Antique rings carry stories you can never quite confirm. The Joelle carries proof. This vintage lab grown diamond engagement ring in solid 14K white gold pairs an antique-style silhouette with an IGI certified round diamond — D color, VVS clarity — backed by a certificate of authenticity and its own serial number. It looks like an heirloom passed down; it documents like a diamond bought today.
A Genuine Diamond, Born in a Lab
The Joelle’s round center is a lab-grown diamond — pure crystallized carbon, Mohs 10, indistinguishable from a mined diamond because chemically it is the same stone. If you want the full picture of what that means, are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds answers the question head-on, and how lab-grown diamonds are made follows the stone from carbon seed to cut gem. The result here: approximately 0.8 carats of D color, VVS clarity diamond, framed by lab-grown diamond accents that carry the sparkle outward across the vintage-detailed setting.
Certification You Can Hold
Every Joelle ships with its IGI certification and a certificate of authenticity bearing a unique serial number — the paper trail that separates a documented diamond from a described one. The grades themselves are top-shelf: D is the highest color grade on the scale, and VVS clarity means inclusions are so slight they are extremely difficult to find under magnification. Against bright white gold, the stone reads as pure, icy light. Browse more certified stones across our lab-grown diamond engagement rings collection.
The Vintage Case for a Modern Stone
The setting’s intricate detailing gives the Joelle the layered, romantic character of rings from another century — while the lab-grown center keeps the price rooted in this one. Lab-grown diamonds typically cost dramatically less than mined stones of identical grade, a gap our lab-grown diamond price guide breaks down with real numbers. That leftover budget is how couples afford the platinum upgrade, the higher karat, or simply a bigger celebration. See how the round silhouette compares with other classics in our round engagement rings collection.
Solid White Gold or Platinum, Made to Order
Choose solid 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold, or platinum, from the drop-down menu. 10K is the hardest and most affordable; 14K is the balanced favorite; 18K holds the richest gold content for a warmer, weightier feel; platinum is naturally white, the densest of the four, and hypoallergenic — the traditional metal of heirloom diamond rings. Weighing gold against platinum? Our platinum vs gold guide compares them honestly. Yellow and rose gold are available on request, and you can see more designs in bright metal in our white gold jewelry collection.

Sizing & Care
The Joelle is made to order in your exact size — use the find-your-size guide to measure at home, keeping in mind that sizing can vary up to a half size between jewelers’ sizers and mandrels. Diamond is the hardest material a ring can hold, so care is simple: warm soapy water and a soft brush whenever the brilliance dims. Complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included, an optional appraisal can be selected from the drop-down menu, and every ring ships free within the USA in a luxury ring box. All stones are conflict-free.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a real diamond?
Yes. A lab-grown diamond is chemically, physically, and optically identical to a mined diamond - crystallized carbon at 10 on the Mohs scale. Laboratories like IGI grade both on exactly the same scale.
How is a lab-grown diamond created?
A diamond seed is exposed to carbon at extreme heat and pressure - the same forces that form diamonds underground - until a rough diamond crystallizes. It is then cut and polished like any mined stone.
What paperwork comes with the ring?
Two documents: the IGI certification grading the center diamond, and a certificate of authenticity with a unique serial number confirming your ring's quality and origin.
Why does IGI certification matter?
It means an independent laboratory - not the seller - verified the diamond's color and clarity. Your center stone is graded D color, the very top of the scale, with VVS clarity.
How big is the center diamond?
Approximately 6 mm across - about 0.8 carats, though carat weight may vary slightly. The surrounding lab-grown diamond accents extend the sparkle well beyond the center itself.
Does the vintage halo make the diamond look bigger?
Yes - the accent-framed vintage design visually enlarges the ring top, so the piece wears with noticeably more presence than a bare solitaire of the same carat weight.
Are the accent stones also lab-grown diamonds?
Yes. Every stone on the Joelle is a lab-grown diamond - no simulants and no substitutions anywhere on the ring.
How does the price compare to a mined diamond ring?
A lab-grown diamond of identical grade typically costs a fraction of its mined counterpart, because the supply chain is shorter and the origin traceable. The stone itself gives up nothing.
Which metal is most traditional for a diamond ring?
Platinum has been the classic diamond metal for over a century - naturally white, dense, and hypoallergenic. White gold delivers a similar bright look at a friendlier price in 10K, 14K, or 18K.
Can the Joelle be made in yellow or rose gold?
Yes - it is shown in white gold, but yellow and rose gold are available in your chosen karat on request. Contact us before ordering.
How long before it ships?
Each ring is made to order; please allow 3-5 weeks for handcrafting. Requested modifications are subject to revised production timelines and pricing.
Is engraving included?
Yes - complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included with every ring.
What if I am unsure of my ring size?
Measure at home with the find-your-size guide linked in the sizing section. Sizing can vary up to a half size between jewelers' tools, so double-check before ordering or ask us for guidance.
Can I add an appraisal or customize the stones?
Yes to both - select the optional appraisal from the drop-down menu (non-refundable once performed), and different gemstone options are available by custom quote.
✨ Production time

AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.
• Women’s rings: up to 16 characters
• Men’s rings: up to 25 characters
FONT AND SYMBOLS
Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
