If natural sapphire substitution: the stone is one of the most durable gemstones available (Mohs 9), suitable for daily wear without special precautions beyond standard fine-jewelry care.

Solid 14K gold doesn't need replating and holds its tone indefinitely with normal wear. A soft jewelry cloth keeps the gold bright.
