Watch this ring in sunlight and you’ll understand why moissanite has a following of its own. The Wisteria’s 5x7mm pear-cut moissanite throws rainbow fire that outsparkles a diamond — and this moissanite engagement ring set surrounds all that light with hand-sculpted leaves and vines in solid 10K, 14K, or 18K yellow gold, finished with a matching vine-style ring guard.
The Engagement Ring
A pear-cut D color, VVS1 moissanite of approximately 1 carat (diamond equivalent), cradled in curling gold branches strung with moissanite accents.
The Ring Guard
A matching vine-style guard that hugs the engagement ring on either side, its sculpted leaves glinting with the same brilliant moissanite accents.
Fire, by the numbers
Moissanite is a genuine gemstone in its own right — silicon carbide, one of the hardest materials known — and its optics are the reason people choose it on purpose rather than as a substitute. It bends light more strongly than diamond does, releasing broader flashes of spectral color, so the pear cut at the Wisteria’s center reads as pure lit-from-within fire. Graded D color and VVS1 clarity, it is icy white and eye-clean under magnification. Wondering how the two stones actually differ? Start with is moissanite a lab-grown diamond.
A garden you can wear
Wisteria is the romantic’s vine — it climbs, drapes, and blooms in cascades — and this set borrows its logic. Each leaf and branch is individually sculpted, wrapping the center stone so the design feels organic rather than machined, vintage in spirit but crisp in execution. The teardrop silhouette of the pear cut continues the trailing line of the vines. It is a natural companion to the rest of our leaf engagement rings and our nature-inspired engagement rings.
The value argument
Because moissanite is grown rather than mined, a stone of this size, color, and clarity costs a fraction of its diamond counterpart — which is how a two-ring bridal set in solid gold stays within reach. Nothing about the metal is economized: every karat option is solid yellow gold through and through, and the set arrives GRA certified with complimentary engraving. Weigh the trade-offs honestly in our guide to moissanite vs lab-grown diamond, then browse the wider field of moissanite engagement rings and wedding ring sets for women.
Three karats of solid yellow gold
Choose your karat from the drop-down: 10K is the most durable and budget-friendly, 14K balances warmth and strength as our most popular pick, and 18K carries the richest gold content and deepest color. Solid gold’s hue is permanent — it cannot wear away or turn skin green, because there is nothing but gold from surface to core. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat comparison guide lays out the differences, and white or rose gold can be arranged on request.

Sizing & care
Check your finger against our find your size guide before ordering — sizing tools can differ by up to half a size between jewelers. Moissanite’s hardness of 9–9.25 makes it comfortably tougher than everyday hazards; an occasional bath in warm, soapy water and a soft brush behind the stones keeps the fire at full brightness. The set is handmade to order (modifications may adjust timeline and pricing), an optional professional appraisal can be added from the drop-down menu (non-refundable once performed), and every order ships free within the US in a luxury ring box.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is moissanite, exactly?
Moissanite is a genuine gemstone made of silicon carbide, first discovered in a meteor crater and now grown in laboratories. It is prized for extreme hardness and for optical fire that exceeds a diamond’s — it is a stone people choose for its own personality, not a stand-in.
Is moissanite just a fake diamond?
No. Moissanite is its own mineral with its own chemistry and its own light performance. It is not an imitation of anything — it simply happens to be brilliant, white, and far more attainable than diamond at the same size.
Why does moissanite sparkle more than a diamond?
Two optical properties: a higher refractive index, so more light bounces back to your eye, and higher dispersion, so that light splits into broader rainbow flashes. In direct sun the effect is unmistakable — more colorful fire than a diamond of the same cut.
Will this stone pass a diamond tester?
Most handheld pen testers measure thermal conductivity, and moissanite conducts heat much like diamond — so many testers will read it as diamond. Our article on whether moissanite passes a diamond tester explains exactly what happens and why.
Is moissanite durable enough for daily wear?
Yes. At 9–9.25 on the Mohs scale, moissanite is harder than sapphire and ruby and second only to diamond among ring-worthy stones. It resists scratching and abrasion through decades of everyday wear.
What certification comes with the set?
The moissanite is GRA certified, and the certificate ships with your rings. If you prefer a different certifying body, other certifications are available on request at additional cost.
What are the center stone’s size and grades?
The pear-cut center measures approximately 5.0 x 7.0 mm — about 1 carat in diamond-equivalent terms — graded D color (fully colorless) and VVS1 clarity (inclusions invisible without magnification).
What is a ring guard, and how does it wear?
A ring guard is a shaped band that sits around your engagement ring rather than beside it — the Wisteria’s vine-style guard frames the pear stone on both sides, so the two rings interlock visually into a single blooming design on the finger.
What is the difference between 10K, 14K, and 18K?
Gold content. 10K is the most durable and least expensive; 14K is the classic balance of richness and strength; 18K contains the most gold and shows the deepest warm color. All three are solid yellow gold all the way through.
Will the gold turn my skin green?
No. That reaction comes from coatings over base metals. This set is solid gold in every karat option, so its color is permanent and skin-friendly for a lifetime of wear.
How does the price compare to a lab-grown diamond version?
Moissanite typically costs a small fraction of a lab-grown diamond of equal size and grade, which is why this set can offer a ~1 carat D color center in solid gold at its price. If you are torn, the Wisteria design is also made with an IGI-certified lab-grown diamond center.
Can moissanite become dull or cloudy over time?
No — moissanite’s clarity and color are stable permanently. Any dullness you ever notice is surface residue from soap or skin oils, and a warm-water wash with mild soap restores the full sparkle in minutes.
Can I personalize the set?
Yes. Complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included, and the design can be made in white or rose gold on request. Requested modifications may adjust production time and pricing.
How long does it take to arrive?
Each set is handmade to order — please allow 3–5 weeks for completion, plus transit. US shipping is free, and the rings arrive together in a luxury ring box, ready for the question.
- Brilliance
- Modernity
- Resilience
Moissanite is silicon carbide, first found by Henri Moissan in 1893 in an Arizona meteorite crater and grown in the lab today, since natural crystals are too small to cut. Its fire is more than twice that of diamond. At 9.25 on the Mohs scale a moissanite engagement ring is second only to diamond in hardness and safe in an ultrasonic cleaner.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Find my ring size link beside the Add to Cart button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
