Moonlight, cut to shape. This coffin cut moissanite engagement ring set pairs an elongated, GRA certified D color VVS1 center — roughly two carats of icy fire — with a matching contour band, both cast in solid white gold or platinum and finished with hand-applied milgrain. Bold enough for a gothic wedding, disciplined enough for every day after it.
The Engagement Ring
An elongated coffin cut moissanite, approx. 10 x 6 mm (~1.8–2.1 ct), crowned by round moissanite accents and milgrain beadwork on a 1.7 mm band.
The Contour Band
A matching accent band traced with round D–F color moissanites, shaped to follow the engagement ring’s silhouette and sit flush against it.
The Coffin Cut, for the Unafraid
Most brides choose soft shapes. This set chooses an edge. The coffin cut — elongated, tapered, unapologetically architectural — turns a colorless stone into a statement of intent, which is why it anchors our coffin cut engagement rings collection. Cool white metal sharpens the drama: against white gold or platinum, the stone reads like ice under moonlight rather than candlelight. If the shape intrigues you, our guide to the meaning and styling of coffin cut engagement rings traces where this silhouette came from and how to wear it.
A Real Gemstone with More Fire Than Diamond
Moissanite is not an imitation of anything — it is silicon carbide, a genuine lab-grown gemstone with a higher refractive index than diamond and measurably more spectral fire, at 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale. The center stone here is graded D color and VVS1 clarity and arrives with its GRA certificate, so the brilliance you see is documented, not implied. Curious how it compares to a mined or lab-created diamond? Our journal answers whether moissanite is a lab-grown diamond — and why the answer makes it the smarter buy for many couples.
White Gold in Three Karats, or Platinum
Choose your metal straight from the drop-down: 10K white gold is the hardest and most affordable, 14K is the classic balance most brides pick, 18K carries the highest gold content, and platinum — naturally white to its core, denser, and hypoallergenic — is the premium option. Every choice is solid precious metal all the way through. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat comparison guide walks through the trade-offs; solid yellow or rose gold is available on request.
A Finished Stack from Day One
Because the contour band is designed with the engagement ring rather than after it, the two nest flush with no gap — the proposal and the wedding day already coordinated. It is one of the most distinctive pairings among our wedding ring sets for women, and the whole design language continues across our moissanite jewelry collection if you want earrings or a pendant to match. Every set ships conflict-free, with free USA shipping and a free luxury ring box.

Sizing & Care
Measured ring sizes can differ by up to half a size between jewelers’ sizers and mandrels, so confirm yours with our ring size guide before ordering. Care is refreshingly simple: at 9.25 Mohs, moissanite shrugs off daily wear, and both white gold and platinum need only warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush now and then. Remove the rings for heavy lifting and abrasive work, store them in the included luxury box, and the set will outlast the story you tell about it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in this engagement ring set?
Two rings, designed together: the coffin cut moissanite engagement ring and its matching moissanite-accented contour band. They arrive as a coordinated pair, so no separate band hunt is needed later.
Is moissanite a real gemstone?
Yes. Moissanite is silicon carbide, a genuine lab-grown gemstone in its own right - not an imitation diamond. It rates 9.25 on the Mohs scale and shows more fire and brilliance than diamond, which is exactly why many couples choose it on purpose.
Is the center stone certified?
Yes. Each moissanite ring includes a GRA certificate documenting the stone, and additional certifications are available upon request.
What do D color and VVS1 clarity mean?
D is the highest colorless grade on the standard scale - pure icy white with no warm tint - and VVS1 means any inclusions are so minute they are very hard to detect even under magnification. Together they describe a stone that faces up bright, white, and clean.
What exactly is a coffin cut?
An elongated shape with straight tapered sides and a squared-off end - a bold, architectural silhouette popular in gothic, celestial, and alternative bridal design. It reads dramatic on the hand while wearing as comfortably as any elongated stone.
How large is the center stone?
Approximately 10 x 6 mm, which corresponds to roughly 1.8 to 2.1 carats. The elongated proportions stretch visually along the finger, so it wears even larger than the number suggests.
Do the two rings sit flush together?
Yes. The contour band is shaped to trace the engagement ring's silhouette, so the pair nests flush with no visible gap between them.
Will moissanite pass a diamond tester?
Most standard testers measure thermal conductivity, and moissanite conducts heat much like diamond, so it commonly registers as diamond on those devices. Testers that measure electrical conductivity can tell the two apart - which is a distinction, not a flaw.
Should I choose white gold or platinum?
White gold in 10K, 14K, or 18K offers three price and durability points, while platinum is naturally white all the way through, denser on the hand, and hypoallergenic. Platinum is the premium choice; 14K white gold is the most popular.
Is this set really solid precious metal?
Yes. Every option - 10K, 14K, and 18K white gold, and platinum - is solid through and through, so the set can be polished, resized by a jeweler, and passed down as an heirloom.
Is moissanite durable enough for everyday wear?
Yes. At 9-9.25 on the Mohs scale, moissanite is harder than sapphire and ruby and second only to diamond among ring-worthy stones. It resists scratching and clouding through decades of daily wear.
How long does production take?
Each set is handmade to order; please allow 2-5 weeks for production. Requested modifications may extend the timeline or adjust pricing, and we confirm details before work begins.
Is engraving included?
Yes - complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included. Leave your initials, date, or short phrase as a note at checkout, and an optional written appraisal can be added from the drop-down menu.
✨ Production time

Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
