Size guide before ordering. The drop-down includes half and quarter sizes, and measuring in the evening, when fingers are largest, gives the best fit.
✨ Production time
Every ring on this page is cast, set and finished for your order. Nothing is taken from stock.
- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.

Shipping is added once your ring is finished. These are the options you will see at checkout:
- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10
- FedEx 2Day® — $22

Please note: upgraded shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten the 3–6 week production time. Transit estimates begin the day your ring ships, not the day you order, and can vary with carrier delays. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
🌍 International
We ship worldwide with DHL. Live rates for your address are calculated at checkout — usually DHL Express Worldwide, with DHL eCommerce Parcel Standard also offered to some destinations as a slower, lower-cost option.
For many countries, duties and taxes can be prepaid at checkout for a smoother delivery — if prepaid, no additional fees are due on arrival. Customs fees are set by your country and are non-refundable once the order has shipped.
Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.
CHARACTER LIMITS
Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.
• Women’s rings: up to 16 characters
• Men’s rings: up to 25 characters
FONT AND SYMBOLS
Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
