A band with real weight and quiet confidence. This 8mm beveled edge wedding band is crafted in solid 14K yellow gold — gold alloy all the way through, not plated and not over a silver core — with a soft satin-brushed center framed by high-polish beveled edges. It is a substantial, masculine, minimalist ring built to be worn every day for a lifetime and passed on as an heirloom.
A modern take on a classic band
The design earns its presence through contrast: a matte satin surface runs across the crown of the band, while the angled beveled edges are polished to a mirror shine that catches the light along the finger. The result reads architectural and understated at once — a wide band that feels considered rather than flashy. It sits naturally alongside the timeless profiles in our classic wedding bands collection, and belongs among the full range of solid gold wedding bands made to last a marriage.
Solid gold, all the way through
This is genuine solid gold: the same precious metal on the surface, in the interior, and after any future resizing or repair. Unlike plated finishes, there is nothing to wear off — a solid gold band looks essentially the same in year thirty as it does in year one, which is exactly what you want from a ring worn through every ordinary and meaningful day. Wherever possible we source recycled gold from certified refiners, identical in purity to newly mined metal with a far smaller footprint. Because the metal is solid throughout, the band can be resized, polished, and cared for indefinitely. Our guide on how to care for gold jewelry covers keeping that finish bright for decades.
Choose your karat
Every band in this listing is made in solid yellow gold, and you select your karat from the drop-down menu. Each option is the same warm yellow color — the difference is the gold content and character. 10K is the hardest and most affordable, an excellent everyday choice for hands-on lives. 14K is our most popular all-rounder, balancing rich color with lasting strength. 18K holds the richest gold content for the deepest, most luxurious warmth. If you are weighing the options, our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat guide walks through how each wears over time, and our comparison of gold colors is worth a read if you are still deciding on tone.
Built for all-day comfort
The band has a gently domed profile and a comfort-fit interior — a slightly rounded inner surface that reduces pressure and slides on easily, which makes a real difference in a wider 8mm ring worn from morning to night. It is an ideal choice for anyone who wants a band with luxurious heft and timeless appeal, whether worn alone or as the anchor of a coordinated set. What a solid gold band symbolizes
A wedding band is the most permanent thing most people ever wear, and solid gold has carried that promise across cultures for millennia — a material chosen precisely because it endures, holds its value, and resists tarnish and corrosion. A wide, weighty band in real gold is a fitting emblem of a commitment meant to be lifelong and unbroken.

Sizing & care
Choose your size at checkout. Sizing can vary slightly between jewelers and mandrels — often up to a half size — so please check our size guide before ordering, and if the fit is not quite right, resizing is available and starts from a modest fee. Solid gold does not tarnish, but everyday oils and lotions can dull its shine; warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth restore it completely. Store the band in its velvet box when not worn. With simple care, this is a ring made to wear every single day.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a solid gold ring or gold plated?
It is genuine solid gold — gold alloy all the way through, not plated and not over a silver core. The same metal is on the surface, in the interior, and after any resizing, so there is no plating that can wear off over time.
What karat options are available?
You can select solid 10K, 14K, or 18K yellow gold from the drop-down menu. All three are the same warm yellow color; the difference is gold content, hardness, and depth of tone.
Which karat should I choose?
10K is the hardest and most affordable, ideal for hands-on daily wear. 14K is the most popular balance of color and durability. 18K has the richest color and highest gold content but is a little softer. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K guide breaks it down.
How wide is the band?
This band is 8mm wide — a substantial, statement width that wears comfortably thanks to the domed profile and comfort-fit interior.
What is a comfort-fit interior?
The inside of the band is gently rounded rather than flat, which reduces pressure on the finger and lets the ring slide on and off more easily. It makes a wider band feel lighter and more comfortable for all-day wear.
Will the satin finish wear off?
The satin texture is worked into the surface of the solid gold itself, so it will not flake or peel. Over years of wear it may soften slightly; a jeweler can refresh both the satin and the polished edges anytime.
Does solid gold tarnish?
No. Solid gold does not tarnish, rust, or corrode. It can pick up oils and lotions that dull the shine, but warm soapy water and a soft cloth bring it right back.
Can this band be resized?
Yes. Solid gold is straightforward to resize because the metal accepts cutting and soldering cleanly. Resizing is available and starts from a modest fee for non-engraved, unworn rings.
Can I have it engraved?
Yes — complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included. A date, initials, or a short phrase inside the band is a lovely personal touch. Engraved pieces are final sale, so please double-check spelling.
Is the gold ethically sourced?
Wherever possible we use recycled gold from certified refiners, which is chemically identical to newly mined gold but avoids the mining and processing of new material.
How long until it ships?
Each band is made to order and handcrafted for you, so please allow 3–5 weeks. Requested modifications may adjust the timeline and pricing.
Does it arrive gift-ready?
Yes. Every order ships in a free luxury velvet gift box and is backed by our lifetime warranty — ready to give or to keep for a lifetime.
Can I find a matching band?
Absolutely. Browse our women's wedding bands and the wider solid gold wedding bands collection to coordinate a set in the same karat and color.
✨ Production time
Every ring on this page is cast, set and finished for your order. Nothing is taken from stock.
- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.
🚚 United States
Shipping is added once your ring is finished. These are the options you will see at checkout:
- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10
- FedEx 2Day® — $22
- FedEx Overnight — $35
Please note: upgraded shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten the 3–6 week production time. Transit estimates begin the day your ring ships, not the day you order, and can vary with carrier delays. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
🌍 International
We ship worldwide with DHL. Live rates for your address are calculated at checkout — usually DHL Express Worldwide, with DHL eCommerce Parcel Standard also offered to some destinations as a slower, lower-cost option.
For many countries, duties and taxes can be prepaid at checkout for a smoother delivery — if prepaid, no additional fees are due on arrival. Customs fees are set by your country and are non-refundable once the order has shipped.
Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.
CHARACTER LIMITS
Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.
• Women’s rings: up to 16 characters
• Men’s rings: up to 25 characters
FONT AND SYMBOLS
Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:
♥ ♡ ☾ ✩ ★ ✿ ♬ ♯ • ■
Custom fonts, or symbols outside this selection, are available for $25. For a logo or bespoke design, email us an SVG file before you order so our team can confirm it will engrave cleanly. Very fine or highly detailed artwork may not suit narrow or delicate bands — we will tell you before we proceed rather than after.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
