The Eva looks like something inherited — a ring with a past, even though its story starts with you. This London blue topaz engagement ring frames a natural emerald-cut stone the color of deep ocean water in intricately detailed solid yellow gold, with your choice of moissanite or natural diamond accents completing its old-world sparkle.
The Deepest Blue Topaz There Is
London blue is the darkest, most saturated shade in the blue topaz family — inky teal in low light, glowing steel-blue in the sun. The Eva’s natural center stone measures 8.0 x 6.0 mm and carries approximately 1.6 carats, with the remarkable clarity this gem is prized for. At 8 on the Mohs scale, topaz is well suited to a ring worn daily. Blue topaz is also December’s birthstone — see our December birthstone guide — and carries centuries of calming, clarifying symbolism you can read about in topaz meaning and symbolism. To see this color across more silhouettes, browse our full collection of London blue topaz rings.
Why the Emerald Cut Suits It
Where brilliant cuts scatter light into sparkle, the emerald cut’s long step facets open windows into the stone — a hall-of-mirrors effect that lets you look down into that deep blue rather than just at it. It is the cut that rewards rich color, which is exactly what London blue topaz has to give. The clean geometry also plays beautifully against the Eva’s ornate vintage frame; if the shape speaks to you, explore more emerald cut engagement rings.
A Vintage Frame in Solid Yellow Gold
Intricate detailing and a slender band — averaging just 1.7 mm — give the Eva its romantic, heirloom character, echoing the vintage and antique engagement ring tradition while being newly handmade for you. It is offered in three karats of solid yellow gold, selectable from the drop-down: 10K, the hardest and most affordable; 14K, the most popular balance of warmth, durability, and value; and 18K, the richest gold content for the deepest yellow hue. Every option is solid gold through and through, like the rest of our solid gold rings. Not sure which karat suits you? Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat guide walks through color, durability, and value so you can choose with confidence.
Choose Your Accent Stones
The halo of small stones framing the center is yours to define:
- Moissanite — D color, VVS1 clarity, 9 on the Mohs scale. A real lab-grown gemstone with exceptional brilliance and even more fire than diamond.
- Natural diamond — G/H color, I1 eye-clean clarity, 10 on the Mohs scale, conflict-free. The heirloom-classic choice.
Either way the accents stay quietly supportive, letting the blue center lead. If you love a colored center stone, there is a whole world of gemstone engagement rings to compare — or let our guide to matching a gemstone to your birth month point the way.

Sizing & Care
The Eva is handmade to order in your exact size, with half and quarter sizes available — and because ring sizers and mandrels can vary up to half a size between jewelers, we recommend measuring with our ring sizing guide before ordering. Care is simple: warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush restore the topaz’s glassy shine. Avoid sharp knocks and sudden extreme heat, store the ring in its box, and it will keep its deep blue clarity for decades. An optional professional appraisal is available from the drop-down menu.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the London blue topaz in this ring natural?
Yes. The Eva’s center stone is a natural London blue topaz — not simulated and not lab-created — prized for its deep ocean-blue color and remarkable clarity, measuring 8.0 x 6.0 mm at approximately 1.6 carats.
What makes London blue different from other blue topaz?
Depth. Sky blue topaz is pale and airy, Swiss blue is bright and electric, and London blue is the darkest of the three — a saturated teal-blue with a moody, inky character that reads as luxurious rather than playful.
Is topaz durable enough for an engagement ring?
Yes. Topaz measures 8 on the Mohs hardness scale, harder than steel and most everyday materials. With ordinary care — removing it for heavy work and storing it away from harder stones — it wears beautifully as a daily ring.
Should I choose moissanite or natural diamond accents?
Moissanite (D color, VVS1) gives exceptional brilliance and extra fire at a friendlier price — it is a real lab-grown gemstone, not an imitation. Natural diamond (G/H, I1 eye-clean, conflict-free) is the traditional heirloom choice. Visually both read as bright white sparkle framing the blue center.
Which gold karat should I pick?
10K yellow gold is the hardest and most affordable way to own the Eva; 14K is the most popular all-rounder, balancing rich warmth, everyday durability, and value; 18K carries the richest gold content for the deepest, most luxurious yellow hue.
Is this ring real solid gold?
Yes. Every karat option is solid yellow gold all the way through — never plated, never gold-filled — so the warm color and the value are permanent parts of the ring.
Why does the emerald cut suit London blue topaz?
The emerald cut’s long step facets act like windows, showing off a stone’s body color and clarity rather than breaking it into glitter. Deeply colored gems like London blue topaz look their richest in exactly this cut.
Is blue topaz a birthstone?
Yes — blue topaz is a December birthstone, making the Eva a meaningful choice for December birthdays as well as winter proposals. Topaz more broadly has long symbolized clarity, calm, and good fortune.
Can I get a matching wedding band?
Yes. A matching wedding band can be custom made to order to sit flush with the Eva’s vintage profile. Contact us and we will design it around your engagement ring.
Is engraving included?
Yes — complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included, a lovely place for a date, initials, or a private phrase hidden inside the band.
How long does it take to make?
The Eva is handmade to order; please allow 3–5 weeks for production. Requested modifications are welcome and may adjust the timeline and pricing — different gemstone options are also available with a custom quote.
Can I order an appraisal with the ring?
Yes. Select the optional professional appraisal from the drop-down menu at checkout. Please note the appraisal cost is non-refundable once the work has been performed.
How do I find my ring size?
Use our sizing guide at aquamarise.com/pages/find-your-size. Sizing can vary up to half a size between jewelers’ tools, and half and quarter sizes are available, so measuring carefully before ordering is worth the five minutes.
Is this ring conflict-free and gift-ready?
Yes on both counts. The stones are conflict-free — including the natural diamond accent option — and the ring arrives in a free luxury ring box with free USA shipping, ready for the moment.
✨ Production time

- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.

- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10
- FedEx 2Day® — $22

Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
