Two paths of precious metal wind around the finger and meet beneath a blush-pink stone. The Sophia’s twisted vine band turns a cushion cut morganite engagement ring into a small parable about growing together — a natural 1.9 carat center held in solid white gold or platinum, with moissanite or natural diamond accents glinting along the vine.
The Vine: A Band That Tells a Story
Straight bands hold a stone; the Sophia’s band grows toward it. Two strands of metal twist around each other along the 2.0 mm band — intertwining paths that stand for growth, unity, and a love that flourishes through every season — with accent stones set into the vine like buds catching light. It is the kind of organic silhouette that anchors our nature-inspired engagement rings, and it gives the ring movement from every angle, not just from above.
A Cushion of Natural Blush
At the center sits a natural cushion-cut morganite, 7.0 x 7.0 mm and approximately 1.9 carats — a softened square whose rounded corners echo the band’s curves. Every stone is genuinely natural, so expect your own shade somewhere between light pink, peachy pink, and soft peach; leave a note at checkout if you have a preference and we’ll do our best to accommodate it. Morganite’s gentle color carries a matching meaning — compassion, harmony, enduring affection — which is why it keeps rising through our morganite engagement rings collection. In cool white metal, the blush reads brighter and more deliberate than it ever could tone-on-tone.
For the Non-Traditional Bride
A pink center stone on a sculptural vine is a quiet departure from the classic white solitaire — the Sophia belongs with our gemstone engagement rings for exactly that reason. If you’re weighing a colored stone against a classic diamond, our guide to non-traditional engagement rings walks through the honest trade-offs, and our overview of engagement ring styles and settings shows where vine bands sit in the wider design landscape.
Your Metal, Your Accents
Select the metal from the drop-down menu:
- 10K white gold — the most durable and most affordable option.
- 14K white gold — the classic best-seller and our default, balancing durability and gold content.
- 18K white gold — the highest gold content and richest warmth.
- Platinum — naturally white, noticeably denser in hand, and hypoallergenic.
Yellow or rose gold is available on request, and our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat guide compares the golds in detail. Then choose the accents along the vine:
- Moissanite — D color, VVS1 clarity, Mohs 9.
- Natural diamond — G/H color, I1 eye-clean clarity, conflict-free, Mohs 10.

Sizing & Care
Measure before you order: between ring sizers and mandrels, sizes can vary by up to half a size from jeweler to jeweler, so use our ring size guide to be sure. Morganite’s 7.5–8 Mohs hardness handles everyday wear; take the ring off for heavy lifting and gardening, and clean it with warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush — the twists of the vine appreciate an occasional gentle scrub to keep the accents bright. No harsh chemicals, no ultrasonic cleaners. The Sophia arrives in a free luxury ring box with free USA shipping.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the twisted vine design symbolize?
The two strands winding into one band represent intertwining paths — growth, unity, and a love that keeps flourishing. It is one of the oldest romantic motifs in jewelry, given a modern, sculptural profile here.
Is the Sophia’s morganite natural?
Yes — the cushion-cut center is genuine natural morganite. Color varies stone to stone from light pink to peachy pink to soft peach, making every Sophia one of a kind.
Why pair a cushion cut with a vine band?
The cushion’s rounded corners continue the band’s soft, organic curves, so stone and vine read as one flowing design instead of a stone parked on a band. It also faces up generously for its 1.9 carats.
How large is the center stone?
The cushion measures 7.0 x 7.0 mm — approximately 1.9 carats. Morganite is less dense than diamond, so it looks larger face-up than a diamond of equal carat weight.
Does morganite work in white gold?
Strikingly. Cool white metal contrasts with the warm blush center, making the pink more vivid than it appears in rose gold, where stone and metal share one warm tone. It is the choice for wearers who want the color to stand out.
Which metal should I choose?
10K white gold is the most durable and affordable, 14K is the best-selling default, 18K has the highest gold content, and platinum is naturally white, denser, and hypoallergenic. Yellow or rose gold is available on request.
Is the ring solid precious metal?
Yes — every option is solid throughout, whether 10K, 14K, or 18K white gold or platinum. That means it can be resized, re-polished, and worn for generations.
Moissanite or natural diamond accents — which is better?
Moissanite (D, VVS1) gives maximum brilliance for the price; natural diamond (G/H, eye-clean I1, conflict-free) is the traditional pick. Along a vine band’s small accents, the visual difference is minimal — choose by budget and sentiment.
Is a twisted band comfortable for daily wear?
Yes — the twist sits on a slim 2.0 mm average band, so it wears like any delicate ring. The sculpted profile adds texture you can feel without adding bulk.
Is morganite durable enough for an engagement ring?
Yes. At 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale it suits daily wear; simply remove the ring for rough tasks and clean it gently to keep both the center and the vine accents brilliant.
Can I pick my morganite’s shade?
Yes — leave a color preference in your checkout note, anywhere from light pink to soft peach, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.
How long does the Sophia take to make?
Each ring is handmade to order — please allow 3–5 weeks. Requested modifications are subject to revised production timelines and pricing.
Is engraving included?
Yes — complimentary engraving up to 16 characters is included, a fitting touch for a ring built around intertwined stories.
Can I order a different gemstone or add an appraisal?
Yes to both. Alternative center stones are available via custom quote, and an optional appraisal can be added from the drop-down menu; the appraisal fee is non-refundable once the work has been performed.

Every order ships fully insured and requires a signature. Full details on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Engraving is cut into the inside of the band, so it stays between the two of you.

Engraving is offered on most — though not all — designs. If it is available for this ring, an engraving field appears with the options above.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every ring on this page is made in solid gold or platinum — never plated, never gold-filled. Solid gold comes in 10K, 14K and 18K across yellow, white and rose; our platinum is 95% pure, naturally hypoallergenic, and white the whole way through. Available metals vary by design and are listed in the selector above. Our Precious Metal Guide explains how each one wears.
Side by side and brand new, the two look almost identical. The difference shows up over years of wear.
White gold is a gold alloy finished with rhodium for brightness. It sits lighter on the hand and costs less, and the rhodium finish is refreshed every few years to keep it crisp.
Platinum is white all the way through, so there is no finish to renew. It is around 40% denser — noticeably weightier — and over time develops a soft matte patina that many people prefer. It can be polished back to a high shine whenever you like.
Our Platinum vs Gold guide compares durability, cost and upkeep in full.
Solid gold is gold throughout — alloyed for strength, but the same metal at the surface as at the core. Gold vermeil is sterling silver with a layer of gold applied over it, which thins with wear and needs replating to stay bright. Rings on this page are solid gold or platinum only. Our Precious Metal Guide sets out where each makes sense.
Neither tarnishes. Gold and platinum are two of the most stable metals used in fine jewelry, and both hold their color indefinitely. Platinum does develop a satin patina as it is worn — that is surface texture rather than damage, and it polishes out at any time. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush is all either metal asks for; see our Jewelry Care Guide.
Nothing on this page is pulled from a shelf. Each solid gold and platinum ring is cast, set and finished for your order, which takes 3 to 6 weeks depending on the design — pavé settings, custom sizing and engraving sit at the longer end. Shipping is added once your ring is finished, and paying for faster shipping speeds up transit only — it does not shorten production. Full timings are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Use the Size Chart linked beside the Add to Bag button, or our full Ring Size Chart. Because these rings are made to order, we cut your size from the start rather than resizing a stock band — so measure carefully. Your first resizing is free if it is still not right. Most designs can be adjusted, though eternity bands and rings with stones set the whole way around usually cannot.
On most designs, yes — if engraving is available for this ring, a text field appears with the options above. Standard engraving is complimentary: up to 16 characters on women’s rings and 25 on men’s, set in Arial, with a small selection of symbols included. Custom fonts and symbols are $25 and are arranged before you order. See the Engraving page for what is possible. Engraved rings are final sale.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unworn rings in original condition. Because solid gold and platinum rings are made to order, they are subject to a restocking fee, and engraved pieces are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Refunds page. Every ring is also covered by our lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
