This Skye Kite™ moss agate engagement ring set is a heirloom-tier two-piece bridal stack featuring a kite-cut natural green moss agate center stone (7×10mm, ~1.4ct) with marquise moss agate accents and CZ rounds, paired with a chevron V-shape contour wedding band accented with your choice of moissanite or natural diamond. Crafted in solid 14K white gold throughout. Each natural moss agate's organic green inclusions evoke tranquil forest landscapes — captured woodland scenes worn around the finger. For partners drawn to fairycore, elvish, nature-inspired, fantasy, or non-traditional bridal aesthetics — heirloom-quality engagement rings that combine genuine natural-stone character with solid precious metal construction in a complete two-ring bridal set.
What's in the set
Engagement Ring
Kite-cut natural green moss agate center stone (7×10mm, ~1.4ct) with marquise moss agate accents flanking the center and small accent rounds. Solid 14K white gold.
Chevron Contour Band
V-shape chevron wedding band with pavé accent stones along the V-shape and a marquise accent at the point. Designed to nest beneath the engagement ring. Matching solid 14K white gold.
The two rings work together as a complete bridal stack — the chevron contour band's V-shape fits below the engagement ring's center stone, creating a unified visual that frames the kite-cut moss agate from below. Both rings can also be worn separately as standalone pieces if preferred. Men's matching wedding band sold separately — contact us for coordinated couples set options.
The kite cut + natural moss agate center
The center stone is a 7×10mm kite-cut natural green moss agate (~1.4ct). The kite cut (also called "coffin cut" in gothic-aesthetic contexts) is one of the most distinctive geometric gemstone shapes in fine jewelry — an elongated hexagonal cut with pointed top and bottom and angled side edges. The cut works particularly well for moss agate because the elongated geometry frames the organic green moss inclusions in a deliberately architectural composition — natural chaos held within geometric structure. Natural moss agate (rather than lab-created or simulated) means each stone has its own unique organic inclusion pattern: tiny moss-like green fragments suspended within the translucent stone, no two moss agates ever quite identical. Yours will share the same green character as the moss agate in our photos but with subtle individual variations in the specific moss patterns and crystalline structure.
The marquise moss agate accents
Two marquise-cut moss agate accents flank the center kite stone, with small CZ round accents adding sparkle between the moss agates and the band shoulders. The triple-moss-agate arrangement reinforces the natural green color story across the ring rather than diluting it with white-stone-only accent designs. Like the center stone, the accent moss agates are also natural — maintaining stone authenticity across the entire ring construction.
The chevron contour wedding band
The chevron V-shape contour band is designed to nest beneath the engagement ring. The V-shape fits below the engagement ring's center kite stone, creating a unified visual that frames the moss agate from below. Pavé accent stones (your choice of moissanite or natural diamond) run along the V-shape line, adding continuous brilliance that catches light across the chevron. A single marquise accent stone sits at the point of the V — a delicate detail that completes the chevron line. The contour construction is the most elegant way to pair a wedding band with a kite-cut engagement ring; the V-shape mirrors the angles of the center stone above it.
Choose your accent stones: moissanite or natural diamond
This set offers two accent stone options — select your preference from the drop-down menu when ordering:
- Moissanite accents (D color): 0.3ctw total, lab-grown D-color (highest color grade — completely colorless), 9-9.25 Mohs hardness. Higher optical brilliance than diamond with rainbow flash, more accessible price, sustainable lab-grown origin.
- Natural diamond accents (G/H color, I1 clarity): 0.3ctw total, conflict-free natural mined diamonds, eye-clean clarity, 10 Mohs hardness. The traditional engagement ring stone with established prestige and resale value.
Both options pair beautifully with the moss agate center. Moissanite delivers more visible sparkle for less cost; natural diamond delivers heritage and tradition. Most buyers choose moissanite for the price-to-brilliance ratio; natural diamond is the right choice if traditional resale value, heritage, or pure traditional symbolism matters more.
Why solid 14K white gold matters
Solid 14K white gold is the metal itself, not a plating layer. The cool white-gold color is permanent and won't fade, the metal won't tarnish, and the ring is suitable for daily wear over decades. White gold creates a clean modern color story that lets the green moss agate read most vividly through cool-natural contrast — the cool metal background makes the organic green stones pop visually while keeping the overall aesthetic clean and contemporary. White gold is also the closest precious-metal aesthetic to platinum at a more accessible price point. Solid gold rings can be resized after purchase and passed down as family heirlooms — appropriate for engagement rings intended to symbolize lasting commitment.
About moss agate — symbolism and history
Moss agate has been valued since ancient times as a stone of growth, abundance, new beginnings, and connection to nature. Often called "the gardener's stone," it was historically believed to encourage plant growth, fertility, and prosperity. In modern symbolism, moss agate represents grounding, emotional balance, tranquility, and harmony with the natural world. As an engagement ring stone, moss agate carries especially meaningful symbolism — a love connected to the natural world, grounded and growing steadily over time, deeply rooted like the moss patterns visible inside each stone. For partners drawn to fairycore, elvish, woodland, witchy, or nature-inspired bridal aesthetics, moss agate is one of the central stones in the non-traditional engagement ring category.
The fairycore and elvish aesthetic
This ring set sits firmly in the fairycore, elvish, woodland, and nature-inspired engagement ring aesthetic — fantasy-coded bridal jewelry drawn from fairy tales, fantasy literature, and woodland imagery. The combination of organic green moss agate + geometric kite cut + solid white gold + chevron contour band reads like a piece lifted from a fantasy novel or fairy tale — appropriate for partners whose romantic imagination is shaped by Tolkien, Sarah J. Maas, Studio Ghibli, witchy aesthetics, or general fairy-tale romanticism. The ring is non-traditional in the best sense: it carries genuine bridal significance through the engagement ring construction while replacing the conventional white-stone solitaire with the more poetic, symbolic moss agate.
Why partners choose this set
This is the right engagement ring set for partners drawn to fairycore, elvish, woodland, nature-inspired, fantasy, or non-traditional bridal aesthetics who want heirloom-quality precious metal materials. Popular as:
- An heirloom-quality engagement ring set for partners drawn to fairycore, elvish, or fantasy aesthetics
- A non-traditional alternative to white-stone solitaires for partners who want organic natural-stone character
- A complete two-ring bridal stack purchase in one transaction
- A coordinated bridal set that can later add a matching men's wedding band for a full couples set
- A meaningful engagement ring for partners drawn to moss agate's grounding/growth symbolism
- A statement bridal piece for partners whose connection to nature is central to their relationship
- A permanent precious-metal ring intended to be passed down as a family heirloom
- A fairy-tale-inspired engagement ring for partners who read fantasy literature

Custom options & sizing
This set is made to order. Please allow 2-5 weeks for production. The set is also available in 14K rose gold or yellow gold on request, or upgraded to 18K solid gold for additional cost — leave a note at checkout or contact us before ordering. Different gemstone options (alternative center stone if desired, larger sizes, custom modifications) are available on request — contact us for a custom quote.
Ring sizes can vary slightly between jewelers — between ring sizers and mandrels, your size can often vary up to a half size. Please reference our sizing guide before ordering. Both rings should be ordered in the same size since they're designed to be worn together as a stack.
Optional appraisal
You can add a written appraisal document from the drop-down menu when ordering — useful for insurance purposes or as part of a proposal package. Please note: the appraisal cost is non-refundable once the appraisal work has been performed.
Sizing & care
Standard fine jewelry care: store in a cloth pouch or jewelry box separated from harder jewelry. Clean gently with a soft brush and warm soapy water, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners and ultrasonic cleaners. Remove before swimming in chlorinated pools or hot tubs.
Moss agate is rated 6-7 on the Mohs hardness scale — durable for daily wear but softer than harder stones like sapphire or diamond. With normal care it holds up well as a daily-wear engagement ring, but avoid sharp impacts and remove during heavy hands-on work. Solid 14K white gold rings can be resized within reason by a local jeweler — solid gold is forgiving for resizing, though the cluster setting + chevron construction add some complexity. The white gold typically receives a thin rhodium finish at manufacture for additional brightness; this can be refreshed at a local jeweler if it wears thin over years.
Moss agate engagement ring set FAQs
What's included in this engagement ring set?
You receive two rings designed to be worn together as a stack: the engagement ring (with kite-cut natural green moss agate center stone, marquise moss agate side accents, and small CZ rounds) and the chevron contour wedding band (with pavé moissanite or natural diamond accents along the V-shape and a marquise accent at the point). Both rings are crafted in solid 14K white gold. Men's matching wedding band is sold separately — contact us for coordinated couples set options.
Is the moss agate real and natural?
Yes. The center stone and marquise side accent stones are all real natural green moss agate — mined from natural sources, not lab-created or simulated. Moss agate is a variety of chalcedony quartz with the distinctive mossy green inclusions that give the stone its name. Each piece of moss agate is unique because the inclusion patterns vary stone-to-stone — yours will share the same green character as the moss agate in our photos but with subtle individual variations.
What's the kite cut?
The kite cut is a distinctive geometric gemstone shape — an elongated hexagonal cut with pointed top and bottom and angled side edges. The same cut is sometimes called the "coffin cut" in gothic-aesthetic contexts. It works particularly well for moss agate because the elongated geometry frames the organic green moss inclusions in a deliberately architectural composition — natural chaos held within geometric structure. The kite cut has surged in popularity for non-traditional bridal jewelry shoppers seeking geometric or alternative engagement ring aesthetics.
What does the chevron contour band do?
The chevron V-shape contour band is designed to nest beneath the engagement ring — the V-shape of the band fits below the engagement ring's center stone, creating a unified visual that frames the kite-cut moss agate from below. The contour construction follows (contours) the shape of the engagement ring rather than sitting flat against it. The result is a complete two-ring bridal stack that reads as one coherent design when worn together. Both rings can also be worn separately if preferred.
Is this real solid 14K white gold?
Yes. Both rings are crafted from solid 14K white gold throughout — the cool white-gold color is the metal itself, not a plating layer. The color is permanent, won't fade, won't wear off, and both rings are suitable for daily wear over decades. Solid gold rings can also be resized and passed down as family heirlooms. 14K white gold typically receives a thin rhodium finish at manufacture for additional brightness — this rhodium layer can be refreshed at any local jeweler if it wears thin over the years.
Should I choose moissanite or natural diamond accents?
Both are excellent options — choose based on your priorities. Moissanite is lab-grown, more sustainable, more affordable, and has higher optical brilliance than diamond (more sparkle and rainbow fire). Natural diamond is the traditional engagement ring stone with established prestige, resale value, and cultural significance. Most buyers choose moissanite for the price-to-brilliance ratio; natural diamond is the right choice if traditional resale value, heritage, or pure traditional symbolism matters more. Both pair beautifully with the moss agate center.
What does moss agate symbolize?
Moss agate has been valued since ancient times as a stone of growth, abundance, new beginnings, and connection to nature. Often called "the gardener's stone," it was historically believed to encourage plant growth, fertility, and prosperity. In modern symbolism, moss agate represents grounding, emotional balance, tranquility, and harmony with the natural world. As an engagement ring stone, it represents a love connected to the natural world — grounded and growing steadily over time.
Why does moss agate work for fairycore or elvish engagement rings?
Moss agate is one of the central stones in fairycore, fantasy, witchy, and elvish bridal aesthetics for several reasons: (1) the organic green inclusions read genuinely natural and woodland-coded; (2) the translucent character with internal moss patterns gives the stone a "trapped fairy garden" visual quality; (3) the historical association with growth/nature/fertility connects to fantasy/folkloric symbolism; (4) the visual character is genuinely distinctive and uncommon in traditional bridal jewelry. For partners whose romantic imagination is shaped by fantasy literature or fairy tales, moss agate is one of the most resonant stone choices available.
Is moss agate durable enough for daily wear?
Moss agate is rated 6-7 on the Mohs hardness scale — durable for daily wear but softer than harder stones like sapphire (9) or diamond (10). With normal care it holds up well as a daily-wear engagement ring, but moss agate is more sensitive to sharp impacts than harder stones. Avoid striking the ring against hard surfaces and remove during heavy hands-on work. If durability is a primary concern, contact us about substituting an alternative center stone while keeping the same design.
Will every ring's moss agate look identical?
No — and that's part of what makes natural moss agate special. Every natural moss agate stone has unique inclusion patterns. Yours will share the same green character as the moss agate in our photos, but the specific moss patterns and crystalline structure will be one-of-a-kind. We hand-select moss agate for each ring to match the general visual character shown in product photos.
Can I get this in rose gold or yellow gold instead?
Yes. The standard option is 14K solid white gold, but we also offer 14K rose gold and 14K yellow gold on request. The metal can also be upgraded to 18K solid gold for an additional cost. Just contact us before ordering or leave a note at checkout. Different gold colors create different visual relationships with the moss agate — white gold creates a clean cool-warm contrast, rose gold creates a soft romantic color story, yellow gold creates a vintage organic feel.
How long does it take to make?
This set is made to order. Please allow 2-5 weeks for production. Requested modifications (different metals, sizing outside the standard range, alternative center stones) may extend the timeline and adjust pricing — we'll confirm everything with you before production begins.
Should both rings be the same size?
Yes. Both rings should be ordered in the same size since they're designed to be worn together as a stack on the same finger. Get professionally sized at a local jeweler before ordering, and if between sizes, go up rather than down.
Can these rings be resized after purchase?
Yes — solid gold rings can be resized within reason by a local jeweler. The cluster setting (engagement ring) and chevron point (contour band) add some complexity, so choose a skilled jeweler who can resize without disrupting the stone settings.
Is there a more accessible version of this set?
Yes. We offer similar moss agate engagement rings in 925 sterling silver vermeil at more accessible price points. Browse our sterling silver engagement ring collection or contact us for the most current sterling silver moss agate options. The sterling silver versions feature the same moss agate authenticity at vermeil-tier pricing.
Is there a matching men's wedding band?
Yes — and we have multiple options. We can custom-make a coordinating men's wedding band in matching 14K white gold (plain or with moss agate inlay), or pair this engagement set with one of our existing men's moss agate tungsten wedding bands for a complete couples set. Browse our men's wedding bands collection or contact us before ordering for coordinated couples set options.
How do I care for these rings?
Standard fine jewelry care: store in a cloth pouch or jewelry box separated from harder jewelry. Clean gently with a soft brush and warm soapy water, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners and ultrasonic cleaners. Remove before swimming in chlorinated pools or hot tubs. Remove the rings during heavy hands-on work to protect the moss agate stones.
