Men’s Inlay Wedding Rings

Men’s inlay wedding rings set a channel of contrasting material — wood, genuine meteorite, crushed stone and more — into durable tungsten and titanium. Because the materials are natural, every ring is a little different.

Men’s inlay wedding rings set a channel of contrasting material into the band — wood, genuine meteorite, crushed stone, carbon fiber and more — so a stripe of natural color or texture runs the width of the ring. Inlays are the most popular way to give a men’s band real character without a faceted center stone, and because many inlay materials are natural, every ring is a little different. This is our full men’s inlay collection, built mostly on durable tungsten and titanium.

Choose your inlay material

The material sets the whole mood of the ring. Wood inlays bring warmth and natural grain; genuine meteorite carries a fragment of space with its crystalline pattern; crushed-stone inlays add vivid natural color like turquoise and opal; and cosmic celestial designs read like the night sky. For bands that combine several materials at once, see our mixed-material range.

Durable by construction

An inlay ring pairs a tough metal base with a sealed, recessed channel that protects the inlay through daily wear, which is why most are built on scratch-resistant tungsten and titanium. See how inlays compare with every other style in our men’s rings & wedding bands.

Wood and Barrel Oak — the Organic Inlays

Wood is the warmest end of this collection — open grain, deep browns, and the barrel oak in our whiskey barrel rings — and because grain never repeats, no two of these bands read exactly the same. Wood is porous, so treat an organic inlay the way you would a good leather watch strap: take the band off before swimming, showering or washing up, and dry it fully if it does get wet. Meteorite asks for the same discipline for a different reason, since it is iron and must be kept dry. Skip ultrasonic cleaners on any organic or natural-stone inlay and wipe the channel with a soft dry cloth instead. More style-by-style context lives in our non-traditional men’s wedding bands guide.

Meteorite and Crushed Stone — the Natural Inlays

Genuine meteorite inlay is Gibeon-type iron, cut and etched to reveal the Widmanstätten pattern, an interlocking crystal lattice that formed as the parent body cooled and that cannot be manufactured. Crushed-stone inlays take a different route, packing ground natural material into the channel so color runs edge to edge — turquoise at Mohs 5–6, opal at 5.5–6.5, garnet at 6.5–7.5 and moss agate at 6.5–7 all appear across the bands here. Sealed inside a recessed channel on a tungsten or titanium base, these softer materials sit below the wear surface of the ring rather than on it. Read the full background in our meteorite wedding bands guide, or browse the dedicated meteorite men’s wedding bands range.

Tungsten, Titanium and the Base Metal

The base metal decides how the band feels and how well the channel holds its inlay. Tungsten carbide is extremely scratch-resistant and noticeably heavier on the hand, which is why it carries most of the designs here; titanium is lightweight and hypoallergenic, and reads almost weightless by comparison. Both are compared head to head in our titanium vs tungsten rings guide. For a man-made sparkle inlay rather than a natural one, the goldstone-family Starry Night® men’s wedding bands and men’s blue sandstone wedding bands sit alongside this range.

Men’s inlay wedding rings here are built on tungsten and titanium bases. We hold a 4.9-star average across 38,000+ reviews collected on our store and on Etsy, where we have sold since 2016.
