Meet the Esme — a vintage-inspired design built around a trio of certified diamonds. A 5 × 7 mm oval lab-grown diamond, IGI graded at D color and VVS1 clarity, rises between two trillion cut side diamonds whose tapered points draw the eye inward like a crown. Set in solid 14K white gold with flowing antique detailing, it is the ring for someone who wants a name, a story, and the grades to back both up.
The Esme: Three Diamonds, One Composition
Where most vintage rings decorate a single stone, the Esme composes three. The oval center and its trillion companions form a crown-like structure that reads as one continuous sweep of light across the hand — the geometry that makes three-stone engagement rings such enduring symbols of past, present, and future. The delicate band carries flowing curves and vintage detailing that evoke antique engagement rings while keeping a clean, modern profile, placing the Esme comfortably among our vintage and antique engagement rings.
Trillion Cut Sides: The Architectural Detail
Trillion cut diamonds are triangular brilliants — rare on vintage-style rings, and the detail that gives the Esme its architectural edge. Their broad, shallow facets flash wide sheets of light that contrast with the concentrated sparkle of the oval center, and their tapered outline makes the center stone look larger by comparison. It is a small choice with an outsized effect, and one you will find across our wider diamond jewelry collection.
A Real Diamond, Independently Graded
All three stones are lab-grown diamonds — real diamonds in every measurable sense, as we explain in are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds. The center is IGI certified at D color, the top of the colorless scale, and VVS1 clarity, effectively flawless to any eye that is not aided by a loupe. If you are thinking about long-term worth, our honest look at whether lab-grown diamonds hold value covers what certification does and does not guarantee. More certified designs live in our lab-grown diamond engagement rings collection.
Choose Your Solid Metal
The Esme is made to order in solid 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold, or solid platinum — selected from the drop-down. 10K is the most durable and most affordable; 14K, the most popular, balances strength and gold content; 18K carries the highest gold content for the richest feel. Platinum is the premium route: naturally white, denser, hypoallergenic, and permanent in color because the metal is solid throughout. Our karat comparison guide lays out the differences, and when the wedding approaches, our diamond wedding bands nest beautifully beside the Esme’s silhouette. Yellow and rose gold are available on request.

Sizing & Care
Order in your exact size — our find-your-size guide makes measuring at home simple. Diamonds sit at Mohs 10, the hardest gem material there is, so daily wear is what this ring was built for; a warm-water soak with mild dish soap and a soft brush keeps all three stones brilliant. For the long habits that keep any ring flawless — when to take it off, how to store it — see how to care for your engagement ring. The Esme ships free in the USA in a free luxury ring box.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the Esme design different?
The Esme pairs a vintage-detailed band with a three-diamond composition: an oval center flanked by trillion cut side stones. The triangular sides create a crown-like structure you rarely see on antique-style rings, which usually rely on a lone center stone.
What is a trillion cut diamond?
A trillion is a triangular brilliant cut. Its broad facets throw wide flashes of light rather than pinpoint sparkle, making trillions ideal side stones - they frame the center, add spread across the finger, and make the oval look larger.
Is this considered a three-stone ring?
Yes, in spirit. The oval center and two trillion sides form the classic three-stone arrangement, often read as past, present, and future - here interpreted through a vintage lens.
Are the diamonds real?
Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are genuine diamonds - the same crystallized carbon, the same Mohs 10 hardness, the same fire as mined stones. Every stone on the Esme, center and sides, is a real diamond.
What does the IGI certificate tell me?
The International Gemological Institute independently grades the center diamond’s color, clarity, and cut. This one is graded D color - fully colorless - and VVS1 clarity, meaning inclusions are nearly undetectable under 10x magnification.
Do lab-grown diamonds hold their value?
Their lasting value is in what you get for what you pay: a certified D/VVS1 diamond at a price no mined equivalent can match. Like most jewelry, rings are keepsakes rather than investments - we link a full, honest discussion of resale in the description above.
How large is the 5 x 7 mm oval center?
It is a refined, balanced size - elegant on the hand without overwhelming the vintage detailing, and visually extended by the trillion side stones on either shoulder.
Are trillion side stones durable?
Yes - they are diamonds at Mohs 10, the hardest gem material known. As with any pointed cut, sensible habits help: remove the ring for heavy manual work and impacts, and the settings will protect the corners for decades.
Which metal should I pick?
10K white gold for maximum toughness and the friendliest price, 14K for the classic balance most couples choose, 18K for the highest gold content, or platinum for a naturally white, hypoallergenic heirloom metal whose color never changes.
Can the Esme be made in yellow or rose gold?
Yes. It is photographed in white gold, but yellow and rose gold are available on request - just contact us before placing your order.
How long does it take to make?
Each Esme is made to order with an estimated production time of 2–6 weeks. Your ring is crafted for you individually, not pulled from stock.
How do I get the right ring size?
Use the find-your-size guide linked in the sizing section - it shows you how to measure a finger or an existing ring at home. Between sizes, most people go up rather than down.
What is included with my order?
A free luxury ring box, free USA shipping, and the assurance that every stone is conflict-free. The Esme arrives ready to propose with.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
