Every star you have ever wished on ends in a burst of light — and that is exactly the shape the Joelle traces around its center stone. This vintage moissanite engagement ring in solid 14K white gold sets a GRA certified round brilliant inside a starburst halo of moissanite accents, so the whole top of the ring flares like a star caught mid-twinkle. Antique soul, celestial sparkle, modern price.
The Starburst Setting
Halo rings surround the center stone with a ring of accents; the Joelle goes further, arranging its brilliant moissanite accents in radiating points that frame the round center like an engraved star map. The starburst is a beloved motif of antique jewelry — celestial, romantic, and instantly recognizable across a room — and it earns the Joelle its place among our vintage moissanite engagement rings. Because the surrounding points add spread and sparkle, the design also delivers the finger presence that draws so many shoppers to halo engagement rings in the first place.
All Moissanite, All Fire
Center and accents alike are moissanite — a genuine gemstone with more fire than almost anything else you can set in a ring. Its dispersion exceeds a diamond’s by more than double, so candlelight and sunlight both come back as showers of spectral color. The 6 mm round brilliant center, approximately 0.8 carats, is the cut that maximizes this effect; you can see the same optics across our round moissanite engagement rings. Curious what the stone actually is? Our what is moissanite guide covers its meteor-crater origin story, and moissanite meaning and symbolism explores why couples connect with a star-born stone.
Certified, Not Compromised
The center stone is GRA certified and graded D color — fully colorless — with VVS1 clarity, and the certificate ships with the ring. That documentation matters, because not every clear stone is equal: cubic zirconia dulls and scratches within a few years, while moissanite at 9–9.25 Mohs keeps its polish and fire for good. The differences are laid out plainly in moissanite vs cubic zirconia. An all-moissanite ring of this grade costs a fraction of its diamond equivalent — the classic reason value-smart couples land here rather than among traditional gemstone engagement rings.
Your Metal, Your Way
The Joelle is made to order in solid 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold, or platinum, each selectable from the drop-down menu. 10K is the hardest and most affordable gold; 14K is the most popular balance of durability, purity, and value; 18K carries the richest gold content for a luxurious feel; platinum is naturally white, the densest choice, and hypoallergenic for sensitive skin. Prefer a warmer look? Yellow and rose gold are available in every karat on request. For a broader tour of setting styles and how they wear, see our guide to engagement ring styles and setting types.

Sizing & Care
Each Joelle is made to order in your exact size — the find-your-size guide walks you through measuring at home, and sizing can vary up to a half size between different jewelers’ tools, so measure with care. Moissanite’s upkeep is minimal: a soak in warm soapy water and a soft brush around the starburst points brings back full brilliance. Complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included, an optional appraisal is available from the drop-down menu, and every ring ships free in the USA with a free luxury ring box. All stones are conflict-free.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a starburst halo?
Instead of a plain circle of accents, the Joelle's moissanite accents radiate outward in points around the round center - a celestial motif borrowed from antique jewelry that makes the whole ring top flash like a star.
What era inspired the Joelle?
The design draws on vintage celestial jewelry, when starbursts, crescents, and radiating engraving were the height of romance. The Joelle keeps that antique character with modern stone-setting precision.
Is a 6 mm center too small?
Not on this design. The starburst halo extends the sparkle well beyond the approximately 0.8 carat center, so the ring wears with far more presence than the center's carat weight alone suggests.
Is moissanite just another name for cubic zirconia?
No. CZ is a soft simulant that clouds and scratches within years; moissanite is a distinct genuine gemstone - silicon carbide - that is dramatically harder and holds its fire permanently.
Why is the round cut the sparkliest?
The round brilliant's facet pattern was engineered to return the maximum light. Applied to moissanite, whose fire already exceeds a diamond's, it produces the most intense rainbow flash of any cut.
Does the ring come with certification?
Yes - the center moissanite is GRA certified, graded D color and VVS1 clarity, and the certificate accompanies the ring. Other certifications are available at additional cost.
Can I wear it every day?
Yes. At 9-9.25 on the Mohs scale, moissanite is harder than sapphire and resists everyday scratches. The low-profile starburst setting also protects the stones during daily wear.
Can I shower or wash dishes with it on?
Moissanite and solid gold are unbothered by water, but soap films can temporarily mute the sparkle, and knocks against hard surfaces are best avoided - slipping it off for chores keeps it dazzling longer.
Which metal option should I pick?
10K white gold is the most durable and most affordable; 14K is the classic all-rounder most couples choose; 18K has the richest gold content; platinum is naturally white, denser, and hypoallergenic.
Is yellow or rose gold available?
Yes - the Joelle is shown in white gold, but yellow and rose gold are available in every karat. Just let us know when ordering.
Can I have it engraved?
Yes - complimentary engraving is included, up to 16 characters, ideal for a date, initials, or a private phrase inside the band.
How long does it take to make?
The Joelle is made to order; please allow 3-5 weeks for it to be handmade for you. Requested modifications are subject to revised production timelines and pricing.
How do I make sure I order the right size?
Measure at home using the find-your-size guide linked in the sizing section. Because sizing can vary up to a half size between jewelers' tools, double-check before ordering or ask us for help.
Can I request a different gemstone?
Yes - different gemstone options are available for this setting. Contact us for a custom quote, and an optional appraisal can be added from the drop-down menu (non-refundable once performed).
✨ Production time

Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.

Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.

Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
