Some rings look new; this one looks inherited — in the best way. An IGI-certified D color, VVS clarity emerald cut lab-grown diamond rises above a diamond-encrusted gallery and scalloped pavé in solid yellow gold, like an estate piece made for this century.
Old-world elegance, new-world stone
Yellow gold and an emerald cut is the pairing you see in estate cases and family vaults — the look of rings passed down with stories attached. The step-cut stone throws long, composed flashes of light instead of glitter, and the warm gold deepens the effect into something candlelit and permanent. It is a natural companion to our vintage and antique style engagement rings, built with a thoroughly modern conscience.
A certified diamond made for close inspection
The center stone is an IGI-certified lab-grown diamond — a real diamond, Mohs 10, grown above ground — graded D color and VVS clarity. In a step cut, whose broad facets hide nothing, those grades matter: the stone reads glassy and colorless even under scrutiny. It measures approximately 4.0 x 7.0 mm, with an average total carat weight around 1.5 carats including the accents, and ships with an official certificate of authenticity and a unique serial number. Wondering how lab-grown stones compare over time? Our guides on whether lab-grown diamonds hold value and how lab-grown diamonds are made answer the questions buyers actually ask.
Scalloped pavé and a gallery that glitters sideways
Half the band carries scalloped pavé set with lab-grown diamond accents, so the sparkle wraps into view whenever your hand moves. Below the center stone, the gallery itself is encrusted with diamonds — a detail borrowed from heirloom jewelry, where the parts only the wearer sees are finished as carefully as the parts everyone does. The band averages 1.7 mm, slim enough to keep the look graceful. See the full range of our emerald cut engagement rings and wider diamond jewelry for related designs.
Three karats of solid yellow gold
Pick your karat from the drop-down: 10K for maximum durability at the friendliest price, 14K for the classic balance of strength and rich warmth (our default recommendation), or 18K for the highest gold content and the deepest hue. Every option is solid gold from surface to core, exactly like the rest of our solid gold rings — the color is permanent and will never turn your skin green. The karat comparison guide covers the details, and white or rose gold versions are available on request. A matching band can be custom made to order.

Sizing & care
Choose your size from the drop-down menu, and use our find your size guide if you want to double-check before ordering — sizing can vary slightly between jewelers. Care is straightforward: a soak in warm, mildly soapy water, a gentle pass with a soft brush around the gallery and pavé, then a rinse and pat dry. Stored in its luxury ring box between wears, this is a ring built to become the heirloom it resembles. An optional independent appraisal is available; the fee is non-refundable once completed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose an emerald cut for an engagement ring?
The emerald cut trades glitter for glow: long step facets reflect light in broad, elegant flashes. It looks refined on the hand, elongates the finger, and has anchored heirloom and estate jewelry for a century.
Is a lab-grown diamond really a diamond?
Yes — chemically, physically, and optically identical to a mined diamond, with the same Mohs 10 hardness. It is not a simulant or substitute; it is diamond, grown above ground.
Will this ring age like an heirloom piece?
That is the intent. Solid gold does not wear through or change color, diamond is the hardest gemstone known, and the certificate with its unique serial number travels with the ring for future generations.
What do the D color and VVS clarity grades mean?
D is the top of the diamond color scale — fully colorless. VVS means inclusions so small they are invisible without strong magnification. In an open-faceted emerald cut, both grades are genuinely visible quality, not fine print.
What size is the center diamond?
Approximately 4.0 x 7.0 mm in a classic elongated ratio. The ring's average total carat weight, including the accent diamonds, is about 1.5 carats and may vary slightly.
Is the certification from IGI?
Yes. The lab-grown diamond is IGI certified, and each ring includes an official certificate of authenticity plus a unique serial number verifying its quality and origin.
Which yellow gold karat is best for daily wear?
14K is our default recommendation — hard-wearing with a rich, warm color. Choose 10K for the most durability and the lowest price, or 18K for the deepest gold tone and highest precious-metal content.
Can this design be made in white or rose gold?
Yes. Yellow gold in 10K, 14K, or 18K is selectable from the drop-down, and solid white or rose gold versions are available on request — contact us before you order.
Does the sparkle continue around the band?
Scalloped pave extends halfway around the band, and the gallery beneath the center stone is also set with lab-grown diamonds, so the ring catches light from the top and the sides alike.
Can I get a matching wedding band?
Yes — a matching band can be custom made to order to sit beautifully alongside this ring. Contact us and we will arrange it.
Is engraving included?
Yes, complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters — a date, a name, or a phrase that makes the ring unmistakably yours.
How long will my ring take to arrive?
Each ring is made to order; please allow 3–5 weeks for production. Custom modifications may affect the timeline and pricing.
What is the safest way to clean it?
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap, and a soft toothbrush around the gallery and pave. Rinse, pat dry with a lint-free cloth, and store the ring in its box between wears.
✨ Production time
Every ring on this page is cast, set and finished for your order. Nothing is taken from stock.
- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.

- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10
- FedEx 2Day® — $22

We ship worldwide with DHL. Live rates for your address are calculated at checkout — usually DHL Express Worldwide, with DHL eCommerce Parcel Standard also offered to some destinations as a slower, lower-cost option.
For many countries, duties and taxes can be prepaid at checkout for a smoother delivery — if prepaid, no additional fees are due on arrival. Customs fees are set by your country and are non-refundable once the order has shipped.
Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.
• Women’s rings: up to 16 characters
• Men’s rings: up to 25 characters
FONT AND SYMBOLS
Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
