The pear-cut ruby center
At the heart of the ring sits a pear-cut lab-grown ruby, about 5×7 mm and 0.8 carats, in the vivid, saturated red that has symbolized passion and vitality for centuries. This is a lab-grown (lab-created) ruby — the same mineral as natural ruby (corundum), with the same physical, chemical and optical properties, grown for brilliant color and excellent clarity. Ruby is exceptionally durable at Mohs 9, second only to diamond.
Natural Australian opal accents
Flanking the center is natural Australian opal, prized for its vibrant play-of-color — shifting flashes of green, blue, pink and orange that make every stone unique. Opal is a softer, more delicate gem at Mohs 5.5–6.5 and contains natural water, so it needs gentle care. Sparkling moissanite accents (a lab-created gem, not a diamond, Mohs 9–9.25) complete the design.
Choose your metal & karat
The ring is made in solid rose gold — never plated or filled — so the warm rose color runs all the way through and won't wear off. Choose the karat that suits you:
Rose gold gets its warm blush from a copper alloy, and higher karats hold more pure gold while lower karats are a touch harder. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat guide explains the differences. Prefer white or yellow gold? This design can be made in either on request — contact us for a custom quote.

Sizing & care
The ring is made to order in full and half sizes from 3 to 11, and complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included. If you're unsure of your size, use our ring size guide before ordering. The ruby is very hard, but the natural opal accents are delicate (Mohs 5.5–6.5) and contain water, so treat the ring gently: clean with a soft, barely-damp cloth, avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners, harsh chemicals, prolonged water, heat and sudden temperature changes, and store it separately. Remove the ring before swimming, showering or heavy work to protect the opal.

Every ring is handmade to order in solid metal and typically ships within 3–5 weeks, packaged in a signature ring box. Because Australian opal is natural, each stone's play-of-color is unique.
Frequently asked questions
Is the ruby natural or lab-grown?
The ruby is lab-grown (lab-created) — the same mineral as natural ruby (corundum), with the same physical, chemical and optical properties and the same Mohs 9 hardness, grown for vivid color and excellent clarity.
Is the opal natural?
Yes. The accents are natural Australian opal, prized for their genuine play-of-color — shifting flashes of green, blue, pink and orange. Each opal is unique.
Are the sparkling accents diamonds?
No — they're moissanite, a lab-created gem with exceptional fire and near-diamond hardness (Mohs 9–9.25). Moissanite is its own gemstone, not a diamond.
How durable is the ring?
The ruby is very hard (Mohs 9), but the natural opal accents are more delicate (Mohs 5.5–6.5) and contain water, so the ring benefits from gentle care and protection from knocks and heat.
How should I care for it?
Clean with a soft, barely-damp cloth. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners, harsh chemicals, prolonged water, heat and sudden temperature changes, and store the ring separately. Remove it before swimming, showering or heavy work to protect the opal.
What metals can I choose?
Solid 10K, 14K or 18K rose gold from the drop-down. White or yellow gold are available on request — contact us for a custom quote.
Is the metal solid or plated?
Always solid. The metal runs through the entire piece, so it will never wear off or expose a base metal underneath.
What gives rose gold its color?
Rose gold is gold alloyed with copper, which lends it a warm pink blush. The color is part of the alloy itself, so it won't fade or wear away.
What's the difference between 10K, 14K and 18K?
Higher karats hold more pure gold but are a little softer; lower karats are harder and more affordable. See our karat comparison guide for details.
How do I find my ring size?
Use our ring size guide. The ring is made to order in sizes 3 to 11, including half and quarter sizes.
Is engraving included?
Yes — complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included. Add your text at checkout.
How long until it ships?
Each ring is handmade to order and typically ships within 3–5 weeks.
