In this moissanite engagement ring set, the quiet hero is the chevron band: a golden V that points straight at the GRA certified 5 x 10 mm marquise above it, turning two rings into one deliberate piece of design. Cast together in solid yellow gold, the warm metal and colorless D-grade stone play off each other like sunlight on ice.
The Engagement Ring
An elongated 5 x 10 mm marquise moissanite, GRA certified at D color / VVS1 clarity, ringed by moissanite accents that carry the sparkle to the band.
The Chevron Wedding Band
A V-shaped contour band in matching solid yellow gold, angled to frame the marquise point and complete the stack without a gap.
The Chevron Is the Signature
Most wedding bands are straight lines; this one is an arrow. The chevron’s V-shape does two jobs at once — it fills the space beneath the marquise point that a straight band would leave empty, and it aims the eye upward at the center stone like a frame built into the architecture. Worn together, the pair reads as a single sculpted silhouette; worn apart, the band holds its own as a modern geometric ring. You’ll find the same contour logic across our moissanite wedding bands.
Warm Gold, Icy Stone
Yellow gold is the boldest backdrop you can give a D-color moissanite. The alloy’s golden warmth pushes the colorless center toward pure white by contrast, while the stone’s rainbow fire keeps the metal lively — a pairing as old as heirloom jewelry and as current as this season. All three karats are solid yellow gold through the entire ring: 10K the toughest and most affordable, 14K the everyday classic, 18K the richest gold content. The 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat comparison guide settles the choice in one read; other gold colors are available on request.
Why Moissanite for the Center
Priced beside a comparable lab-grown diamond, moissanite makes a persuasive case: it is a genuine lab-created gemstone (silicon carbide) with more fire than diamond, hardness of 9.25 Mohs, and an independent GRA certificate on this stone confirming D color and VVS1 clarity. The honest comparison — where each stone wins — is laid out in moissanite vs lab-grown diamond: which is better for your ring?. The short version: for fire, budget, and everyday resilience, the moissanite argument is hard to beat.
A Stack Built to Grow
Because the chevron band angles away from the center, the set leaves natural room below it — many wearers add an anniversary band later and let the stack tell the story in chapters. The elongated marquise stays legible above every addition, which is exactly why the shape anchors so many designs in our marquise moissanite engagement rings collection and its vintage-leaning cousins among the vintage moissanite engagement rings.

Sizing & Care
Order both rings in your true size — our ring size guide walks through measuring at home, and between sizes it’s safer to go up. Day to day, the set asks very little: moissanite’s 9.25 Mohs hardness handles ordinary wear, a warm-water wash with mild soap and a soft brush restores the fire, and taking the rings off for heavy or abrasive work keeps the gold bright and the prongs snug. Free USA shipping and a free luxury ring box are included with every set.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why a chevron wedding band instead of a straight one?
A straight band leaves a wedge of empty space under a marquise’s pointed tip. The chevron’s V-shape fills that space and frames the stone, so the two rings sit flush and read as one continuous design.
Do the rings leave a gap when worn together?
No. The chevron band is contoured to curve around the engagement ring, nesting against the marquise point so the stack sits as a single seamless silhouette.
Can I add a third band later?
Yes — the chevron’s angle leaves natural room in the stack, and many wearers add an anniversary band down the line. The elongated marquise stays clearly visible above every addition.
Is moissanite better value than a lab-grown diamond?
For most budgets, yes. Moissanite delivers more fire, near-diamond hardness, and an independent certificate at a fraction of the price of a comparable lab-grown diamond — though a diamond remains the harder stone and the traditional pick.
Is moissanite a fake diamond?
No. Moissanite is its own gemstone — lab-grown silicon carbide with its own chemistry and optics. It is not an imitation of diamond; it simply competes with one, and wins on fire.
What certification comes with the center stone?
The marquise center is GRA certified. The certificate independently documents its D color grade and VVS1 clarity grade.
What do D and VVS1 actually mean?
D is the top of the color scale — completely colorless. VVS1 means inclusions so minute they are hard to spot even under 10x magnification. Together they describe a stone that is icy white and eye-clean.
Why choose yellow gold for a moissanite set?
Contrast and character. The warm golden metal makes the colorless center look whiter, and the pairing carries a classic heirloom feel that suits the marquise’s vintage personality.
Is the set solid gold all the way through?
Yes. Both rings are solid yellow gold in your chosen karat — 10K, 14K, or 18K. The color is the alloy itself, permanent through both bands for life.
Which karat should we pick?
14K is the most popular bridal choice — durable, warm, and priced sensibly. 10K is the hardest and most affordable; 18K carries the highest gold content and the deepest golden color.
How big is the center stone?
5 x 10 mm — a 2:1 marquise with roughly the face-up spread of a 1 carat diamond. Its length-first proportions make it look larger on the finger than its measurements imply.
Can this set handle everyday wear?
Yes. Moissanite rates 9.25 on the Mohs scale — harder than sapphire — and solid gold is built for daily life. Remove the rings for rough manual work and they will stay bright for decades.
How long does production take?
The set is made to order, with an estimated production time of 2–6 weeks. Both rings are crafted together so the chevron contour matches the engagement ring exactly.
What arrives in the box?
Both rings of the set, presented in a free luxury ring box with free shipping within the USA. Every stone in the set is conflict-free.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
