The ocean, captured in a single stone. This teal sapphire engagement ring centers a princess-cut sapphire in a rich blue-green that shifts between sea-blue and forest-teal as the light moves, flanked by crisp baguette accents in a clean three-stone setting. Crafted in solid 925 sterling silver with a bright rhodium finish, it is a bold, sophisticated engagement, promise, or September birthstone ring for anyone drawn to unexpected color.
A color that stands apart
Teal is the sapphire hue that turns heads — a mesmerizing blue-green that reads cooler and more blue in some light, greener and more forest-like in others. Against the clean geometry of a princess cut, that shifting color feels alive. It is a striking alternative to the expected blue or classic diamond, and a natural fit for anyone who wants something a little different. Discover more of this rare shade in our teal sapphire rings edit, or explore the full palette across our sapphire engagement rings.
A genuine teal sapphire
The center is a genuine lab-grown teal sapphire — real corundum, chemically and physically identical to a mined sapphire, simply grown in an ethical, conflict-free way with that vivid, consistent blue-green color. At 9 to 9.5 on the Mohs scale, sapphire is one of the hardest gems on earth, second only to diamond, so it is superbly durable and ideal for everyday wear. The princess cut measures a generous 7 x 7 mm at approximately 2 carats, giving the teal bold presence on the finger.
A meaningful three-stone design
The sapphire is framed by a clean three-stone setting, with a crisp baguette accent on each side that leads the eye straight to the vivid center. The three-stone silhouette has long symbolized a couple’s past, present, and future, which makes it a heartfelt choice for engagements — see more of the style in our three-stone engagement rings collection. The baguettes are simulated diamonds, chosen for bright, glassy sparkle against the teal; if you would prefer permanent stones, the sides can be upgraded to lab-grown diamond or moissanite on request.
Solid sterling silver with a rhodium finish
The ring is crafted in solid 925 sterling silver with a rhodium finish, the same precious metal used on fine white gold, for a crisp, mirror-white shine and a protective layer that helps resist tarnish and everyday scratches. The band is a comfortable 2 mm wide, nickel-free and hypoallergenic, and genuine sterling silver will not turn your finger green, so it wears easily every day.
September’s birthstone and its meaning
Sapphire is September’s birthstone and has long symbolized loyalty, wisdom, and faithful love. In its rare teal form it adds an ocean-like sense of depth and calm, making this ring a deeply personal choice for a September birthday, engagement, or anniversary. Sizing & care
Select your size at checkout; if you are unsure or between sizes, reach out and we will help, and resizing is available and starts from a modest fee. Sapphire is wonderfully hard-wearing: clean with warm water, a drop of mild soap, and a soft brush, then dry with a lint-free cloth. Store the ring separately to protect the rhodium finish, and remove it before harsh cleaning chemicals. For more coordinated pieces, browse our sapphire jewelry range, or read our full guide to sapphire engagement rings.
Frequently asked questions
Is the teal sapphire a real sapphire?
Yes. It is a genuine lab-grown teal sapphire, which is real corundum, identical in chemistry and hardness to a mined sapphire. It is created in a lab for an ethical, conflict-free origin and consistent blue-green color.
What color is the stone?
A vivid teal — a rich blue-green that can look cooler and more blue or greener depending on the light, giving it a distinctive, ocean-like character.
How durable is it for everyday wear?
Extremely durable. Sapphire rates 9 to 9.5 on the Mohs scale, one of the hardest gems on earth and second only to diamond, so it stands up beautifully to daily wear.
What does the three-stone design mean?
A three-stone setting has long symbolized a couple’s past, present, and future, which makes it a heartfelt and popular choice for engagement and anniversary rings.
Are the side stones real diamonds?
The baguette accents are simulated diamonds (cubic zirconia), chosen for bright, glassy sparkle against the teal. If you would like permanent stones, they can be upgraded to lab-grown diamond or moissanite on request.
What size is the center stone?
The princess-cut center measures 7 x 7 mm at approximately 2 carats, for bold presence on the finger.
Is sapphire a birthstone?
Yes. Sapphire is the September birthstone, which makes this ring an especially meaningful gift for a September birthday, engagement, or anniversary.
What metal is it made from?
Solid 925 sterling silver with a rhodium finish for a bright white shine. It is nickel-free and hypoallergenic, and the band is about 2 mm wide.
What does the rhodium finish do?
Rhodium is the same precious metal used on fine white gold. It gives the silver a mirror-bright shine and adds a protective layer that helps the ring resist tarnish and stay freshly polished.
Will it turn my finger green?
No. Genuine 925 sterling silver with a rhodium finish does not turn skin green; that reaction is linked to low-quality or fake metals. This ring is also nickel-free and hypoallergenic.
Can I wear it as an engagement ring?
Absolutely. Its durable sapphire center, three-stone design, and bold color make it a striking teal sapphire engagement ring, promise ring, or anniversary ring.
What size should I order?
Select your ring size at checkout. If you are unsure or between sizes, contact us for guidance. Resizing is available and starts from a modest fee.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Find my ring size link beside the Add to Cart button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
