Accessibility Statement
How aquamarise.com works for people who use assistive technology, where it still falls short, and how to get help finishing an order another way.
Aquamarise® wants aquamarise.com to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology. Choosing a ring is personal, and every shopper should be able to browse, compare, ask questions and buy with the same ease.
Our Commitment
We are a small family studio, and we treat accessibility the way we treat everything else on this site: as something to be honest about. We would rather publish our real status and a dated list of what still needs work than display a badge. Accessibility is part of every design update, not a one-time project.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Today aquamarise.com is partially conformant: most of the site meets the guidelines, and the exceptions we know about are listed in section 04 with our plan for each.
What We Do
- Write descriptive alternative text for product photos, banners and icons, and give purely decorative images empty alternative text so screen readers skip them.
- Keep one clear heading per page, meaningful link text, labeled form fields and a skip-to-content link on every page.
- Check new pages for alternative text, heading order and color contrast before they go live, and re-check the theme after each design update.
- Publish sizing, shipping, returns and warranty information as plain text pages, not images or PDFs.
- Review third-party tools we add to the site, such as reviews, chat and cart features, and raise accessibility issues with their developers.
Known Limitations
Our review on September 5, 2026 found the following. Each item is on our fix list and this page is updated as they are resolved.
- Keyboard focus indicator. On many links and buttons the theme hides the visible focus outline, so keyboard users cannot always see where they are. A consistent, high-contrast focus style is being added across the theme.
- Small controls. Some links and icons in the top utility bar, the social-media row and the footer are smaller than the recommended 24 by 24 pixel target size.
- Low-contrast secondary text. A few grey captions, review counts and status labels fall just below the 4.5:1 contrast ratio. Body copy, headings and buttons meet the ratio.
- Product videos. Our short product videos contain no speech or meaningful audio, so they carry no captions. If a video ever includes narration, we will caption it.
- Third-party content. Review widgets, live chat, some cart features and the checkout are provided by other companies. We choose providers with published accessibility commitments, but we cannot fully control their code.

Technical Notes
aquamarise.com is built on Shopify and relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript to work with the assistive technologies in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, including VoiceOver on Apple devices and TalkBack on Android. This statement was prepared using a combination of automated checks and manual keyboard review of the home page, a collection page, a product page, an information page and the cart.
