Every court needs a sun. The Sun Queen is a champagne moissanite engagement ring built like a small coronation: a certified marquise-cut champagne moissanite glowing at the heart of a lotus-inspired crown, butterfly details at its shoulders, and a twisted vine band in warm solid yellow gold. Where most rings sparkle, this one radiates.
Champagne and Gold, One Warm Chord
Champagne moissanite glows in warm, sunlit tones — and setting it in yellow gold is tone-on-tone dressing, the stone and metal reinforcing each other instead of competing. The champagne color is a property of the stone itself, not a surface treatment, so the warmth is permanent. It is the same golden-hour palette that draws people to our yellow gold jewelry, concentrated into a single regal centerpiece.
The Marquise, the Royal Cut
The marquise is the most aristocratic of cuts — commissioned for a French royal court, pointed at both ends, and famous for making fingers look longer and stones look larger than their weight. Our guide to why the marquise is the most elongating shape explains the geometry; the rest of the family lives in our marquise moissanite engagement rings collection. Here, the certified champagne marquise is ringed by colorless moissanite accents graded D color and VVS1 clarity — icy white points of fire that make the warm center burn brighter.
Lotus, Butterfly, Vine
The lotus-inspired crown lifts the stone like a flower opening at dawn; butterfly detailing rests at the shoulders; and the twisted vine band winds the whole design together with organic movement. It is a fairy-tale silhouette executed in heirloom materials — kindred to our floral engagement rings and the enchanted end of our fairy engagement rings. Moissanite itself is silicon carbide, a real lab-grown gemstone at 9.25 on the Mohs scale with more fire than diamond — and unlike look-alikes, it earns that fire honestly, as moissanite vs cubic zirconia makes clear.
Solid Yellow Gold, Made to Outlast Its Story
Choose 10K for the most durable and most affordable option, 14K for the classic balance of strength and rich color most couples pick, or 18K for the highest gold content and the deepest warmth — every karat is real solid yellow gold, so the color is permanent all the way through. White or rose gold is available on request. Gold this good deserves an occasional once-over; our guide on how to care for gold jewelry keeps it simple.

Sizing & Care
The ring is made to order in the size you choose — measure with our ring size guide first, and round up if you fall between sizes. Moissanite’s 9.25 Mohs hardness handles daily wear with ease: warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush restore full fire, and slipping the ring off for rough work protects the lotus crown and vine details. Ships free within the USA in a free luxury ring box; every stone is conflict-free.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is champagne moissanite?
Moissanite — silicon carbide, a real lab-grown gemstone — in a warm champagne hue. The color sits in golden, sunlit territory: richer than a colorless stone, softer than a brown one, and glowing rather than dark.
Is the champagne color a coating?
No. The color is a property of the stone itself, not a film or surface layer, so everyday wear and normal cleaning leave the warmth untouched.
Is the center stone certified?
Yes. The marquise champagne moissanite is certified, documenting the stone’s identity rather than leaving it to trust.
What does D color / VVS1 mean for the accents?
D is the very top of the color scale — fully colorless — and VVS1 means inclusions so small they are very hard to find under magnification. The accents read as pure white fire around the warm center.
Why choose a marquise cut?
The marquise’s pointed, elongated outline makes the finger look longer and the stone look larger than its weight suggests — and its royal-commission history suits a ring named for a queen.
What do the lotus and butterfly mean?
The lotus stands for awakening and rising beautifully from humble beginnings; the butterfly for transformation. Together with the vine band, the ring tells a story of growth — fitting for the start of a marriage.
Which karat should I choose?
All three are real solid yellow gold. 10K is the hardest and most affordable, 14K is the most popular balance of durability and rich color, and 18K carries the highest gold content and the deepest warmth.
Is this real solid gold?
Yes — the ring is cast in solid yellow gold in your chosen karat, never plated or filled, so the golden color is permanent all the way through the metal.
Can I get it in white or rose gold?
Yes. White and rose gold are available on request — the champagne center reads a touch cooler against white metal and even warmer against rose.
Is moissanite durable enough for daily wear?
Yes. At 9.25 on the Mohs scale, moissanite is second in hardness only to diamond — harder than sapphire or ruby — and shrugs off the wear of an everyday ring.
How do I clean the ring?
Warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush. Work gently around the lotus crown and butterfly details, rinse, and pat dry — the fire returns immediately.
Is this a good non-traditional engagement ring?
Exactly its purpose. The champagne color, sculptural lotus crown, and fantasy styling make it a deliberate alternative to the classic white solitaire — distinctive without sacrificing heirloom materials.
What comes with the ring?

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
