Engraving is complimentary in our standard Arial (Print) font on every Aquamarise® ring, across sterling silver, 14K gold vermeil, solid gold, and tungsten carbide alike, and it is applied to both bands in a matched couples’ set.
What Complimentary Engraving Actually Includes
Laser engraving is included at no charge on the inside of the band, set in Arial (Print). Engraving is offered on most rings with a band width of 1.4mm or wider, and the text is positioned alongside the metal hallmark already stamped inside — 925A on sterling silver, Tungsten Carbide on tungsten. How Much You Can Say
Women’s rings take up to 16 characters including spaces, and men’s rings take up to 25. Band width and design govern the real ceiling, so a wide flat band holds a longer phrase comfortably while a narrow one reads best with something short. Dates work in several formats — 06.15.2026 runs ten characters, June 15, 2026 runs thirteen — and initials joined by an ampersand rarely exceed five. Ten standard symbols are available with no setup: ♥ ♡ ☾ ✩ ★ ✿ ♬ ♯ • ■. A custom symbol or monogram can be engraved if you supply the artwork as an SVG file, and we will confirm whether it reads clearly at that scale before we proceed.

Anniversary gifts take the date itself, while a promise ring usually takes a phrase rather than a date, since the commitment predates any ceremony. Which Metals Take an Engraving
Every metal we set accepts the laser, though the finished line reads a little differently on each. 925 sterling silver is a solid alloy — 92.5% silver with 7.5% copper — so the cut sits in the metal itself rather than in any surface layer. 14K gold vermeil carries at least 2.5 microns of 10K-or-finer gold over that same sterling core, the US FTC standard, and engraves neatly on the inside of the band. Solid 14K gold, 58.5% pure and stamped 585, is softer and takes a deeper impression; solid gold and platinum pieces are made to order in three to six weeks. Tungsten carbide is the hardest of the group and holds the crispest shallow line.
