Two vines of white gold twist around each other and meet beneath a square of ocean blue — that is the whole story of the Sophia, told in metal and stone. A twisted vine aquamarine ring for a love that keeps growing, with a natural princess-cut center and sparkle woven along the band.
The twisted vine: symbolism you can wear
The Sophia’s band is its signature — two strands of precious metal intertwining like paths that found each other, dotted with accent stones as they climb toward the center. Vine motifs have long stood for growth, unity, and a love that flourishes through every season, which makes this design as meaningful as it is graceful. It keeps good company in our nature-inspired engagement rings collection, and if you are still mapping out what you like, our overview of engagement ring styles and setting types puts the vine setting in context.
A princess-cut aquamarine with real presence
At the heart sits a princess-cut natural aquamarine — 7.0 x 7.0 mm and approximately 1.8 carats — whose crisp square geometry plays beautifully against the organic curves of the band. The stone’s serene ocean-blue hue has symbolized clarity, harmony, and devotion since antiquity, and as the March birthstone it adds a layer of personal meaning for spring birthdays. Explore the full spectrum of blues in our aquamarine rings collection.
Accent stones: moissanite or natural diamond
Choose the sparkle that traces the vine. Moissanite accents (D color, VVS1 clarity, Mohs 9) give the most fire for the value; natural diamond accents (G/H color, eye-clean I1 clarity, conflict-free, Mohs 10) keep it classic. On the Sophia’s 2.3 mm twisted band, either choice reads like dewdrops caught along a stem.
Solid precious metal, four ways
Every Sophia is solid metal all the way through — never plated. Pick 10K white gold for the hardest, most affordable karat; 14K for the most popular balance of strength, comfort, and lasting shine; 18K for the richest gold content; or platinum — naturally white, densest of all, and hypoallergenic for sensitive skin. The design is also available in yellow or rose gold on request. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat guide compares durability, color, and value — and when you are ready to see how the Sophia stacks against its siblings, our aquamarine engagement rings collection holds the whole family.

Sizing & care
Sizing can vary up to half a size between jewelers’ sizers and mandrels, so please confirm yours with our ring sizing guide before ordering. The twisted band needs no special treatment — warm water, mild soap, a soft brush, and a gentle dry keep both metal and stone bright. Aquamarine’s 7.5–8 Mohs hardness suits daily wear; just set the ring aside for heavy work and harsh chemicals. Every Sophia ships free within the USA in a free luxury ring box, with an optional appraisal available at checkout.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the twisted vine design symbolize?
The two intertwining strands of the band represent two paths growing together — growth, unity, and a love that flourishes through every season. It is a nature-inspired motif with centuries of romantic symbolism behind it.
Is the aquamarine natural?
Yes. The center stone is a natural aquamarine — not lab-created or simulated — princess cut to 7.0 x 7.0 mm and approximately 1.8 carats.
How big does the center stone look on the hand?
At 7.0 x 7.0 mm and roughly 1.8 carats, it is a substantial square center — noticeably larger than a classic 6 mm stone — while the twisted band keeps the overall look graceful rather than heavy.
Is aquamarine durable enough for everyday wear?
Yes. Aquamarine measures 7.5–8 on the Mohs hardness scale, well suited to daily wear. Remove the ring for heavy manual work and avoid harsh chemicals to keep its clarity.
What accent stone options are available?
Choose moissanite accents (D color, VVS1 clarity, Mohs 9) or natural conflict-free diamond accents (G/H color, eye-clean I1 clarity, Mohs 10) from the drop-down menu.
What metal options can I choose?
Solid 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold, or platinum — every option solid precious metal throughout. Yellow or rose gold versions are available on request.
Which karat of white gold should I pick?
10K is the hardest and most affordable, 14K is the most popular balance of strength, comfort, and lasting shine, and 18K carries the richest gold content for a more luxurious feel.
Why choose platinum?
Platinum is naturally white with permanent color, the densest and most substantial of the four options, and hypoallergenic — an excellent match for sensitive skin.
Is aquamarine a birthstone?
Yes — aquamarine is the March birthstone, symbolizing clarity, harmony, and devotion. The Sophia doubles as a meaningful birthday ring for anyone born in March.
Is the wider band comfortable for daily wear?
Yes. The 2.3 mm average width gives the vine motif room to read clearly while remaining slim by engagement-ring standards, and the rounded twisted profile sits comfortably against neighboring fingers.
Can the ring be engraved?
Yes. Complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included — a date, initials, or a short phrase of your own.
How long does it take to make?
Each Sophia is made to order and takes 3–5 weeks to be handmade for you. Requested modifications may adjust the production timeline and pricing.
How do I find my ring size?
Use our sizing guide at aquamarise.com/pages/find-your-size. Sizing can vary up to half a size between jewelers, so careful measuring before ordering is worth it.
Can I request a different gemstone or an appraisal?
Yes to both. Different gemstone options are available — contact us for a custom quote — and an optional appraisal can be selected from the drop-down menu (non-refundable once the work has been performed).
✨ Production time
Every ring on this page is cast, set and finished for your order. Nothing is taken from stock.
- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.

- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10
- FedEx 2Day® — $22

Please note: upgraded shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten the 3–6 week production time. Transit estimates begin the day your ring ships, not the day you order, and can vary with carrier delays. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
🌍 International
We ship worldwide with DHL. Live rates for your address are calculated at checkout — usually DHL Express Worldwide, with DHL eCommerce Parcel Standard also offered to some destinations as a slower, lower-cost option.
For many countries, duties and taxes can be prepaid at checkout for a smoother delivery — if prepaid, no additional fees are due on arrival. Customs fees are set by your country and are non-refundable once the order has shipped.
Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.
• Women’s rings: up to 16 characters
• Men’s rings: up to 25 characters

Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
