Part cathedral, part midnight — this coffin cut diamond ring set pairs an IGI-certified D color, VVS clarity lab-grown diamond with a diamond-accented contour band, all in warm solid yellow gold. Gothic geometry, heirloom light.
The Engagement Ring
An elongated coffin cut lab-grown diamond of approximately 10 x 6 mm (about 1.80–2.10 carats), framed by milgrain and beadwork detail that gives the design its vintage-meets-modern edge.
The Contour Band
A curved, diamond-accented band that traces the coffin silhouette precisely, completing a celestial, crown-like profile on the hand. Average band width is a delicate 1.7 mm.
The coffin cut: gothic-luxe geometry
The coffin cut is one of the rarest silhouettes in fine jewelry — an elongated, angular shape with tapered sides that reads unmistakably gothic while still catching light like a classic diamond. Where round brilliants whisper tradition, this shape makes a statement: romantic, a little dark, entirely intentional. It has become the signature of coffin cut engagement rings chosen by brides who want their ring to feel like theirs alone. If the aesthetic speaks to you, our guide to coffin cut engagement ring meaning and styling explores where the shape came from and how to wear it.
A certified lab-grown diamond, D color and VVS clarity
The center stone is a lab-grown diamond — a real diamond, chemically and optically identical to a mined one, rating a perfect 10 on the Mohs hardness scale. It arrives with an official IGI certificate documenting its D color grade (the highest on the scale, fully colorless) and VVS clarity, so its brilliance is verified rather than promised. Curious how these stones come to be? Read how lab-grown diamonds are made, or compare grading houses in our IGI vs GIA certification guide. The accent stones are lab-grown diamonds as well, graded D–F color and VVS–VS clarity, so the sparkle is consistent across both rings.
Warm solid yellow gold, three karats
This set is handcrafted in your choice of solid 10K, 14K, or 18K yellow gold, selected from the drop-down. 10K is the most durable and most affordable; 14K is the classic balance of strength, warmth, and value; 18K carries the richest, deepest yellow. Whichever you choose, the gold runs all the way through — this is the same solid construction found across our solid gold rings. Undecided? The 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat comparison guide breaks the choice down, and the design is also available in solid white or rose gold on request.
Milgrain, beadwork, and a matching silhouette
Fine milgrain and beadwork detailing edge the setting, lending the set its antique, candlelit character — a natural companion to gothic engagement rings and dark-romantic bridal styling. Because the contour band is shaped to this exact ring, the two pieces sit flush as one sculpted profile; browse more matching wedding ring sets for women if a coordinated look is what you are after. Every order arrives in a luxury ring box with free USA shipping, and every stone is conflict-free.

Sizing & care
Choose your ring size from the drop-down menu; if you are between sizes or ordering as a surprise, our find your size guide makes it easy to measure at home. Care is simple: soak in warm water with a drop of mild soap, brush gently with a soft toothbrush, and pat dry. Diamond is the hardest gemstone there is, but storing the set in its box keeps the milgrain detail and the gold's polish pristine between wears. An optional professional appraisal can be added from the drop-down menu.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a coffin cut diamond?
A coffin cut is a rare elongated shape with angular, tapered sides inspired by the classic coffin silhouette. It is a favorite for gothic, celestial, and alternative bridal styles because it looks bold and modern while still delivering true diamond brilliance.
Is a lab-grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond with the same chemical composition, optical brilliance, and Mohs 10 hardness as a mined diamond — the only difference is that it was grown above ground.
What does IGI certified mean?
The center diamond arrives with an official certificate from IGI, the International Gemological Institute, independently documenting its cut, color, clarity, and carat weight so you can verify exactly what you own.
What do D color and VVS clarity mean?
D is the highest color grade a diamond can receive — fully colorless and icy bright. VVS means very, very slightly included: any inclusions are so minute they are invisible without strong magnification.
What is included in this bridal set?
Two coordinated pieces: the coffin cut lab-grown diamond engagement ring and a matching diamond-accented contour band shaped to sit flush against it.
How large is the center diamond?
Approximately 10 x 6 mm, which works out to roughly 1.80–2.10 carats depending on the final cut of your stone. The elongated shape wears larger than its carat weight suggests.
Which karat of yellow gold should I choose?
10K is the most durable and budget-friendly, 14K is the most popular balance of strength and warm color, and 18K has the highest gold content with the richest tone. All three are solid gold through and through.
Can I order this set in white or rose gold?
Yes. The drop-down covers solid yellow gold in 10K, 14K, and 18K, and the same design is available in solid white gold or rose gold on request — just contact us before ordering.
Is this set durable enough for everyday wear?
Yes. Diamond rates 10 on the Mohs scale — the hardest gemstone known — and solid gold is a lifetime metal. Remove the rings for heavy lifting or harsh chemicals and they will stay beautiful for decades.
Are the accent stones also lab-grown diamonds?
Yes. The accents are lab-grown diamonds graded D–F color and VVS–VS clarity, so their icy sparkle matches the certified center stone.
Do you offer engraving?
Yes — complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included, perfect for a date, initials, or a private phrase between the two of you.
How long does production take?
Each set is handmade to order; please allow 2–5 weeks for production. Requested modifications may adjust the timeline or pricing slightly.
Can I customize the diamond size or shape?
Yes. Custom diamond sizes, shapes, and colors are available — contact us for a tailored quote. An optional appraisal can also be added from the drop-down menu; appraisal fees are non-refundable once completed.
How should I clean this ring set?
Soak both rings in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, brush gently with a soft toothbrush around the milgrain and accent stones, rinse, and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
✨ Production time

- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.

Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.

Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
