Drawn like a compass needle pointing north, the kite-cut ruby at the heart of this ruby engagement ring set turns geometry into romance. A vivid 1.4-carat lab-grown ruby sits sealed inside a sleek bezel of solid white gold, while its companion — a chevron wedding band traced in moissanite or natural diamonds — nests against the angle like an arrow finding its mark. Two rings, one deliberate line.
The Engagement Ring
A 6.0 x 10.0 mm kite-cut lab-grown ruby held in a smooth, full bezel — the most protective setting in fine jewelry, wrapping the stone’s edges in an unbroken rim of precious metal.
The Wedding Band
A chevron band angled to trace the ruby’s lower point exactly, set with your choice of D-color VVS1 moissanite or natural conflict-free diamonds. The two rings sit flush, no gap.
A cut with architectural intent
The kite cut is a modern rarity: an elongated, four-sided shape balanced between vintage geometry and contemporary edge. On this set it does double duty — the long axis stretches elegantly down the finger, while the crisp facet lines give the red stone a stained-glass quality that softer cuts can’t match. It belongs to the same daring design family as our other kite-cut engagement rings, and it makes an unforgettable first impression at any angle.
Why a bezel is the connoisseur’s choice
A bezel setting wraps the ruby’s entire girdle in a continuous band of metal — no prongs to snag on knitwear, no exposed corners to knock against door frames. For an angular stone, that protection matters: the frame turns the cut’s sharpest features into its safest ones. The look is sleek and intentional, closer to modern sculpture than conventional sparkle, which is exactly why bezel-set engagement rings keep winning over brides who work with their hands. Our guide to engagement ring styles and setting types breaks down how bezels compare to prongs and halos.
A genuine ruby with a modern origin
The center stone is a lab-grown ruby — real corundum, chemically and optically identical to its mined counterpart, rating 9 on the Mohs scale so it stands up to a lifetime of daily wear. Growing the crystal above ground yields the saturated crimson that mined material rarely achieves without a premium price. Curious how ruby’s red compares to its January cousin? Our garnet vs ruby comparison settles the question — and more crimson designs await in our ruby engagement rings collection.
Solid white gold or platinum, nothing less
Choose 10K, 14K, or 18K solid white gold, or naturally white platinum. 10K is the hardest and most affordable; 14K is the all-rounder most couples pick; 18K carries the richest gold content; platinum is the densest, most durable, and hypoallergenic. The karat comparison guide in our journal explains how each option wears over the decades. Whichever you choose, both rings in the set are cast in the same solid metal, so they age in perfect step — a quiet advantage of buying a matched pair, as with all our wedding ring sets for women.

Sizing & care
Both rings are made to order in your size, with half and quarter sizes available in the drop-down. Measure carefully with our ring size guide — jewelers’ sizing tools can differ by up to half a size, so it’s worth double-checking before you order. Caring for the set is easy: ruby’s Mohs 9 hardness handles everyday life, and the bezel adds an extra layer of protection. Clean with warm water, gentle soap, and a soft brush; dry with a lint-free cloth. Take the rings off for gym sessions and gardening, and store them in the free luxury ring box they arrive in. USA shipping is free.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly is included in this set?
Two rings, sold together as a two-piece set: the bezel-set ruby engagement ring and the matching chevron wedding band with your chosen accent stones. They are designed to nest flush against each other.
Is the ruby real?
Yes — it is a genuine lab-grown ruby: real corundum with the identical chemistry, hardness, and glow of a mined ruby. It was created above ground, which is the only difference, and it is never to be confused with an imitation stone.
What are the ruby’s measurements?
The center stone measures 6.0 x 10.0 mm in its elongated four-sided cut and weighs approximately 1.4 carats. The long silhouette wears beautifully down the finger.
Why choose a bezel over prongs?
A bezel encircles the stone completely, protecting its edges and corners from knocks and snags — the most secure setting style there is. It also gives the ring a sleek, modern profile that slides smoothly over gloves and never catches on fabric.
Do the two rings sit together without a gap?
Yes. The wedding band’s chevron angle is contoured to follow the lower point of the center stone, so the pair stacks flush as one continuous design.
Which metals are available?
10K, 14K, or 18K solid white gold, or platinum — each solid through and through. Both rings in the set are made in the same metal you select.
How do the karats differ?
10K is the hardest and most affordable, 14K balances durability with a bright white sheen and is our most popular pick, and 18K holds the richest gold content. Platinum is naturally white, densest of all, and hypoallergenic.
Moissanite or natural diamond accents — which should I pick?
Both are near-colorless and brilliant. Moissanite (D, VVS1) delivers maximum fire for the price; the natural diamonds (G/H, I1 eye-clean) are conflict-free and suit buyers set on mined stones. At accent size, the difference is invisible to nearly everyone.
Is a lab-grown ruby durable enough for daily wear?
Yes. Ruby rates 9 on the Mohs scale — only diamond and moissanite are harder — and the bezel setting shields the stone’s perimeter, making this one of the most wear-resistant designs we offer.
How long does production take?
Each set is handmade to order — please allow 3-5 weeks. Requested modifications may extend the timeline and adjust pricing.
Can the rings be engraved?
Yes, complimentary engraving up to 16 characters is included — a date, initials, or a phrase only the two of you understand.
How should I confirm my ring size?
Check our online sizing guide before ordering; measurements can vary up to half a size between different jewelers’ tools. Half and quarter sizes are available in the drop-down menu.
Can I swap the center stone for another gem?
Yes — alternative gemstones are available on request. Contact us for a custom quote in this bezel design.
Is an appraisal offered?
An optional appraisal can be added from the drop-down menu. The appraisal fee is non-refundable once the work has been performed.
✨ Production time

- Made-to-order solid gold and platinum: 3–6 weeks, depending on the design. Pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end.

- USPS Ground Advantage — free on every order
- FedEx Home Delivery® — $10

Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.
AVAILABILITY
Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Limits depend on the width and design of the band. Spaces count toward the total.

Standard engraving is complimentary and set in Arial, chosen because it stays legible at very small sizes. These symbols are included at no extra cost:

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
