The hexagon moss agate center
At the heart of the set is a natural green moss agate, about 6.0×10.0 mm and 1.8 carats, in a striking hexagon cut. Moss agate is a natural chalcedony (a member of the quartz family) prized for its green, moss-like dendritic inclusions — natural mineral patterns, so no two stones are alike. It is Mohs 6.5–7: durable enough for a ring, and best given a little care.
Emerald & moissanite accents
The center is accented by lab-grown emerald and moissanite. Lab-grown emerald is the same green beryl mineral as mined emerald (Mohs 7.5–8), grown ethically for vivid color; like all emeralds it can be a little brittle. Moissanite is a lab-created gem with exceptional fire and near-diamond hardness (Mohs 9–9.25) — its own distinct gemstone, not a diamond.
