The moon has always been jewelry’s favorite metaphor — constant, luminous, a little mysterious. This crescent moon moissanite engagement ring set makes it literal: a two-piece celestial design in solid white gold, crowned by a smoky gray marquise moissanite that glows like moonlight through cloud.
The Engagement Ring
A marquise-cut gray moissanite center, approximately 5.0 x 10.0 mm and ~1.0 carat, framed by sparkling colorless moissanite accents on a delicate 1.6 mm average band.
The Companion Band
The second ring completes the crescent moon silhouette, nesting against the engagement ring so the two wear as one celestial design.
A crescent moon on your hand
Celestial jewelry works because it borrows a symbol everyone already loves. Here, the marquise center stone — pointed at both ends, like a sliver of moon itself — anchors a design that reads as a night sky in miniature: the gray center as moonlit cloud, the colorless moissanite accents as surrounding stars. It is a natural companion to the rest of our fantasy-inspired engagement rings, made for someone whose romance runs a little cosmic.
The marquise cut is doing practical work too. Few shapes deliver more face-up size per carat, and its elongated line slims the finger — our guide to marquise engagement rings explains why this Old World cut keeps outperforming newer shapes.
Gray moissanite: smoke and starlight
The center stone is a gray moissanite — a genuine lab-grown gemstone of silicon carbide, rated 9–9.25 on the Mohs scale, with fire exceeding a diamond’s. The gray hue gives the set its lunar character: smoky brilliance that has come to symbolize strength, clarity, and everlasting love. Each moissanite ships with a GRA certificate. If the stone’s deeper symbolism matters to you, our article on moissanite meaning and symbolism traces the story of the “stone from the stars,” first found in a meteor crater — a fitting origin for a crescent moon ring.
Why a two-piece set
Buying the engagement ring and band together solves the problem most brides discover later: finding a wedding band that actually sits flush against a sculptural ring. This set is designed as one composition from the start — no gap, no wobble, no compromise hunting. Sold as a two-piece set, it joins our most-loved wedding ring sets for women, and it works equally well as an engagement set, a promise set, or a meaningful celestial gift.
Solid white gold or platinum
Choose your metal from the drop-down: 10K white gold is the hardest and most affordable; 14K white gold is the most popular all-rounder with a rich gold content; 18K white gold carries the richest gold content of the three; and platinum is naturally white, the densest and most substantial choice, and hypoallergenic for sensitive skin. The 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat guide walks through how each wears over the years.

Sizing & care
Because sizing can differ by up to half a size between jewelers’ tools, please check your measurement against our ring size guide before ordering. Care is easy: moissanite’s hardness makes both rings well suited to daily wear. Clean them together in warm, soapy water with a soft brush, rinse, and dry with a lint-free cloth. The set arrives in a free luxury ring box with free USA shipping.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly is included in this set?
Two rings, sold together as a two-piece set: the marquise gray moissanite engagement ring and its companion band, designed to nest into one crescent moon silhouette.
Is gray moissanite a real gemstone?
Yes. Moissanite is a genuine lab-grown gemstone made of silicon carbide — not a simulant — rated 9–9.25 on the Mohs scale with more fire than a diamond.
What does the crescent moon design symbolize?
The crescent moon has long stood for growth, intuition, and new beginnings — a fitting emblem for an engagement. Paired with gray moissanite, which symbolizes strength, clarity, and everlasting love, the set reads as a small night sky worn on the hand.
How large is the center stone?
The marquise gray moissanite measures approximately 5.0 x 10.0 mm and weighs about 1.0 carat. The marquise cut spreads that weight lengthwise, so it looks notably larger face-up than a round stone of the same carat.
Do the two rings wear comfortably together?
Yes — they are designed as one composition, so the band nests against the engagement ring without gaps or spinning. The slim 1.6 mm average band width keeps the stack lightweight on the finger.
Can I wear the rings separately?
Absolutely. Each ring stands on its own — the engagement ring as a statement marquise solitaire with accents, the band as a delicate celestial stacker — though the full crescent moon effect appears when they are worn together.
Is the moissanite certified?
Yes. Each moissanite ring comes with a GRA certificate, and other certifications are available at additional cost.
Which metal should I choose?
10K white gold is the hardest and most affordable, 14K is the most popular balance of strength and gold content, 18K has the richest gold content, and platinum is naturally white, denser, and hypoallergenic. All four are solid precious metal.
Is this set good for everyday wear?
Yes. Moissanite’s 9–9.25 Mohs hardness makes it one of the most durable gemstones in jewelry, and solid gold and platinum settings are built for decades of daily wear.
Can the set be engraved?
Yes. Complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included — many couples split a phrase or date across the two rings.
How long until my set ships?
Each set is made to order; please allow 3–5 weeks for it to be handmade for you. Requested modifications may adjust the timeline and pricing.
Can I swap the gray stone for another gemstone?
Yes. Different gemstone options are available for this design — contact us for a custom quote.
Is an appraisal available?
Yes. Select the optional appraisal from the drop-down menu. The appraisal cost is non-refundable once the work has been performed.
✨ Production time
Every ring on this page is cast, set and finished for your order. Nothing is taken from stock.
- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.

- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10
- FedEx 2Day® — $22

We ship worldwide with DHL. Live rates for your address are calculated at checkout — usually DHL Express Worldwide, with DHL eCommerce Parcel Standard also offered to some destinations as a slower, lower-cost option.
For many countries, duties and taxes can be prepaid at checkout for a smoother delivery — if prepaid, no additional fees are due on arrival. Customs fees are set by your country and are non-refundable once the order has shipped.
Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.

Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
